Great time!
I loved my time at this restaurant. We came for dinner and arrived a little bit earlier than our reservation, so to wait, we got seated at the downstairs bar for a drink. There was a DJ and the atmosphere was very nice, the drinks original and delicious. When it was time for us to get our table, we went back to the upstairs room which had another nice and chill atmosphere where we got seated at a lovely booth. The food is of Franco-Asian fusion and very well done! Special mention for the pommes dauphine and the chocolate fondant. The only drawback was that the staff was a bit slow in getting our order/attending to us and seemed unexperienced.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, very bad service
Went here for a business lunch. Called the day before to make the reservation and explicitly asked for a table, but when we arrived it turned out we’d be sitting at the counter. Asked if we could be seated at a table, but response was negative. Very disappointing, especially as we had to go through a presentation and it was obviously challenging to do so at the counter vs being seated at a proper table. Didn’t complain as I was with a client, but this is unacceptable at a restaurant of this level. Only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that the food was good.

Situated in the heart of Mayfair, Bar des Prés is a Franco-east Asian restaurant that began life in Paris and is headed up by a celebrity chef Cyril Lignac. This is the first international venture for chef Lignac and is an evolved version of the original Saint-Germain restaurant. Elegant and chic decor, and ambience. Service is attentive, smiley and efficient. Memorable dishes: millefeuille with pecan nut praline/Carb Galette/

Best food in London well done Daniel We enjoyed every single bite there. exceeded our expectations and the desserts were really amazing.
Be the first to ReplyQuality food, service is top!
This restaurant is a gem! Such great quality of food. It is served as tapas style, they recommend 5-6 dishes to share between 2 people. Quite expensive but since it’s Mayfair area and the quality of ingredients are great then the price is fair. Lovely for a date night. A great recommendation for anyone looking for a fusion restaurant.

Decor is OK. Not the best layout or design
Overall a very nice experience.

Very popular
My sister family love it and invited me
I didn't enjoy it as the timing was almost quiet and we are the only table
Good service and quality
Wow!
6 out of 5 stars!
Me and my boyfriend came to celebrate our 3rd anniversary and everything was at the right place. The athmosphere was amazing: cozy and warm. We got a seat at the counter and we ordered couple of drinks, the signature cruncy crab, and the mille feuille to finish with.

Not worth it
This was a joke.
Food was ok, nothing special at all. But the service was so bad it was a joke.😂
You can find a better Japanese in London please, you can do better with your time.
No Toilets
So after reading many reviews I was eager to visit BDP and as many reviews said . The service was below average . Nonetheless the food was amazing , even though it was probably a little over priced ..
The toilets were not functioning which we were not informed of on arrival which is incredibly rude and poor .
When we needed the toilet we had to walk across the street to a hotel which is completely unacceptable in my opinion .
To compensate us for this they offered us ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!! Not even the coffees .
What a poor show .
Came for a business meeting to we hear the manager berating the waiters!
Started the meal pleasantly, had the crispy rice salmon which was amazing but it was quickly ruined by a manager snapping at a waiter to ‘hurry up’ even though she was serving us and shortly after my colleagues and I overhead the same manager ( named Daniel I think) yelling at another poor waitress and berating her and calling her ‘useless and replaceable’. I have never been so angered during a meal and had to leave to calm down. This is absolutely disgusting and completely ruined the atmosphere. I hope that waitress is okay and that you deal with that manager as I’ve never been so infuriated and so put off. Would not recommended unless you like tension.

Wonderful food and atmosphere. The service is a bit slow but they make up for it by being very kind and making good recommendations. The desserts are obviously exquisite and the truffle croque monsieur to die for!
