I'm really shocked this place has so little reviews.
I took my husband here yesterday Saturday night for his birthday. It has been sooo long since we had good quality service like this. Granted the waitress was busy, but she was such a sweetheart. She smiled a lot and made us feel comfortable. The hostess was very kind too and helped out, which is rare because I don't usually see them do that. She knew about all the drinks and the menu, offered me the Buena Vista cocktail and I enjoyed it. The food was good! The seafood were all fresh. Oysters were delicious. And omg the pan con tomate. We tried this in Spain before and loved it! It was just as good here. The space was really small and I really didn't like the high bar tables, but hey Bar Crudo right? Give this place a try!
Be the first to ReplyWent on a Tuesday evening around 6p.
Decent Happy Hour menu. Only one bartender for the evening but he was on point! We had the oysters from the happy hour menu as well as the fried fish and chips and the fiedua with lobster. Both pretty tasty. Huge portions. Fantastic service. Will definitely return to try more items.
Be the first to ReplyService super friendly.
Food delicious. We'll definitely be back for another Happy Hour. Dinner prices are a bit high -- it is seafood, after all, so I suppose that's expected -- so not sure we'll leap into that. Note: Happy Hour is on the louder sids between the chatter and the music. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming.

You definitely should make reservations especially on the weekend. The place is very small. They originally wanted to seat us by the door but it was freezing out and we asked if we can sit somewhere else. They said they were booked but will try to work something out. We told them we were willing to wait. Luckily a table opened up towards the back. We were much happier there. Drinks-Caribeña (The special)Havana club, cognac ,bourbon , grilled banana and komquat, lemon , coriander, cocoa flower teaIt was $18. I don't mind paying the price however the glass was like a miniature wine glass. It was good but it wasn't worth the price due to the size of the drink.Appetizers Fried calamari- delicious!Scallops- very tasty but they only come with two pieces EntreesFried fish and chipsSeafood paella Everything was fresh and delicious. I would come back.
Be the first to ReplyI had a really great experience here.
Came for a quick bite and had a couple of drinks before we called it a night. Here's what we ordered:- the Duchess: Bombay Sapphire, Butterfly Pea Flower, Ume, Nutmeg, Cardamom Syrup, CocoRum, Salted Air- Whiskey on the rocks- Irish Point Oysters: a tender texture and sweet brine with a mineral finish- Mussels: Pernot, shallots, parsley broth, crusty bread- Fried Calamari: Corn meal crusted calamari, salsa criolla, epazote aioliEverything was excellent! The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing. I couldn't get over the salty air foam on my drink! Like, HOW?! The service was on point. We had a great server. When we were done with the mussels, the server brought us more bread to soak up the broth. How observant and thoughtful. It's the little things that make someone smile. Highly recommend.

I had to update my review to a 1 STAR and I will NEVER be going to Bar Crudo again - even for just oysters. I took my boyfriend and his family for his 30th birthday because of how much he loves oysters and I had faith in crudo and decided to give it another chance HORRIBLE MISTAKE!!!! The staff COMPLETELY ignored our table of 6 - not to mention they sat us by the door (a big party who will be paying a big check?!!??) and we all froze. To top it off - there was a hair wrapped around one of our guests lobster cabonara - GET THIS - they offered to replace the disgusting hairy meal with a new one - nice right? WRONG because THEY CHARGED US FOR THE MEAL!!!! And continued to IGNORE OUR TABLE! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS SPOT. SOOOOO NOT WORTH IT FOR MEDIOCRE HAIRY FOOD AND HORRIBLE SERVICE/ATTITUDE !!!
Be the first to ReplyWe went here for Valentine's Day dinner.
The place is small and narrow, I was thinking it will be bigger according to the pics. The girl who welcomed us was nice and sweet. We ordered drinks and patatas bravas as an appetizer . It was good. As a main dish my Bf got fish and chips and I got a Cod fish with a stew, stew was delicious , the fish was over fried and to dry for me.It was a nice experience

First of all the waiter is rude, we had reservations and my partner reached early she was having drink and the Bar attendant came asking you can't hold table, it was just 5 mins pass our reservation time slot. She was having drink so I feel that was rude. Second the drink which is special had nothing but block of ice. Ordered Lobster Carborana dish and pasta was under cooked, lobster also undercooked. The seafood pasta had shrimp over cooked. Not worth the price at all. I would be careful..staff need to be polite not all but I felt some had an attitude.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful oysters and friendly attentive service.
Loud music and some fried food that was oily cost it a star- but the oysters were worth it.

Came here for our anniversary, and everything was outstanding. We ate the Brazilian cheese bread, scallop ceviche, escargot, and grilled fish and chips. The latter two dishes were really standouts. The team also provided us with a glass of wine on the house in honor of our anniversary, a gesture that was very much appreciated. We'll be back, and soon!

I usually don't leave bad reviews but I ordered some stuff by Door Dash. The seafood pasta $34 and ceviche $18. Everything tasted great so I can't complain about that but the portion size for the ceviche is ridiculously small for $18. And the seafood pasta was pretty expensive considering there were only 2 clams in there and one of them was unopened. Plenty of mussels though. The oysters I have to say are very good.

We had an amazing time last Thursday celebrating my daughter's 16 birthday with mid week dinner. First Jessica ensured we had a top notch service - all the plates were changed between courses, table wiped from melted ice and was ensuring our dietary requests to exclude pork were met and so much more. Second the food was fantastic - fresh delicious oysters, absolutely out of this world escargot, steak and octopus so tender and yummy. Paella was a bit overdone for me, but everyone had a different ways of preparing it, we enjoyed it anyway. We had sangria and it was delicious as well. Definitely great for HH and drinks and for an amazing dinner for special occasion or something to enjoy.

