Loving 1000 North!
First time here. After the fantastic meal we enjoyed, I wish I lived closer. The place is great. Enjoyed the atmosphere, nice, modern, not stuffy. Service from Diane F was excellent. Menu only an entrรฉe portion of Crab Cakes (2), so shared an order and they split it very nicely in the kitchen. Loved the Crab Cake and followed with Rack of Lamb, perfect. Wines by the glass were nice, nice wine glasses too. As another recent post stated, the Rolls they serve are really terrible. Agree with the sentiment that it doesn't fit in with the overall amazing quality and execution of every other dish we enjoyed. Certainly an easy fix. Perhaps a playground for the wealthy, but accessible to all and very welcoming. Love it here! Be back soon. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Be the first to ReplySadly service has really declined
We have always loved 1000 North but the service for the last couple of visits has been horrible. We understand staffing is difficult but you are paying $98 for steak you would hope for good service. Our last visit was on 2/3/24 for a birthday celebration. We ordered drinks and waited for them. When our food came we still had not gotten them. When the runner brought our food we thought they had the wrong table. One steak was not what we ordered and not prepared the way we asked as well as one side we did not order. The waiter had to be found and he confirmed he had put in the order wrong. He offered to comp the steak which was kind but not what we wanted. We wanted more drinks during the meal and no server to be found. We skipped more drinks and went to coffee and desert. Big surprise the coffee came after we were done with desert. The deserts became comped. The restaurant is relying on its good reviews and reputation but not delivering. The manager thanked us for our feedback and said he hoped to see us soon. Sadly we will not be back there are too many good steak restaurants to continue with this kind of service
Be the first to ReplyGreat Dinner again- BUT
My Wife and I went to dinner again as we always enjoy having the same Dish - Dover Sole. But first I would like to address the BUT. For as long as we have been going there - they always start off by giving you a hunk of bread that looks like old fashion parkerhouse dinner rolls. I am just amazed that they would serve such a tasteless piece of bread when they spend so much time on everything else to taste good. This bread is more like cheap grocery store sandwich bread made with plain all purpose flour. You would think it would ring a bell when so many times the bread comes back barely eaten. They need to wake up and serve a nice artisan sourdough bread that has some body and taste. The next BUT is the price of the salads - $26.00 is just too much. I know the industry has take a big jump in salad prices which I understand - but that is too much. In general although many write that all the pricing is high - it really is not when you look at what you get and the food cost of the items. The next BUT is why did they remove the Broccolini from the menu? It was one of the best. Anyway everything was just great starting from the Caesar salad. The Dover Sole is one of the best anywhere - delicate with a nice flavored sauce that does not over power the taste of the Dover Sole. The potato puree or mashed potatoes are my favorite of any restaurant anywhere that serves mashed potatoes. They obviously prepare them the french way to make them so smooth and buttery delicious. We also had the brussel sprouts and the heirloom carrots which also were very good. Add in a nice bottle of Merlot and well just a great dinner.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect waterside dining
Very nice stop from the land or from the water. Not a beach bar, but a great restaurant, very well run, nice menu, and a great staff. Giant space to dock any size boat, and a crewman to help bring you in. The menu was well put together and everything we ordered was fresh tasting and well prepared. Nice wines and knowledgeable and honest on opinions of the menu vs your tastes . Always come here at least once, great view , and greater vibe.
Be the first to ReplyDramatically overpriced solid dining experience
Service was great, food quality was as solid. Prices are absurd. This place has become a total ripoff. $350 per person for a nice solid meal is overpriced 2x plus. Iโve been a standing weekly customer for years and I will NOT be back. 1000 North is completely out of touch when it comes to price/value/quality equation in dining.
Be the first to ReplyPretty good, but pricey
Location and decor is great. Super Expensive. Had the Sea Bass and Lobster Mac. Sea Bass was a bit tough. Lobster Mac was excellent, however, when we looked at our doggy bag of Lobster Mac when we got home, someone at the restaurant had picked all of the lobster out and all we had were mac and cheese left. Wont go back for the food, but may sit at the bar and get a cocktail.

Be the first to ReplyVery good, but nothing Wow
This was the second visit, and both times, the food and service were very good. Both times, members of my party had the Dover sole and were pleased. Nothing wowed me except the atmosphere outside was very intimate and inviting.
Be the first to Replycould be better
Yes, very expensive. Some items were great and unique like the (small) strawberry dessert (althou the sections of grapefruit did not fit IMO), brussel sprouts, crab artichoke (could be a meal by its self), special mussels app, and the broccolini. The corn brรปlรฉe was unique but runny and, perhaps, too sweet (and I love sweet). The lamb (usually my fav) was not what I was expecting in flavor and I would not order again. Wagyu steak was perfect flavor. The crab cake was very large as were most portions. Dress attire varied..one man in shorts. Staff was fine. Must admit I felt the table setting lacked the price point of the restaurant. What happened to white tablecloths and staff that rid the table of crumbs? Bread served to the table was boring. Glad they upgraded their desserts.
