It's Christmas Day and 75 Main was the only place open so we went. It was early 5:30 and it was not busy. They brought a basket of bread. One piece was moldy. We notified the manager and they apologized and offered us a free dessert. We ordered burgers - medium (pink inside) and they were cooked medium well so dry.The strawberry mule was very tasty but $20 which is a bit much. Overall we were disappointed and will not go back.
Be the first to ReplyWe thoroughly enjoyed our brunch this past Sunday.
We had the French Toast and burgers.

Pump, the brakes!!! If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. We attended this as our night out, "fancy dinner" for a lovely bachelorette party in the Hamptons and could not have been more dissatisfied. From the moment we walked in, with a reservation, somehow we were a burden to the staff, in a nearly empty restaurant. 10 of us were sat at a table and started to order drinks, preferably bottles of wine to go with our lovely dinner to come. We were told that there was a $50 corkage fee, per bottle, that we were purchasing from the restaurant. NEVER have I ever been to an establishment where I purchase wine from a bar and have to pay a corkage fee on top of that. With $50 per bottle (PER bottle!!!) and a lower end bottle of white at $60 per bottle we easily paid $220 for just opening two bottles of wine. We ordered appetizers. They accidentally brought out an order of guacamole and then instantly took it away and re-served it to the table next to us, who it originally belonged to- in my experience as a server, this would never happen! Finally our meals were lack luster. To pay $25+ for a pasta dish, I expect the sauce, pasta and sides to be above average. Chicken was rubbery and sauces were watery. Overall, extremely disappointed in what we thought would be a memorable evening. It was memorable alright, but not in the way we had hoped. Felt extremely ripped off, especially with this "corkage" fee that added an immediate $100 on to the tab. Unsure why anyone would ever dine here.

My mother loves this place( or at least she used to) so we went for a drink before heading to east Hampton for an event. While I have no problem paying for a well constructed beverage, the first mango margarita I had was really just bad, the combination of their mezcal and generic mango purée was gross, and I imagine if someone was taking pride in making the drink, it could have been good, but that was not the case. I kindly asked to try the spicy poblano margarita instead, again poorly made, tasted like simple syrup and jalapeño, no citrus or sour mix, and no poblano, just jalapeño. I can deal with a bad cocktail, but for the prices, definitely not worth, will not be returning, plenty of great local spots in south Hampton that are worth the price tag.

i came here and got stung by a bee! I haven't been stung by a bee since I was in elementary school? Maybe figure out your bee problem before allowing people to eat outside?
Be the first to ReplyDo not go to this restaurant if you are 1.
allergic to bees 2. want to bring your dog or 3. expect to be treated well. My friends and I went to 75 Main for brunch on Labor Day, expecting not to be stung by bees and thinking it was a dog-friendly restaurant, as it claimed. We were wrong. First, bees swarmed our table, and no one did anything despite the fact my friend is deathly allergic. When we complained a third time, the owner said we could "eat at the bar" despite our reservations. We tried to sit at the bar, but they said "No," and moved us to the back of the bar ... near the fruit where the bees were flocking. Then my friend's dog barked twice at a baby wailing because he was nervous. Again, other dogs were in this restaurant. The owner rudely told my friend she couldn't be in the restaurant because the dog barked. I said that was not ok and asked to bag our food, and we left. So, do not go here if you want to be treated well or not stung by bees. To be honest, the food was "meh," and the atmosphere reeked of arrogance and judgment mixed with an interior that looked like a dilapidated tennis club from the Mad Men era. The owner retorts back to any criticism with aggression and can only be bothered to post on his Instagram about celebrities he probably pays to eat at his restaurant instead of making changes to have an inclusive place to eat.
Be the first to ReplyBad dining experience.
Three of us had a reservation and we had our dogs with us, expecting to sit outside. There was a mass of bees surrounding the outdoor tables. A member of our party is allergic and we asked to be moved, and the manager on duty told us to move inside to the bar (even though we had reservations for a table), saying "the dogs are fine!". We try to take 3 seats at the bar, and another staff member makes us move to another section of the bar, next to the chopped fruit and.... More bees. We are frantically trying to sit down with our dogs and people are serving us our food impatiently. We finally sit down, having to ask for silverware. One of the dogs lets out 3 small barks (there was a crying baby being pushed around in a stroller, he noticed and was concerned). The manager then comes over and says "sorry, you can't sit inside if the dogs are going to bark." Mind you, the restaurant was indoor/outdoor with large open windows, many dogs barking outside. We then asked to just have our food wrapped up because they clearly could not accommodate us. We were visibly upset, and nothing was done.We ate our food outside on the sidewalk. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Between that and the unwelcoming environment, Wouldn't recommend, ESPECIALLY if you are looking for a welcoming place for your dogs.
Be the first to ReplyDo not recommend.
We were sat in the front by the windows and there were bees swarming our table. The restaurant was about half empty so I asked if we could move towards the back away from the bees. The hostess was very rude and said "once we seat you, you cant move". We had been sitting for less than 2 minutes, and the restaurant had plenty of open tables. My 2 year old was then stung by a bee on her leg, and only after that did they move us to a different table. To top it all off, the food wasn't even good. I wont ever go back.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is embarassingly bad.
The food is very clearly ordered in premade and frozen but you'll pay $30+ for something you could get defrost yourself. The "caramelized Brussel sprouts" were cold in the middle and the "truffle" pasta had no salt or flavor at all. The "truffle shavings" crumbled into dust and were pretty much just decorative. Who doesn't bother to salt pasta?I might not have given it one star if the vibe were also not SO SLEAZY. The decor theme is sexy women. The DJ was blasting ear-shattering remixes of...Simon and Garfunkel? Why? Who asked for this? We asked to be seated outside in the large empty courtyard and a table of 12 was crammed in behind us back to back with our chairs. Maybe offer to scoot us over literally anywhere so I'm not in the middle of someone else's dinner? We got home and had pizza. Do not go here!