Bar Crudo is defined by its seafood tavern atmosphere, friendly hospitality, and great seafood. I came by with a friend on Friday night and we were seated immediately for our reservation. It's pretty loud and crowded during peak dining hours but people start to trickle out around 8. Best bet is to come later in the night if you want to hear your conversation with your friends. My best friend and I ordered the Change in the Seasons cocktail, a Bar Crudo Margarita, and a Poseidon cocktail. For food we ordered a feast of raw oysters, escargot, duck confit toast, grilled oysters, gambas, raw octopus, and paella. The highlights were:- the duck confit toast which is topped with sweet bursts of flavor from the pomegranate seeds and savory from the cheese and duck.- the escargot which is so flavorful and buttery (ask them to provide you with a spoon to soak up that buttery goodness)- the grilled oysters with its contrast of textures provided from the nuts and that sweet and savory flavor combination- the paella which has a lot of seafood and is very flavorful. The mussels in the dish are very meaty and tender. The paella is more soup based (I think it's based on a paella variation from Catalan) and was an interesting variation on the paella I'm used to eating.- the poseidon cocktail is divine, complex, creamy and still refreshing. This is probably one of the best rum cocktails I've ever hadThe average:- The gambas were pretty good but they lacked the it factor- The raw oysters are good but not amazing- the raw octopus is decent but is strangely combined with a salsa verde (which imo tastes more like chimmichurri) The duds:- the Change of the Seasons and the Bar Crudo Margarita were rather disappointing, the Change of the Seasons was dominated by orange juice and the Bar Crudo Margarita was not my favorite mix (and I've had spiced tequila and mezcal that I've thoroughly enjoyed)The service was consistent throughout our visit and our servers were super personable and funny. We were helped by multiple servers and they were all very knowledgable about the menu and very passionate about the food they serve and just food in general. I would definitely come again to enjoy Bar Crudo's amazing hospitality, have some of their seafood, and enjoy their amazing Poseidon cocktail.

Great happy hour and service! Very friendly staff, good music, overall nice vibe. Couldn't ask for more!

Great seafood place! The shrimp appetizer was very good, the shrimp actually had a seafood-y taste. We ordered the paella with lobster. All of the seafood was cooked perfectly! Except the lobster was so tender it didn't have any texture. I thought the rice was too salty. The service was great, to the point where someone came to our table 6-7 times to refill our water which was unnecessary. Highly recommend the cucumber cocktail and change of seasons cocktail
Be the first to ReplyThis was the best oyster bar that we've ever been.
Jess, our server, was amazing. Her cheerfulness and bubbliness was infectious. The food was delicious and succulent . This place will do very well and if we get another chance to come back to NYC, we will definitely visit this bar again. Good luck, Jess, in your new venture! - G&S

I just wish they had a bigger wine selection. It would be nice to have more options, even if it was by the bottle.

Hi, are you my new favorite restaurant? So many favorite things on the menu: Raw bar with oysters + ceviche + escargot + paella + live music! So glad to have stumbled upon this spot while strolling in the sun down 5th Ave.
Be the first to ReplyService staff are amazing and the drinks are pretty good
Service staff are amazing and the drinks are pretty good but the food is abysmal and overpriced. We ordered:Patatas bravas: tiny portions for something that is was essentially oven roasted. They were not crispy at all and they lacked any flavor. The sauces were decent, but they added too much green, throwing off the balanceShrimp ceviche: seasoned well but the quality of ingredients left a lot to be desired. The shrimp, especially, was bland and had no flavor. Seafood paella: oh lord.... What was supposed to be a specialty was a huge disappointment. First, they were generous with the amount of seafood, but like the ceviche, the quality was poor. I would rather have them give me less mussel, oysters, shrimp for better quality. The rice was undercooked and incredibly wet. The chorizo was descent, but I imagine that was made by them.Next time I come here will be for the drinks and basic food, like French fries.

Stopped by on a busy Monday night and were wonderfully surprised, or maybe we were just very fortunate. The kitchen was overwhelmed but between their hard work and an excellent waitress we were treated to amazing Beausoleil oysters, well crafted paella, and tasty crab cakes. All dishes were fresh and excellent! I am not surprised that the restaurant was crowded and others around were empty. Care and a high quality, and attentive service go a long way!

Very happy w tapas and oysters! Friendly and attentive service! Great addition to park slope!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is a staple of the neighborhood.
The best seafood and drinks in the area hands down. Just leaving a review of this place makes my mouth start to water. Not only that but the staff is super kind and attentive. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyHands down my favorite restaurant in park slope.
this spot literally got us through the pandemic with their frozen sangria, but we keep coming back for the fresh oysters (get one of each, they're always incredible), burger, schnitzel, fish & chips, octopus, french toast (best ive ever had & ive had a lot of french toast), seasonal cocktails, crispy truffle fries & obviously the crudo. Honestly just bring a big crew & order one of everything! brunch & dinner are both delish so now you have two reasons to go :) the staff is top notch & are great for recommending that bottle of wine you're craving. but you can't go wrong because they only offer the best. it's always sparkling clean, doors are open during the summer & it's always a fun time with good vibes. get yourself some Bar Crudo!

Was very shocked to have a roach come visit me at the bar just walking across minding his business. Although my oysters were great this was unacceptable only person I want to see at the bar that close to me is someone offering a drink... not a four legged creature. I wasn't compensated just took a drink off for saying it look like I need one on the walk in (ok). Bartender was sweet just didn't appreciate a manager not coming out to apologize for that.
