Bleu Provence Naples Reviews from The Last Year
An excellent restaurant
My wife and I returned to Bleu Provence for dinner after a two year absence. The dining room continues to be beautiful but we chose to eat on the patio which is less formal. My wife had Escargot and the Wagyu Filet Mignon and I had the Smoked Salmon and the Wagyu Short Ribs. The food was excellent and well presented but the occasion was spoiled by a waiter (bearded with tattoos) who was intrusive to the point of being obnoxious.
Excellent on all counts
I can't say enough good things about this lovely restaurant. Food, service, and ambiance are excellent. Every time I've been there has been delightful!
Wow, I can't believe the low rating this restaurant has.
I thought the meal and service were excellent. Perhaps we caught them on a good night? Ratings are funny - are 5 stars reserved for world class restaurants? Is this in my top ten restaurants? No. Perhaps 4 stars are appropriate if comparing to Michelin rated places.
We always dine at Bleu Provence because of its excellent
We always dine at Bleu Provence because of its excellent food. Friday evening decided at last minute to have Escargo y mussels. This is the first time the escargo had no garlic taste at all. Ordered a not expensive wine that Jacque the owner brings from near his home in France. Macon de village. The wine is simply a nice inexpensive wine that Total Wine sells for $14.00. Was told by Jacque's son the price was $40.00 for 2022 vintage. Very sad to see prices double and quality decrease.

sooooooo disappointed! They put a party of 24 in the front, quiet dining room I had requested. Loud people, poorly dressed , and they noise took over the entire room. This used to be a place of elegant clientele and hushed tones. Either give them the entire room or make them come on a night when your regular patrons are not there. We had to shout over each other, our little table of 4, just awful. Food used to spectacular, now average, server was good but everyone server was waiting on the 24 people! We will NOT be back...greed has taken over Bleu Provence, and it isn't pretty.
My wife and I have been dining at Bleu Provence for special
My wife and I have been dining at Bleu Provence for special occasions since they opened many years ago. ALWAYS has been top notch- service, food ambiance. ^ stars or more. Even a special long time waiter who was spectatcular. Just finished a review on the new generation. Sadly, another example of poor effirt to continue the tradition. We went on a Thursday, two weeks ago for my wifes 83rd bday. Our waiter, who we loved, was out. The gentlemen(?) who waited on us couldn't have been worse. We arrived on time for the early dining, and were out the door in 35 minutes. We had our appetizers before we had our wine on the table. Service could not have been worse. It's still an expensive restaurant and frankly the service should match. I don't need to spend 150.00+ to have the bums rush to clear our table. Incidentally, there were tables available when we left. I will never go back again. Absoloutely inexcusable. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that he was unavailable but they were sorry for the service. Bye Bye. Ken kapilow Naples
Threw a party for my big brother in their wine room.
Even though it was somewhat short notice the whole affair was a smash! Great food and good service. Love this place!
Wonderful dinner on the patio!
We have dined here several times already this season, and it remains prominent among our favorites in Naples. The ambiance, service (thank you, Sylvia K), and cuisine all rank with the very best in our area. On this most recent occasion, I had the halibut (photo) but also sampled the loupe de mer, and both were wonderful. A few of us shared the profiteroles for dessert -- extraordinary. But the highlight for me was the starter, the Provençal fish soup, which is just outstanding. We prefer the patio, but the interior dining areas are also beautifully appointed, with a smile inducing decor. It's wonderful to have this place here in Naples.
Exceptional.
A gem with fantastic food, service and atmosphere in a great town! Can't wait to go back for a dinner occasion and make that special person smile!
Great menu with a large variety of steaks seafood and pasta.
Great atmosphere. Free valet. Cocktails were spot on.
Love sitting at the bar.
Excellent food and service. Helpful sommeliers with an extensive selection of wines.
A Must!
Loved the charming atmosphere and the food. Delicious bread, butter, and homemade olive tapenade to start. Burrata appetizer was exquisite. Steak tartare was very good. And the profiteroles stole the show. Do not waste any time making a reservation at Bleu Provence first chance you get!
Best short ribs ever!
The Fois gras started off slow, but the braised short ribs were the best that I have ever had! Do not change that recipe! Thank you!!!
Very disappointed!
This has been my go to favorite Naples restaurant for the past 8 years. Love fish and mushroom soups. Sadly I was very disappointed 2/10. Black grouper for my partner was extremely small for the price. I ordered special rack of lamb. Should have asked price. Server (new and not know familiar) did not tell me price. I worked in restaurants many years. Always give price of specials! Fatty, gristly 4 chop. Took 3 home and discarded. Bill came - $75.00 for the lamb! Outrageous pricing. Sadly not sure I will go back.