This is my neighborhood go-to with cuisine that has been consistent in quality & evolution as a longterm & popular Southampton eatery & social hub. Zac (owner) & Iona (mgr) have been gracious hosts throughout my yrs of patronage as a year round resident. I have selected 75 Main for many social rendez-vous as well as business meetings. Discreet & lively at the same time.It is my opinion, that it is exceptional for a very popular venue in Hamptons, to treat their year- round patrons well enough to give the best tables in high season w/a discounted catering menu, which in my case was for a memorial for my mother who had passed away in a busy summer month which is outstanding for a resort town. I will never forgot it! Highest marks all around & thanks .

Be the first to Reply75 Main continues to prove that restaurants can persist
75 Main continues to prove that restaurants can persist with poor food. After a bad lobster roll this past summer I ordered a fish sandwich today. The server said it was mahi-mahi and I asked if it was fresh: "yes" she said. It was not fresh. Was a sliver of burnt, days old fish. The omelette wasn't good either. Burger was okay. Avoid.
Be the first to Reply75 Main is always consistent.
Not spectacular food, but more than good enough. A popular spot that could easily dial it in, but they don't. Recommended for a good place to visit in the village.
Be the first to ReplyMy experience at this establishment I would never wish upon
My experience at this establishment I would never wish upon even my worst enemies. First off, I must say the food was very good. It ends there. However, not only was our waitress completely aloof and disinterested in catering to us at our table, but also simply was not knowledgeable about any imperative health and dietary specifics on the cocktail and food menu that our party required. After this dissatisfying experience you would expect our encounter with this restaurant to end there. No. It did not. A member of our party with an aforementioned dietary restriction posted a review here on Yelp voicing his disappointment with the service immediately after our dinner. Less than 4 hours after his post, at a different club in Southampton, I personally was recognized, cornered, and VERBALLY ASSAULTED by the bartender from 75 Main for over 15 minutes. Berating me and my friends for our reviews as "tarnishing" his wages and slandering us as "entitled trust fund brats" who have "zero respect for the service industry" when we literally all work and/or have worked in the service industry as well. Now, I will say that 2 out of 6 of us in the party were half an hour late to the reservation due to a FAMILY EMERGENCY that I personally had. So, going to dinner, having a rude and incompetent waitress, and then being STALKED AND CORNERED by a staff member at A DIFFERENT ESTABLISHMENT LATER IN THE SAME NIGHT, who was fruitlessly tearing my friends and me down as an attempt to make themselves feel justified for their absolutely putrid service, was not only unsettling, but an authentically questionable moment of anyone's sanity in this world.

I decided to come here against a recommendation from someone not to go as it wasn't their favorite place. However, I was hungry and since I was pimpin a Lambo for a weekend in the Hamptons, and desired outdoor seating as well as a parking spot in front of the venue so I could admire car and admire others admiring the car as well, I opted for this place.I was greeted by the host who was a tall gay gentleman, to throw political correctness out the window. At first he said they didn't take reservations for outdoor seating, but when I told him I was by myself, he goes oh no problem then! So I was seated outside and opted for the all-too-conventional steak, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Sure it was pricey but likely around market considering the area.My reasons for the 5 star rating were the courtesy of the host to accommodate me, and how hardworking the staff was. I noticed them, as well as the host, running around non-stop trying to accommodate everyone all while keeping composed. It really made me appreciate how demanding their jobs were and how they had to be on their game while maintain even temperament. So, kudos to the staff and especially to the kind host who was willing to accommodate my desire for outdoor seating. I also found my meal to be tasty and filling. Props!

have been to 75 main a couple of times now- girls brunch and dinner... though the food is pretty good the service leaves a lot to be desired. For the cost, there should be some basic hospitality. The staff is certainly not rude, just not trained
Be the first to ReplyI wouldn't recommend this restaurant after trying it twice.
Honestly I don't know why it appears to be a "hot spot" in Southampton because it has metiocre food with a pouting wait staff that wouldn't know a smile if it hit them. Let me explain:The first time I came to this restaurant was on Memorial Day. I sat with 3 others and one of our plates had a piece of plastic in it. In all fairness our waitress on this day was sweet as was the manager who felt bad about our experience and comped us free dessert and drinks. Still, plastic in our food!? I thought this was supposed to be the "bougie" Hamptons!Second time I patronized this restaurant was last week. We sat outside and had an extremely stand-offish waitress, with a personality more stale than bad bread. She appeared disinterested in serving us and a little smile and enthusiasm for her job would have been nice. She was like this with every table she served except for Ramona Singer (you know the b-list Bravo celebrity) a table to the left of us. Their iced coffee was also unlike anything else I've ever had and I mean that in a bad way. Simply put it had terrible sour flavor and was watery! It had me wishing I had Starbucks and I am NOT a Starbucks drinker. My recommendation is if you want mediocre food, with a surprise piece of plastic at the bottom of some plates (like the prize in a cereal box) and waitresses who appear half dead with no passion for their jobs, I recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyI will never go back to this establishment.
I had the worst service and The worst meal of my life. I waited 20 minutes for a manager and was then told there was no manager there... on a Saturday in the middle of summer. A disgrace. The food was disgusting and I am just overall disgusted with the whole experience. Highly do not recommend.
