Bettina Santa Barbara Reviews from The Last Year

Book reservations in advance, and order the pizza! Friendly staff, prompt service, it can get super busy since this place is super popular.
Leaving Bettina a 5 star because the pizza is that good,
Leaving Bettina a 5 star because the pizza is that good, but the service is more deserving of a 4 star review. We made reservations (a must) for a Sunday night at 5pm and got sat in a cozy booth right away, meanwhile people without reservations seemed to be waiting outside for the length of our meal while lots of tables around us went unbussed and unseated for long periods of time. This could be a way to control the flow of the kitchen, but as it was we were told that our pizzas would take 20-30 mins from the time we ordered them, which surprised us because it wasn't super busy and we've never been told to wait that long for pizza before. Our waitress didn't tell us this until after we had ordered and been served drinks and appetizers. It's nice that they weren't rushing us but I think it would have been helpful to know from the start of the meal that the wait time for pizzas would be close to half an hour. It then took over 35 minutes to get our pizza. The couple that got seated next to us halfway through our meal was told their pizza would take up to 40 mins at that point. When the pizza did come it was amazing though. We got a classic margherita and a pepperoni, which 3 of us ate all but one slice. I ordered a side of ranch to dip the pizza in and that combined with the spicy pepperoni pizza was heaven. We ordered the blueberry pavlova, which was amazing! The meringue did not get soggy, the lemon curd was tart and the hazelnuts were a great textural and nutty addition. Also decided to try their olive oil cake which is served room temperature with powdered sugar, it was good but tasted like most olive oil cakes with a moist denseness that makes you pound some water after. The arancini appetizer was like a high end mozzarella stick in a ball, would order again! I love their food and want to go back soon for more pizza but helps knowing the wait times can be a surprise.
After reading positive reviews about this place, my husband
After reading positive reviews about this place, my husband and I were really excited to try out this place but our experience was not that great (we did takeout). Maybe if we had dined it would have been different, but their takeout process could use some more organization. We had phoned in our order and confirmed time of pick up. We arrived on time only to be told that we need to wait outside because "the food wasn't ready" and they would let us know. Well, we waited, for 30 minutes! Even the person before us, who ordered takeout, had already gotten his food way earlier. My husband then eyed a pizza box near the hostess table and asked whose it was (it was sitting there for awhile) and they had confirmed that it was our order. By the time we tasted our food back at the hotel, the pizza was cold. We had ordered the chanterelle pizza with added sausage along with a caesar salad. Pizza was all right, though it would have been more delicious eaten warm. Caesar salad was all right. People were "raving" about the wood fired bread in the reviews so we wanted to try that - don't worry, you are not missing out. It's just regular bread with butter, and it tasted cold and quite firm by the time we tried it. That was not worth paying $10 for when you can get "free bread" at other restaurants. Maybe experience might be different if we dined inside, but if you do - be prepared for a wait because this place is busy. Prices are reasonable, credit cards are accepted and there's plenty of parking.
Food: 4.
5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 This restaurant is such a cute little spot within an outdoor shopping complex. It opened at 4:30 pm, and by 4:32 pm there were already 5 parties ahead of us (that's a good sign!). The food was really good and I will definitely go back one day! My favorite item was the snap pea pizza, surprisingly. If you add a little lemon, it really heightens the flavor profile. The ONLY reason I am giving the food a 4.5 is because the pepperoni pizza was a little oily and the salad was overdressed.
Delicious! I ordered the Caesar salad and Creamed Leek
Delicious! I ordered the Caesar salad and Creamed Leek pizza. So good. I had it delivered so the pizza wasn't hot but it was still yummy. The crust is amazing. I'm definitely going to go there another time. Recommend!
Best pizza in all of Santa Barbara.
Fab tomato sauce, fab meat. Perfectly cooked. Very helpful nice staff.
Wow! Don't know where to start! Visited SB and a friend
Wow! Don't know where to start! Visited SB and a friend recommended this restaurant. Service was fantastic, ambiance was perfect (right before sunset) and food was just exquisite!! We ordered: Gioia Burrata & Tutti's Peas, Meatballs "Alla Vodka", Radiatore with Casitas Valley pork ragu, and creamed leek and pepperoni pizza!! Favorite plate was the meatballs "alla vodka" and the burrata! A must. Plus the chef was handsome too! Definitely recommend!
Hands down the best pizza in Southern California.
I stick with the classic Margherita pizza, arancini, and the baby gems salad. Perfection! Their cocktails are great as well. Worth the drive from Santa Clarita!
Came here on a visit to Santa Barbara with my mama and oh
Came here on a visit to Santa Barbara with my mama and oh my goodness, it was one of the best meals that I've had in a while! Their Caesar salad was to die for!! I have been dreaming of it ever since. We also split a mushroom pizza and it was one of the best pizzas that I have ever had. The drinks were delish and service was great, we'd definitely come back on a future visit! They do get busy and there can be a long wait, so reservations are encouraged.
Excellent service! Excellent food! The Milliken potato

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
