Find a better place
Seriously the worst experience ever. We were here as a group of girls-get together. We sat down, around 6 pm, not busy in the restaurant at all, ordered drinks, and the server disappeared. In about 20 min we asked him where are the drinks, he went to check, said not ready yet, oh. Another 10 min and I got my wine. He then proceeded to take the orders. I ordered 2 items from the sushi menu. We were chatting with girls so we didn't notice how the time passed but in an hour we started wondering where the food it. We called a server and he said the food is coming shortly. ok. So the food starts coming out and we see that only some girls got the food. We ask the server where is the rest and he says - oh, I coursed it, so whoever got 2 items got one one the items first as an appetizer and then the rest will come out as a meal. We said we didn't ask for it. He insisted one of the girls said it about her order so he coursed it for everyone. Somehow he decided that from my 2 sushi orders one will be appetizer and one main. I said I need my meal to come out together. He said he cannot do anything about it and left. We waited another 30 minutes. the food was still not there. I called the manager, explained him the situation and asked how come the sushi takes like 2 hours to make, I have never seen that in any restaurant. He arrogantly replied - but did you dine before in a Michelin restaurant? I didn't know that you wait for food for that long at Michelin restaurants.... So he left too, and in another 30 minutes we finally got our sushi, everyone's mood was ruined, we were tired and hungry and wanted to leave. When we asked for a check they included automatic gratuity of 22% or 24%. Seriously? After the service they provided, super rude manager and the gratuity on top of that? Definitely not recommending this place. You can find smth more affordable, better tasting and better service!

Let me start with the food. It is excellent. But the dining experience is ruined by the noise level. The decor and ambience are deafening. The acoustics so bad that you could hear every word the waiter on the other side of the room said to his table. He was loud and performative, and it hurt the ears of everyone in the room. Normal voices became ear drum splitting and conversation was nearly impossible. The place may be full now, but I suspect the clientele will decline as people will not return for more torture. My advice to the owners is to close after the season and redecorate with noise baffling panels on the walls and ceiling. The wait staff will likely suffer long term hearing loss working in this place!

Superb sushi, adorable hot dishes great decor, cool crowd. We had the chicken and the seabass. The signature sushi rolls and the cold appetizers are also so tasty. The dessert was another highlight.

it was our 4th time back at this restaurant , unfortunately , it was extremely disappointing!! we decided to indulge in sushi nigiris , and apart from the sea ursin , the rice was poorly cooked , unflavored and 1/3 of the size as previously eaten there!! the toro was cut paper sin , the sea bream was badly sliced too , it really seemed who ever prepared this meal was no sushi chef !! when you spend $600 for 4 people , you can expect extreme quality , we are sorry , since we thought we had found the best sushi around , but it is not so!! they seem too much into volume than quality , but for this type of food , it should the other way around. won't be back

Akiri Back brings an upscale experience to Delray's many ho-hum places. Our food and service were great. In fact, I have to say that my sushi was some of the best that I have had, but I think that spending over $300 would have at least merited a hot towel with which to wash my hands before diving into my sushi. After, using chopsticks to eat one's nigiri is simply bad form. I won't hurry back though. The place was unpleasantly deafening; I wanted dinner, not a clubbing experience. It's my hope to not spending money on hearing aids when I'm older.

Definitely should be on your to do list if you are anywhere within driving distance of Delray! A NOT to miss dining experience!! Kudos to Chef Akira Back for brining this delicious gem to Delray Beach๐ฅณ This was one of my favorite restaurants while staying at The Ray Hotel! most knowledgeable and quite possibly the best service I have ever had by Kyle! His recommendations were exactly what you must try when first visiting and if youโve been there before let him know and definitely let him guide you, guaranteed you will not be disappointed! To the management team spectacular job! From start to finish it was flawlessly executed! Bravo!

Wow! One of the finest dining experiences Iโve ever had. We did mostly cold offerings and each thing was better than the next. Donโt miss the tuna pizza! Our server, Kyle did an outstanding job and guided us through the menu with expert advice. I recommend listening to Kyleโs suggestions. Canโt wait to come back.

We decided to try this restaurant on a whim. The food was well prepared and presented nicely. Nice balanced flavors with umami flavors layered with sweetness and citrus. Nice balance of texture and colour as well. Quite enjoyable. Reasonably balanced wine list.

The food was absolutely amazing. This is a must try when in Delray Beach the staff was amazing and the manager Matthew.Moll was extremely attentive to every one of our needs โฆ.this was on the top of my list and exceeded every expectation
