This is the best place to stay in Jackson!
My wife and I just returned from our second trip to this location this year. We were hoping the excellent hotel and staff was not a fluke and guess what, it wasn't. Form the second we arrived to the moment we left, the staff here are the best around. Everything about this place is top notch and the staff is what makes this place 5-Stars. I am not sure about some of the negative reviews I've read but our experience was the opposite of theirs, even though we all stayed at the same place. Again, thank you so much to the Amangani staff, they are the best around and you are greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work and we will see you again. Charlie and Angelika

The service at this hotel is the highlight....well, along with the views! It's a beautiful, intimate property with only 40 rooms. The staff was exceptional, anticipating everything we could need. The rooms are stunning, but showing a little wear/age - e.g. good luck finding a plug near the vanity :) and none of our blinds would open; I just had to lift them out of the way. Lovely stay nonetheless - the views are amazing!
Be the first to ReplyService needs work for an Aman
We have stayed at another Aman and with that in mind, the experience here was not up to the level of service we expect or had in other locations. In order to highlight the areas that can be addressed, starting: Never saw or met the GM in the 6 nights we were here. Even though we had breakfast & lunch on the first day, when we returned to our room, it still had not been made up, and this was by 3PM at least. I spoke with the concierge about it, and the response was: "just ask & it will be made up". So, from then on we told them each time when it needed to be done & also for our turndown service...which shouldn't be necessary for a premier hotel. Our patio was never swept off for our entire stay. In the restaurant, the food is very good, but the menu didn't change the entire time of our stay. Luckily we had planned to go into Jackson for some of our dinners, otherwise the dinner selection was too limited for us. The chairs in the restaurant are heavy & it would be nice if the staff would help seat us. Also, at times the sun was beaming through & I had to ask that they lower the blinds. This should just be normally done by the staff. When I was trying to go through the TV channels, I asked the concierge for a listing of the channels. What they gave me, I soon realized was not accurate. So they sent a person to help, and the outcome was they had changed their supplier. He told me he would get back to me the next day...he never did. So they changed service to a more reduced channel selection & did away with HBO channels. The day we arrived we asked about hiking trails, and the concierge gave us a map & pointed out the "Trails" but after trying to find them...it turned out they were horse trails(muddy and very narrow), not hiking trails! When I went back the concierge she said yes, horse trails. On our tours full day tour, we had lunches for the day. We had requested cookies...they were not included. When we finally did taste the cookies (at $4/each), they were not good. We had ordered yogurt but no spoons were provided. We had scheduled 1/2 day tours of Grand Teton and for fly fishing. They were excellent and the full day for Yellowstone was truly excellent. We saw so much wildlife from Bison, Elk, bear, Pronghorn, & moose. We didn't see wolves or grizzlies. Luckily we rented a car, because going into Jackson was $45 each way. I would have thought they would provide courtesy cars...nope. Our last day we drove to "hidden falls" and our earlier tour guide suggested that we take bear spray & to ask at the desk. So we did get the bear spray and hiking poles, but it hadn't been suggested by the concierge. Over all, it was a beautiful experience, but is seems that Amangari needs some management oversight/training in the areas mentioned, especially for the rates we were charged.
Be the first to ReplyNo longer consistent with the brand "Aman".
This was my third visit to the Amangani but both prior visits were more than ten years ago. The views and rooms are still lovely, but the maintenance and staff are not commensurate with the Aman brand. The concierge had a lot of difficulty planning our activities and restaurant reservations and showed no initiative in trying to plan a multi day stay. Throughout the property there is little attention to maintenance. There are badly broken tiles in the hot tub, the outdoor patios are badly worn (see picture). The walls and nice wood interiors are often dented and worn. The staff ratios are not close to what they should be. Never more than one person at the pool and sometimes even that one person was hard to find. The spa locker rooms were not picked up regularly and there were often dirty towels and robes on the floor. The food was reasonably good but the wait staff were mostly new and the food orders often came out wrong. This feels like a place harvesting the reputation of "Aman" but only going through the motions of delivering. The Amangiri in Utah is a much better run hotel and Aman's internationally are in a completely different league.
Be the first to ReplyNo air conditioning, mediocre service and needs a redo
We stayed at the Amangari in Utah earlier this year and it was one of the most spectacular hotels we’ve stayed at—-incredible facility, rooms and service. We had high expectations coming to the Amangani especially since room prices are 2-3x the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole where we’ve stayed before (and thought service was excellent and hotel, though larger, was also very good). Start with the fact that the Amangani has no air conditioning. For $1800 per night. Temperatures in the summer are in the 80’s/90’s each day. The hotel was built in 1998 and it’s clear there have been no renovations or upgrades since. Floor tile is spotted, carpets have stains. In addition, the service is mediocre at best. We requested fans for our room and it took 4 requests to get them. If you show up at the pool—you are made to feel like you’re inconveniencing the very limited staff to set you up. We also found breakfast to be very mediocre—better off going into town for a better meal. In short—when you’re paying rates this high, you expect exceptional everything. This is not just not worth the cost but I’d say is far below 5 star standards on cleanliness, facility and service.