Average Food in a Pleasant Atmosphere
Nice. The service was pretty good; it's attentive, although a little rough around the edges. The food was nothing special, but if you are as deprived of French food as I am, even average tastes pretty good. Presentation is very good, and portions generous. Our orders were duck confit (mine) and the halibut. The halibut got very high marks for flavor and preparation; my duck was, as to be expected, very tender, but there was not much flavor. Bleu Provence is a very pretty restaurant, and a nice destination for a date night. The food is neither exciting nor classical. It's...OK. So, if you are willing to spend a lot of money for OK, this just might be the place for you.
As it should be: Excellence
We visited Bleu Provence last night with friends and had a fabulous dinner and excellent service by a team led by Andrea. Our table was on the patio which is so lovely! From our wine and drinks, the bread, our appetizers and entrees were all the best that Naples has to offer. It’s been a while since our last visit, but we will be sure to visit again soon. Excellence!
Not worth what's paid for
In every respect the term mediocre finds its home here.Naturally January is a very busy season here but the restaurant seemed to be operating with a less than optimum staff for a restaurant with their high prices. At times the service was very slow. The food, at its best is "OK", but the prices for it are not "OK". You would expect some flash of enjoyment at some point in the servings, but it never happens. Once again, it's Ok if the prices weren't so high. The wine list is extensive, but the pricing is on the high side. While other reviewers may disagree, this can't be the best that Naples has to offer.
Disappointed.
My family liked their entrees (Wagyu filet mignon and bay scallops), but my halibut was dry and not very flavorful. The grilled asparagus was way overcooked and mushy. Our waitress never informed us that there was an extensive wine list, so we foolishly just ordered wine by the glass from the list on the back of the dinner menu. Wine was good but it would have been nice to be offered the full wine list. The dinner menu also listed four beers but after ordering one, the waitress returned to say they were out of that beer as well as a second of the four.
Rude Blu Service.
Waiter (long grey beard and tattoos)immediately disinterested when we requested early bird menu. Was verging on rude when we requested house red wine. Abruptly told us happy hour drinks only at bar and not at table!! Was indignant at 10% tip which he wouldn’t have received had we not been entertaining friends and didn’t want a fuss.
Excellent food, Rushed Service
We have been here before and loved it. The food was excellent again, but the service was not. I asked for time to enjoy our drinks before our appetizers were brought, but no sooner than I asked they showed up. So when the waiter came back I kindly said please do not bring our meals until we ask so we could now enjoy our wine. Once again our dinner showed up shortly after and we sent them back! This is not a fast food place and we shouldn't be rushed. So I spoke to the manager and he seem concerned but in the end he did nothing. I wasn't looking for much, but there was no acknolwedgement by some small concession! It just happend as I was getting ready to leave the owner asked how dinner was and I let him know. He did acknowledge the mistake with a adjustment to the bill. We like the place and hope this was just a bad night, but we shouldn't have been subjected to such treatment.
This place is spectacular, except they should add a chicken
This place is spectacular, except they should add a chicken breast to their menu! Food was absolutely divine. Sea Bass with Lemon caper sauce, Quiche, the bread.... but the drinks, the drinks are beyond! Handcrafted, modern and refreshing change! Service was exceptional. We got in earlier than reservation and staff were completely friendly about us being early. Lastly, we sat outside on covered patio with heat lamps and Christmas trees with all the tropical flora. What a great way to spend NYE! Will definitely be back!
Excellent food and service! One of the best wine selections
Excellent food and service! One of the best wine selections I've seen in a while. Love the atmosphere.
Just a quick update The place has not been sold The family
Just a quick update The place has not been sold The family nixed the deal Had dinner Saturday night it was as always wonderful Few things we noticed #1 ordered the cheese platter Wheres the cheese???? Use to be 4 cheeses now only 2 Told the waitress and she brought out some chopped cheese Ordered smoke salmon no toast points Had duck use to be a leg and a small breast Wine was as always super but must sat for 400.00 plus have to think twice frequenting this place Will go For occasions but not on e a month
Our experience was far from satisfactory.
My wife and I visited to celebrate a special occasion, but the service left much to be desired. While the tuna tartare was passable, it was served with only three crisps, which seemed rather unusual for an appetizer. The fish soup lacked flavor and had a watery consistency. After just a couple of spoonfuls, both my wife and I decided to stop. The escargot arrived with a frothy element, but the combination of flavors didn't harmonize well with the dish. My wife only managed to eat one out of the six pieces, clearly indicating its lackluster quality. As for the 6oz steak, it fell well below our expectations. To put it bluntly, if I were served this steak at a chain restaurant like Friday's, I would have been disappointed. The dessert, a chocolate mousse, was almost comical in its presentation - a mere dollop of mousse in a bowl. It was unappetizing, to say the least. Given our experience, we have no intention of returning to this establishment. I shared our disappointment with another couple, and they mentioned that they could have warned us about it. Apparently, our disappointing experience was not unique, as others had encountered similar issues.

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