Be the first to ReplyThis was a search and try as a possible venue for a later celebration.
My wife and I had an early reservation which afforded us taking a walkabout of the restaurant. Beautiful location, the Intracoastal and Jupiter Lighthouse as a backdrop, perfect. A Pre dinner cocktail is always a first at any restaurant that I review. K.C. was our bartender and my call was an old fashioned, he asked me for any particular brand that I preferred, this is when I asked for him to choose for me. A good bartender will always take the call and make his special, I was not disappointed, smooth with just enough sweetness to balance the drink. KUDOS K.C. My wife enjoyed her Grey Goose Cosmo, wonderful start. The open kitchen is a show in itself. Our waitress for the evening was Karime, what an engaging young lady, she listened to our comments and then suggested the Summer Special Prix Fixe. We made our choices plus decided to go with the wine pairings, all of which Karime detailed in full. Starter, huge Shrimp Cocktails delicious, Filet Mignon rounded off with Key Lime Cheesecake. We enjoyed the Pinot Noir as a pairing, with desert Fernando Kaiser served us a tasty Muscatel. Again Karime was unaware that I do write reviews for TA. We also gathered some good input on contacts if we decide to go with 1000North, Karly Pettis I will be in touch. Cannot thank the staff enough from reception throughout.
Be the first to ReplyOver-priced. Dinner not properly prepared. Was sick during the night.
The location and atmosphere are excellent, and the service friendly and very good. I ate at the outdoor bar downstairs. But that is the extent of the positives. The steak was over-cooked (I asked for medium-well and got well), the taste was poor. During the night I was sick to my stomach, and it may well have been caused by the meal. And ... this place is way over-priced. For a third of the cost, comparable quality can be found in the Palm Beaches. Bottom line: Do not go to 1000 North, look elsewhere.
Be the first to Replynot at all worth the $
Been meaning to write this since our anniversary June 16, the meal I was served was far worse than anything I could cook at home. I have dietary issues, when you make reservation, it asks that, then when you arrive, they ask again, no dairy shouldn't be that difficult after all olive oil is a perfectly fine substitute. I ordered sword fish au poivre, apparently the gravy had dairy so that was a no go but the piece of fish I was served wasn't cooked was bland dry and didn't even have any pepper on it. and there it sat with a piece of greenery on my plate. Dessert was brought since we were celebrating our anniversary some lovely chocolate lava cake, husband said it was good, none for me since ice cream is dairy. Left hungry and not happy, Oh and lastly the outside seating is not very attractive even though it is on the water.
Be the first to ReplyNo more cigars on the point
This has always been a special event place. Always was worth it for me since bought an over priced cigar and smoked on the point. Just did this for fathers day. Since a buddy just died said letโs go have a decent meal and smoke a nice cigar. After dinner headed to the point and noticed no chairs. Asked the bartender if I could take a couple of chairs . She was impolite and indicated cigar smoking not allowed. Was surprised. Went in to talk to a manager, but left waiting for quite sometime. Be warned seasonal visitors if you want to smoke head to the Square Grouper or The Woods. You canโt smoke here. Was a nice young employee who seemed concerned losing business, but wanted to offer me a free drink. I declined. Honestly will not go back. The food and drink overpriced, but more a vibe. Sad to check it off the list, but other places if you are a cigar smoker. Be warned you are no longer welcomed. Surprised with Jordan part owner we are now pariahโs. Used to defend it, but now know why the locals call it โNorth of 1000โ instead of โ1000 North. โThe good news is no dearth of good spots in North Palm Beach. Sad end for me of this place. Guess this is the new politically correct place. Sign of the times.
Be the first to ReplyNo happy
I was there with my family, prices dont are in concordance with quality. Expensive for the food that we received. I dont recomend this place.
Be the first to ReplyASTRONOMICAL PRICES
If you read my other reviews, price isn't something I comment on often as I appreciate good food and willing to pay a premium for a nice meal. I am local and eaten here dozens of times. Always enjoy the atmosphere and the service. We sat at the bar and started with a nice guy who was as very attentive and friendly. He was signing off and after our drinks turned us over to a younger Latin girl who was clearly not happy to be there and doing the bare minimum to drop the food and go. This is not the reason for the mediocre review. I know fuel costs and inflation are real issues today. However this place has lost their minds! Used to LOVE the scallops at $32. So you need to raise them almost 60% to $52? Little extreme. Also a strip steak at $78 should absolutely blow you away right? This was a solid decent no better. Maybe they are going for a much more exclusive audience, but based on a weekend visit with an empty restaurant, I do not think it's working. Special occasions maybe, but cannot be a local diner anymore. Too many other choices at literally half the money.