We just had the best time at the Amangani in Jackson. The room was clean and well equipped, food was great, and the staff were over the top! We'd especially like to thank Toni for planning all our activities and making our experience over the top. Alana did a great job both at the front desk and at our fitness training sessions. We will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyEndless mountain view and relaxing retreat from the crowd
Beautiful, peaceful property on 7000 feet above sea level. It was worth it to just stay here to soak in the outdoor hot tub and take in the view. It was hailing when we used the pool and yet we were perfectly comfortable. We only stayed for a night during our yellowstone roadtrip. Our stay was wonderful especially immediately coming from camping. The hotel was fully booked, so no upgrade from Amex, but we never feel crowded and never see more than 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. The service and food in restaurant is good, and they never ask you to sign anything for the bill. There is a steam room in the spa locker room that opens 24 hours, pool is opened all hours too. For the room, there is only king size bed, they were able to split the bed into two twins with a tiny gap in between it. We also added a rollaway bed with extra hundred bucks. So, this is not exactly ideal when traveling with kids.
Be the first to ReplyNice but disappointing
We live locally and spent one night, our wedding anniversary. Facility is spectacular, but very dated. Needs a facelift. Staff very friendly, kind and considerate. Small touches has been removed by bean counters. No warm complimentary nuts with drinks, fake cream in the coffee bar, Pistachios in plastic packaging, $1,600 a nite with weeds in the patio. Russian ownership is distant and uninterested . It’s very sad to see the great brand Aman deteriorate. Stay in a Peninsula forget Aman

We came to Jackson Hole for my son's birthday. The hotel we originally checked into was not what we expected so I called the Amangani for availability to switch hotels. I was fortunate to have Yuko Brookover answer the telephone; she immediately heard my plight and made all the arrangements for us to come to the Amangani the following day. Once my son and I got to the hotel, she and her amazing staff greeted us, and then Yuko showed us our beautiful room, explaining how everything worked inside the room from the automatic drapes to the remote controlled fireplace. She even arranged to have the King bed separated out to two twin mattresses. We stayed during March 2022 so The view from our over-sized balcony was breathtaking, showcasing the snow-capped Teton mountains! My son and I used the heated pool and played backgammon in the library. I enjoy working out in the early morning hours before the sun rises, and the gym was perfect. I also want to comment on the coffee bar that is available from 5:00 a.m. to the afternoon...EXCELLENT! And finally, Chelsea, manager in Food in Beverage was present in the dining room serving us alongside of the excellent wait staff. If you want a quiet, classy, relaxful property that boasts tremendous views, this resort is for you.
Be the first to ReplyVery Good Stay
First time staying at an Aman hotel, and this will be the first of many. Hotel is definitely not cheap (rooms, food, excursions), but it's a great experience. - Incredible views - Very nice rooms - Spa is very good - Service is good, but not great (wasn't helpful with covid testing, but otherwise no complaints) - Very solid food (but the menu is a bit restrictive, and the dessert isn't great) - Hotel Add-ons (excursions, transportation etc) are overly expensive - Not much to do at the hotel property
