Bird Pizzeria Charlotte Reviews
Great experience!
The food and atmosphere was amazing! The pizza is what we were there for, but the kale salad ended up being my favorite part. Will come back again.
Best Pizza in Charlotte!!
First time here. We had been trying to get a reservation to eat in here for a while now, an opening popped up on a recent weeknight and we grabbed it. We did learn that if you get here on a weeknight when the dining room opens at 5:30, you will likely get seated as a walk-in. On to the experience! Service is both friendly and efficient and the dining room has a nice vibe. They do have a full bar but limited non-alcoholic drinks. Menu is obviously pizza centric, with a couple of salads. We went with the Kale Caesar (definitely a crowd fav here) and it was very good. More than enough for two. We ordered two pies: one mushroom, one of their white pie specials. The pizza is absolutely the best we've had in Charlotte, no question. The crust is both chewy and crispy, with a nice amount of char thrown in. Toppings are quality, from the simple mushroom to the complex white pie (with potato, guanciale and lemon ricotta). Very tasty indeed! Highly recommend.
Still the best pizza in CLT
How can each Bird experience be better than the last? Ordered out “go-to” pepperoni, Calabrian peppers and Basil pizza along with a “Best White Pizza” with Guanciale. The got to was awesome as always. The white was fantastic. The lemon Ricotta was sublime and the crispy Guanciale was perfection. Exceptional, friendly service service, great pre dinner drinks. We’ve already waitlisted our next visit.
Not what we expected
This did not live up to the hype the way I expected. We came on a Wednesday night around 6pm with our dog (we knew we would have to sit outside, no biggie). We ordered our pizza with the QR code (pepperoni & cheese) and waited about 30 min to get it, again no biggie, we expected a wait. Our order was given to someone else on accident with a similar name and again, no biggie, things happen. The issue I had was with the actual pizza. The taste was pretty good but the toppings were literally sliding off a super soggy floppy crust and so greasy it dripped and got everywhere. Despite the sogginess, somehow about 3 pieces the crust was burnt black. I get there’s different styles of pizza different places but this just didn’t not seem worth almost $30 we paid. Also for the “take out” area there’s only water and bottled coke available and very very dim market lights around the seating area. Hopefully this is a one-off thing and can’t speak for the dining area inside.
You Can Only Buy Two...And You Should Buy Two!
We live in Charlotte, but first read about Bird Pizzeria in the New York Times on the list of best pizza places in the United States. We are so glad to discover this unbelievable gem in our city. This pizza, with oven blisters on the crust and high-quality ingredients, will be the measuring stick for any pizza we have moving forward. All online ordering. Simple offering. Delicious and memorable pizza pie. Worth the time. Worth the drive. We will go back. Probably tonight.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Bird Pizzeria Charlotte at 6 PM the same day.

That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.

* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
