Bebettes: A New Orleans Coffeehouse Asheville Reviews from The Last Year
BLUF: I am not sure if I would return here, but it was good
BLUF: I am not sure if I would return here, but it was good for a first experience. Good food quick service but way over priced. Small location located in the front of a mall makes for a very interesting experience. The prices were very high for what you ultimately get and kind of leaves you wanting more with not a whole lot of purse to do it. The location in the mall probably makes for a very high rent area. This makes it difficult for a small business to maintain low prices. Although the food was good, I'm not sure I got the value of my money For two of us to eat breakfast here it cost almost $40.
Unfriendly staff.
The beignets were marginal considering they are a specialty item. I have had better at restaurants not promoting themselves to be New Orleans style. I have also been to New Orléans and wasn't even using that a bench mark to be fair. Boring atmosphere, uneventful and not really clean. What a shame could be so much better and could have a line out the door if it managed or done right. Possible is a tourist trap or absentee owner. The other reviews seem a contraction to my experience.
Bebettes serves up irresistible beignets, freshly made.
Each bite is a perfect combination of crispy and fluffy, leaving you craving for more. Paired with their delicious coffee, it's a match made in heaven.
Beignets in Asheville, yes please!
Bebettes offers a good selection of breakfast and coffee items. We shared the Plain Jane which is an egg sandwich with cheese on a plain beignet. Delicious!!! It was a really good choice for us to share it, and it came with a side of fresh fruit salad. We also ordered their 3 count of powdered sugar beignet and split those... they were so good we ate all three. I had the chocolate lovers dream coffee and it did not disappoint!
The beignet breakfast sandwiches were out of this world!
The beignet breakfast sandwiches were out of this world! They cooked the beignets to order. We had The Country and The Goat of Montecristo for a savory and sweet option. Both were incredible.
Beignets in Asheville.
Beignets for DAYS. These are a a piece of deep fried, powdered sugar heaven. Sure, they have lots of other options like sandwiches and specialty drinks, but we like to keep it simple: beignet fingers and drip coffee. I don't think you could go wrong here!
My second visit to Asheville led me to the charming haven
My second visit to Asheville led me to the charming haven of Bebettes, tucked away in a small but inviting space. From the moment I stepped in, the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the place set a promising tone for my experience. The customer service at Bebettes was exemplary, with a team that efficiently handled orders while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My order arrived promptly, allowing me to indulge in the delights without delay. Opting for a Madagascar vanilla bean latte, I was treated to a sweet symphony of flavors that, while a tad sweeter than anticipated, still managed to please my palate. As a lover of robust coffee, I found the strength of the latte to be satisfying, albeit on the sweeter side. Now, onto the stars of the show - the beignets. Freshly prepared and served piping hot, these delightful pastries were a true delight. The original beignets boasted a light, airy texture coupled with a satisfying crunch, creating a blissful sensory experience that should be savored immediately. While the shamrock special didn't quite align with my personal taste preferences, I can see how they would be a perfect match for devoted donut enthusiasts. Leaving Bebettes with a contented heart and a longing to return soon, I can confidently say that this New Orleans coffeehouse has left a lasting impression. For those seeking a cozy spot to enjoy delicious coffee and delectable pastries in Asheville, Bebettes is undoubtedly worth a visit.
While I'd love to give this place 5 stars, it's definitely
While I'd love to give this place 5 stars, it's definitely lacking in a few places. First, the staff had generally bad vibes and were not really friendly or polite at all. Especially for 10am on a weekday, they seemed like they didn't want to be there at all and didn't smile or anything even once. Like I understand not being super happy, but it actively seemed like they hated their jobs. The beignets are $9 for 3, and are totally hollow in the middle. I wouldn't recommend the churro beignets, as they're pretty much just honey flavor. I'd also recommend getting the beignets cut into strips. I'm sort of confused why they give the beignets in a brown bag, especially the powdered sugar ones. I guess I'd recommend this place if you don't plan on ever going to NOLA, but it's neither authentic nor worth the hype. I wanted to love this place so bad but the customer service really detracted a lot from the experience, so maybe it's different for other people.
Beignets? Who doesn't love those? And to think to use them
Beignets? Who doesn't love those? And to think to use them as the bread for breakfast sandwiches is an act of genius. The sandwich was tasty, big part thanks to the beignets, which were hot, soft, and had a good sweetness. That made a nice contrast against the spice of the sausage and the smoothness of egg and cheese. Prices are a bit high but tolerable.
Beignets made fresh to order which were good.
Coffee was overly sweet and didn't like it. We sat outside but we smelled like grease just waiting inside for our order.
I'm SO happy we stopped here because it was amazing! Super
I'm SO happy we stopped here because it was amazing! Super fresh and pillowy YUM. The churro and chocolate sauce were amazing and the staff was super friendly. The chocolate sauce somehow tastes like liquid hot chocolate it was so good.
Stopped in for breakfast today and it did not disappoint!!!
Stopped in for breakfast today and it did not disappoint!!! We will Dey be back soon!
Not great
Even though I asked for 1/4 of the sweetener in a coffee drink, it was sickeningly sweet. They put the wrong cheese on his breakfast sandwich and gave him a Pumpkin spice latte when he asked for a hot chocolate.
Be prepared to wait
Delicious and unique variety of coffee drinks. Beignets were yummy - and the breakfast sandwiches a bit better. The shortfall here is the lack of staff and organization. Be prepared to wait for your order.

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
