A hidden gem on the Strip.
Sure, you can go to the trendy casino spots. Bella is a restaurant that you would find in NYC, SF, or LA. The Pork was the highlight. Great service and amazing food.

I had been so busy that I did not have time to input this review. Several weeks ago I went to LV with my daughter for a gymnastics competition. To celebrate her accomplishment that day we decided we wanted steak but last minute in Vegas, it was hard to find a restaurant without reservations. I happened to Google a newer restaurant inside Sahara that had handmade pasta and a few steak choices. We didn't have too high expectations at first as it was walk-in available and they did not have much in terms of ratings yet or known for a steak restaurant. We gave it a try and immediately we loved the atmosphere and ambience. It is more of an open air environment but the decor was upscale and pleasing. We ordered the NY Strip and homemade Spaghetti Bolognese. Before we get to the food, our Hostess Ashley was so welcoming and customer service oriented. She made us feel like regular customers right away and had a genuine welcoming attitude. I guess since they are not yet well known it was not too busy but we did get there late around 9pm. A gentleman named James brought out our food and was very descriptive and courteous in presenting our food, giving us some insight about how it was prepared. Some people may not care, but I felt it was a nice touch. To start, both my daughter and I shared the Spaghetti Bolognese, it was flavorful with lots of chunks of meat. The pasta was fantastic as you can tell it was not from the box, perfect texture. The main course was the NY Steak, aged well, it was juicy and flavorful and cooked perfectly to my liking of medium rare, more pink. The broccolini was also very crisp and flavorful, not mushy. To top it off, they offered free Gelato to my daughter for winning her competition. That was nice.Ashley and the wait staff were very accommodating, checking on us occasionally and even other staff would be attentive, even though we were not their table. Overall we did have a very enjoyable time and the food was great. Too bad we did not have a microwave in our hotel room or we would have taken some of the leftover bolognese back. We did take a to-go order for my son, who was back in the room under the weather. He has food allergies and thus usually eats plain pasta/light oil with some meat and veggies. The Chef was nice enough to spruce up the pasta for him with lemon but it was a bit too sour for him. He did really like the Pasta but not used to the lemon zest. I shared my experience with the wife and rest of the family and definitely will return the next time we are in Vegas.Too bad we were so hungry that we didn't get a chance to take pictures of the food. Next time!

I came here on a Thursday with two of my friends , just on a whim. I am so glad I did ! The food is phenomenal !! We started off having a drink at the bar, I think our bartender name was Liz and she was so sweet and so friendly , I wasn't sure what drink I wanted , so she made me a beautiful social media worthy pic, it was a beautiful drink and tasted delicious !! I have pictures below of what we ordered and everything was 10/10 !! I recommend!! The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and not too loud !! Our server was great and the food runner comes and explains every dish perfectly!! Chef Pedro even came out to make sure our food came out alright ! The food, the service , the ambiance is all amazing!

We ate at the bar and enjoyed watching the friendly and skilled bartenders work. The ceasar salad is amazing as was the Rigatoni and the other pasta I don't know how to say or spell.

Came to dine in to catch up with a good friend and we both enjoyed everything. As described by our waitress, our food was very fresh and delicious. If you enjoy some spice, I recommend the Casarecce pasta dish. Our waitress Dominique went above and beyond to make sure our experience was lovely. Whether it is a date night or just something casual, I recommend coming to eat here.

Found this restaurant on Yelp that was in our hotel and the reviews seemed good. The ambiance is very cute and romantic. It was great for my husband and I. Our waitress Dominique was wonderful. She was very attentive and took really good care of us.Now for the food...We order the Tasting $75 and added the wine pairing for $40.Focaccia - Homemade 10/10Caesar Salad - Had anchovies on top to give that extra hmph 10/10Octopus - I loveeee Octopus...didn't really care for the heirloom beans in it but nonetheless it was good. 9/10Cavatelli & Casarecce - Both homemade pastas that have a very authentic taste 10/10Lasagna (added on for $32 more) - My least fav. It was too dry. Needed more cheese and sauce. Could of saved $32. 4/10Sea Bream - Very delicious and very fresh. Super light. One of my favs. 10/10Veal Milanese - Not really a fan of breaded food. 4/10Sides - Potatoes and Broccolini was 10/10Wine Pairing - All the wines were good. Also a sommelier come to explain the taste of each wine.I'd recommend adding on the wine pairing if you get the tasting menu option. Also, it's a lot of food and it's family style.

