The restaurant was selected because it is one of the few steakhouses that offer prime rib. A birthday dinner started out well, push the buzzer to have a panel in the door open to gain entry. Cute. Very small, but attractive place. Roomy comfortable booth. Offered sparkling and plain water. Very expensive creative drinks available. It was recommended that we split an appetizer, but we didn't - thankfully. The portion of Caesar salad was fine for one, but too small to split. Very pricy at $15. Unusual approach with large leaves you need to cut with a knife (prefer it torn before serving), prepared with panko bread crumbs and small bits of cheese. Taste was good, but prefer the original approach. We ordered the mashed potatoes, which were extremely smooth and tasty, but again, a much smaller serving than expected. The big disappointment was the prime rib. I had better meat at Boston Market. The large cut of meat was served in a deep dish filled with au jus (although it didn't have much flavor). They describe the cooking process as slow roasting, but I think it was more like steaming. It didn't have the right texture, nor did it have much flavor. It was approximately the right color, although I had to get out my cell phone flashlight to tell because the restaurant was so dark I had no idea. I couldn't see to cut off the fatty portions of the meat. I was very disappointed and didn't eat much. I didn't complain, but the waitress noticed. She did provide a slice of their very tasty chocolate layer cake gratis. I can't comment on their other steaks, just don't buy the prime rib and expect to pay $$$$ for small servings.
