Au Pied de Cochon Paris Reviews from The Last Year
An OG 24/7 Paris staple that everyone, locals and tourists
An OG 24/7 Paris staple that everyone, locals and tourists alike must visit! The service is excellent and the food is even better! The pictures speak for themselves. We made a reservation for 16 and were seated upstairs and were well taken care of! A++++
This was hands down the best place I ate while in Paris.
Our servers were soooo nice, and were very respectful to us and happy. One of them even gave us little pig meringues at the end! Also it is very short walk to the louvre, so perfect if you need a place to eat before hand. We sat in a charming outdoor table with our party of 6. It was not too loud or busy. The bathrooms were elegant, and indoor dining looked great. You have to try this incredible restaurant!!
Great ambience, but mixed on the food.
Definitely a tourist-y spot, but enough French speaking customers as well. The French onion soup was good, but I was disappointed in the oyster sampler (we had to release them from the shell ourselves) and the pork croquettes were unremarkable.
Very standard food.
Do not recommend people coming here for trying French food. The waiter is also a bit rude.
I never send food back.
Onion soup awful, water! Chicken dried out tastless. Pass... also they need to attend to their toilets
I of course knew this address. Recommended +++
We went there for my father's birthday to celebrate his 90th birthday. Succulent meal. Attentive service. Very varied choice of dishes. There is something for every taste.
Good establishment but some gags in the service
A few gags: the little pot of welcome aperitif rillettes arrived too late, we had finished the starter, the basket of bread left was all sticky and sticky on the edge, and I received splinters on my jacket, I had to ask for wipes, to clean everything, and service too slow, and above all no commercial gesture made for example in particular the coffees offered to make us forget this incident, some tables of 2 people had several small meringues with the coffee, only 2 of us In short, not even the minimum to make up for their blunders
It's an Anthony Bordain recommendation but with all due
It's an Anthony Bordain recommendation but with all due respect I was not impressed. The food ok but I not raving about it. The ambiance is busy of a typical IG / Yelp restaurant.
The tradition
The reception is quick if you come early. From 7:30 p.m., a little longer wait. The room is a bit kitsch and the tables are very crowded. It's hard not to hear what the neighbors are saying. The cuisine is good, very traditional in accordance with the type of establishment. The salmon tartare was very fresh and served quickly. But less diced cucumber would have improved the taste.
Disappointing
The manager or head waiter with the tie is very unpleasant, he allows himself to judge the cooking of the meat, to speak very poorly to our table neighbors, frankly we love this place, but a change of direction is necessary. I also work nights, that's no reason to be unpleasant, especially in a service profession. The tartare was good.
In the heart of Paris
I really liked this historic restaurant in Paris where tradition and Parisian charm meet perfectly... congratulations for the service despite the place being full! I recommend seafood crudités! Congratulations ❤️
An upgrade is necessary
A disastrous meal from A to Z. It starts at the entrance with an icy reception bordering on impolite, restaurant half full but the chef with a tie has to “manage his tables” so we wait. The dishes are served quickly but are.;; cold, including fries, pat elsewhere filthy. Stale bread, a forming plate made up of a slice of brie and two pieces of Comté cheese for a little variety. Dirty toilets, and a general atmosphere of carelessness. We are fleeing the establishment that we loved so much while waiting for it to be taken over
Dream crusher
Mediocre. It has been a long time I've wanted to try this brasserie. A "je ne sais quoi" image of the typical french bistrot. My dreams and expectations were crushed by the reality of a mediocre meal. Some of the starters are fine. For the main dishes were mostly disappointing. Service uneven with some nice and friendly staff and some staff bored and used to mass turnover that gives average to bad service. In conclusion don't waste your time and money.
What a meal
What a magnificent place an exceptional meal a perfect butler and an extraordinary meal The price is really in line with what we ate. Please go ahead
Disappointing
Sad very sad a terrible reception they know that they work every day without effort This establishment is not worth working for
A must when you're in Paris! Wonderful, funny, and warm
A must when you're in Paris! Wonderful, funny, and warm waiters, excellent food, and energetic vibe. Ate there on our last night in Paris and so glad we did. Excellent value.
We had a very reasonable dinner here.
We weren't that adventurous, the kids had the fish and chips and "steak". The steak was really just a hamburger but they liked it. The vegetable platter was good and the pork tenderloin was very good. The duck fois gras was good as well. Overall I would say this was good but by no means great. A solid three stars.
We were extremely jet lagged and woke up at 3am, hungry.
Most places were closed but the Uber arrived within 2 minutes and took us to this restaurant we found on Yelp. This place is very popular. When we arrived we were told by security that they were filming, when I realized that wasn't true we stuck around. We were eventually let in along with another group who was also waiting outside after a few crowds left. We decided to order the seafood platter since I usually order it if it's on a menu. The seafood platter didn't taste fresh at all. The French onion soup was delicious and so was their Suzette sundae.
Unclean restroom - my wife went and there was a shared
Unclean restroom - my wife went and there was a shared towel - some lady blew her nose on it. We were given a table that required moving at an angle to leave/get up. It was uncomfortable. We asked for a different table and they were busy but there were spaces. We were polite but the treatment was unprofessional.
I have always gone to the one in Montreal with the same
I have always gone to the one in Montreal with the same name, must try the original. Without reservation there's a wait depends on the time of the year and the wait time will change. I got the seafood platter and it was divine!! The onion soup is a large portion base on the French portion. Food was awesome and it is good to see local Parisiens come here with friends as well. It is definitely worth a stop if you are in Chatelet area.
First bucket list restaurant in Paris, frequented by
First bucket list restaurant in Paris, frequented by Anthony Bourdain. It's a traditional French bistro with indoor and outdoor seating. It's very quaint, but popular and busy. The service was excellent with several people assisting. I had to order the restaurant namesake and also Bourdain's favorite, the grilled pork trotters. I had never eaten pig's feet this way before, but it was delicious and very filling. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Paris.
I have a soft spot for this place.
Love their creme brûlée. Love the location. And that magical Pork spread they give you with the bread!
Looking for a lunch spot and stumbled across this cute
Looking for a lunch spot and stumbled across this cute restaurant on the way back from the louve. We didn't have reservations but got a seat right away. Service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Pork centric dishes are definitely the way to go as that's their specialty.

I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

You should probably cancel prior to the cancellation date per the cancellation policy. I would imagine you would only get reimbursed for a sold listing if you happen to be charged?

My first sale took about a week. But as the other commenter said stay ontop of your cancellation windows. There’s no reimbursement for those so make sure you cancel in time then just try again.
