Fun! A wonderful staff and don't miss the delicious dark sourdough bread. The desserts were quite exceptional. Ask about the nearly private chefs table in the basement. In the current Covid times, the table for our 7 top was practically our own private room. Entrees were good, well seasoned but nothing exceptional.

This is a great casual wine bar where I had the most amazing lamb shoulder and for which I would go back. Not that the salmon ceviche was poor but the lamb was simply fantastic. Overall, this is a good location with a great wine list and worth a visit.

It's a nice upscale space with quite a few seats at the centerpiece bar and tables around the outside which are just about all on a window plus there are about 4 tables outside when the weather is good. Ingredients are high quality though your bill will likely match, and the team service can be a bit quirky at times (our dinner started with a new server spilling a glass of rose Champagne on our table including a bit on my wife and her white coat on the back of her chair).Pea soup was quite nice, as was the crab salad appetizer. My wife also enjoyed her seared scallops while my fish pie was a bit under seasoned but just not great especially at £21.50. Cheese to end the meal was a good option and we didn't mind the small portions since it was at the end of our meal. There are about 30-40 wines by the glass including some higher end pours and all are served in good stemware. The Taittinger vintage Comtes de Champagne is a solid choice, whereas the white Burgundy was way too heavy on oak and the Hugel Riesling was not really recognizable as Hugel, Riesling, or even Alsatian (and yes, I've tasted through many Hugel wines at their tasting room in Riquewihr). There are also a few sweet wines including a Port that went well with our cheese plate and was comped by the house for spilling Champagne on us earlier. You're not getting the Michelin starred experience of Texture but this strangely named place is more casual and the space is nice if some of the staff might be less experienced. I would consider returning, my wife not as much.

visited this restaurant couple of times while I was in London. This is cute little Icelantic restaurant with great seafood and wine. I liked their Cod so much that I ordered it again when I went there second time. Highly recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyI think this is a very good restaurant.
I have been here a few times and the food has been outstanding as well as the service, not to mention the wine, which I believe is their speciality. Today I check on Yelp if it was open. And indeed it showed it was. To my surprise when I got there it was closed. I don't know who will take the credit for this, Yelp or the restaurant? But the truth is I lost a lot of time of my Sunday.

I went here a few years ago with my mom and it left us with an amazing long lasting impression. So much so on another trip back to London the other week I had to go. Best way to try various wines and delicious food. Impeccable.

Owned by the same lovely people who own texture, so it's definitely worth your time and money! They also have some cool workshops and tastings.

We went last minute for new year's eve and tried their three course menu for the night with canapés and a glass of champagne. Overall it was good but it started off amazing and declined throughout the courses. The scallops appetizer was cooked perfectly but the medium steak I ordered for the main was well over and quite chewy. The coconut creme brûlée for dessert was way too sweet and was only enjoyable for a few bites. The service was good but perhaps the food could be better for a nye special.

Interior was bright with a refined industrial feel. Service was excellent throughout. Main (Duck breast with cherry jus) was okay; the burrata to start and the chocolate madeleines were scrumptious though!