She made our night!! I didn't even have a chance to take photos of our food, it was delicious. Definitely recommend visiting Balla Italian Soul!

Food - good, not great. Really depends on what you get. DON'T GET THE CEASER SALAD. Spaghetti was great and the focaccia was so good! Burrata was good but I've had better. Service - not the best. Waiter was nice but a bit slow. Manager was INCREDIBLY rude. He brought the wrong drink and when he was taking it away we said if they are just going to throw it away he can leave it (in a fun joking manner) he awkwardly and rudely said, "I can put it on the table but I WILL CHARGE you for it." Food runner was uncomfortable. Two pieces of bread for three people and we ask him if we could have another piece and he responded very aggressively... "I guess I can ask." They also charged us for bread (that we ordered so that's fine) and then a $7 "bread service"... no idea what that was. Ambiance - pretty restaurant. No one was there. Dead and a bit awkward.

All of the dishes are excellent. The roasted chicken is outstanding. Best I've had in a long time. The chicken was raised like before farming methods changed, and is seasoned to perfection. The spaghetti bolognese is outstanding. Service is always very good. Jim M

We ended up in Vegas for the weekend, and we were feeling Italian for dinner. Thankfully and conveniently, Balla was just down the road. The family style set menu is excellent; it's all of the items we wanted to try off the menu anyway. The focaccia that came with the meal was literally the best I've ever had. The burrata and octopus appetizers were delicious. The lamb in the cavatelli was so tender, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. But the Sea Bream and the Veal Milanese were what truly made the meal one of the best I've ever had. I only wish we had enough of an appetite to try the steak as well.Highly, highly, highly recommended, especially with prices that are downright reasonable for the Strip.

I went to Balla the first time on 2/20 for a solo 8pm reservation. The hostess mentioned happy birthday from reading the notes. I had great service and good food. I waited until the end for the server to mention my birthday or bring out dessert. Went through the entire dinner without any acknowledgement. I asked the hostess later as I was leaving if the restaurant does anything for birthdays and she said they usually do. I waited to see if she would do anything and she just apologized. And that was it. A bit disappointed. I would have gone somewhere else if that was the case. I stay at this hotel very often and will keep on the consideration list, but would never recommend anyone celebrating anything to do it here.

Yelp Review 2023 #100:For my 100th review this year, I went to Balla Italian Soul. James Beard award winner Chef McClain is at it again with his fantastic take on Italian food. I've been to Five50 Pizza Bar, and Sage and had a great experience. Balla is located inside Sahara Hotel. The menu is simple. A page for food, a page for drinks, and a dessert menu. The dishes are simple: antipasti, Roman-style pizzas, pasta, steak, fish, chicken, pork, veal, and side dishes. They give you a basket of bread while you wait for your food. It's $5 extra if you want more bread. Tartufo: Truffle salami, confit potato, and shaved black truffle. The crust is thin and crunchy. The cheese was creamy with a nice umami flavor of truffle.Linguini:Crab, chilies, squash blossoms, and garlic. Such amazing flavors going on. The garlic brings out the spiciness of the chilies even more.Rigatoni: Red pepper, shrimp scampi, and toasted garlic. A little bit of heat. We had to order extra bread to soak up the sauce.Dark Chocolate Tart:Hazelnut crust, mascarpone, and drizzled with Nutella. This particular dessert was overhyped here on Yelp. Although it's quite good, you should maybe try a different one.It got crazy busy towards 8pm. We had to follow up on things. Our server tried. What really stood out was the excellent food expeditor who brought the food to every table and enthusiastically explained each dish with such passion and joy. Right person, right job! Bravo!
