Brasserie van Baerle Amsterdam Reviews from The Last Year
Fell into the honey pot! ;-)))
Just a 5-minute walk from the Van Gogh Museum, we followed a recommendation from Falstaff and were very lucky to get the last free table without a reservation!!! The interior is a very successful and cozy mixture of French brasserie and Viennese coffee house. The service is extremely friendly, attentive and courteous even if you are clearly a tourist just passing by and not one of the many regulars. I have never seen the wine list divided up like this before - it is very helpfully divided into light, medium and heavy wines and is of course well sorted. The dishes are all a dream, especially the catch of the day (seabass) was absolutely fresh and extremely deliciously prepared to perfection. Breton oysters and escargot were flawless! Conclusion: the perfect end to a museum visit in Amsterdam! Make sure you make a reservation if you don't want to push your luck!
Excellent
Unfortunately, in my opinion, the catering industry in the Netherlands does not have a very good reputation. If you want to see and experience the other side of the catering industry in the Netherlands, then you should definitely come here. Welcoming, friendly and thoughtful service, a casual atmosphere and ultimately a delicious meal. Overall excellent and recommended
Excellent address
Wonderfully classic card. Fine wines. Very good atmosphere. Very friendly service. Close to the Concertgebouw!
Great place to eat!!!
Amazing food and service. Great place to eat and good value for what you get. Highly recommended. My wife and I ordered a course from each selection and shared. They were great a paring wine with the meal. Jeanne was amazing!!
Fantastic
Very nice service, classic, lunch is fantastic. The garden behind it is great. A slightly older audience, but that shouldn't spoil the fun :)
Classic, but contemporary
Renowned address where not much has changed over the years. I ate here for the first time 35 years ago and I still remember how impressed I was with the dishes. Now enjoyed it again. Classic French cuisine, but kept up with the times. Festive start with fresh oysters and champagne. Starter: beet salad with sheep's cheese. It was certainly good, but could have heated up a little more. Main: skrei with crustacean sauce. Large portion of high quality fish and perfectly prepared. Delicious sauce with a full and intense taste. Add: a nice selection of cheeses. The accompanying (generously served) wines were all a hit and really added something to the dishes. Very pleasant - young - service, with just the right balance between casual and professional.
Excellent but a bit expensive
A restaurant with a gourmet feel, excellent starters and main courses, a very good wine list, a vintage charm of the place and the service but a bill of €130 / 2 people which seems a little excessive to me.
Nothing to complain about
Excellent address for a pleasant lunch or dinner in a typical traditional brasserie atmosphere. Well-maintained cuisine with pleasant wines. Pleasant professional service.
Should NOT Be in Michelin
The food is extremely mediocre -- seems like it is something that was considered "cuisine" in the 1950s. The dish of codfish was served barely warm and was not really very edible. On the plus sign, the wine list was fairly priced and included some nice choices. Unfortunately, the food did not measure up to the wine list.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
