This visit was my second time eating at this restaurant, but my first time doing a review about it. Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted warmly and professionally by the hostess. The decor isn't bad; however, it isn't something that you'd be in awe of. It was average. I did like how the staff (male & female) were all dressed in black, white shirts, and neckties. It did not take long for them to seat me, and that could be due to having made a reservation. Once I was seated, the server, whose name I can't recall, came to the table, introduced himself in a very professional manner, and took my order. I ordered their Caesar Salad, Atlantic Salmon with creamy whipped potatoes, a side of Sautéed Corn, and Warm Bread Pudding for dessert. I enjoyed everything that I ordered. The food wasn't awe-inspiring; however, it was tasty and seasoned to my liking. If you haven't eaten at this establishment, I recommend you do so. I do want to point out that parking is almost disastrous. You will more than likely have to park away from the restaurant in the parking lot and walk to it. I recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to find a decent parking spot.
Awesome place with great food!
Made a reservation online which was easy to do. Arrived on time and was seated immediately. I liked the ambience and wasn’t too loud. We were in a nice booth with good seats. The food was excellent. I had the salmon and broccoli with fettuccine Alfredo. For dessert I had the carrot cake which I loved. The only reason this is a 4 instead out of 5 rating is the service. I found our server, Allison, to be extremely abrasive. She seemed put out by our requests. Her body language and tone were just bad for a server. It was so immediate of a negative experience that for the first time ever I considered asking for another server. I didn’t and just accepted what we had so I didn’t make a stink. Please retrain this associate or remove her from a server position if this is her natural personality.

I literally suggest everything on the menu lol great customer service with amazing prices that will blow your mind. The butter crab sushi on the small menu is one of my favorites. The crab cakes are one of the best ive had in charlotte. And don't forget to get expresso martini they are perfect.

Not only was ambiance and the food AMAZING, but the service was truly the best!!! Shenae was on top of EVERY single aspect. She was attentive and thought ahead to our needs and how to make our experience the best! We had 2 sushi rolls: The Hollywood and the Dragon, and we shared Ribs- which were SO good, the best I have EVER had. The meat literally slid off the bone and was so flavorful and savory. The drinks (I had a grapefruit vodka drink, that Shenae had made a little sweeter, just how I like it)- I could sip that all summer long! We were so blessed to have such a wonderful meal and a great server. Thank you and God Bless to all who prepared our food and served it! 5 stars all day long!!!
Ambiance was great, dim and very cute.
Service was also very good, our waiter constantly checked on us. Food was pretty good too, the salad was great, the tuna tar tar also was very good. The ribs were ok, I would like to try something else next time
Always delivers
A true “steady Freddy” restaurant – the regular menu items are consistent quality. This evening, I had the New Orleans Shrimp special – light Cajun seasoning with a great risotto. Waitress handled or group of 5 with ease.

Been here a couple of times and always enjoy it.
The staff are super nice and helpful. The food is always good. I got the meatloaf and it's pretty flavorful. The au gratin potatoes is also good and especially the stir fry vegetables. The drinks are good as well. Portions are good. My friend got the salad and she loves it. Pretty place, simple and elegant. Ambiance is nice and simple looking. Well versed of customers.
Business lunch today at BrickTop's.
Classy atmosphere beginning with staff that is dressed (pearls on ladies) and greets all customers instantly!! The wait staff is knowledgeable and knows just the right time to take orders. Never pushy and no interruptions. We began our lunch with artichoke Spanish dip which was out of this world. The menu had something for everyone for a light, medium or hearty meal. This is one of my go to restaurants in Charlotte. You will not be disappointed!
This place was packed on a Friday night.
We waited about 30 minutes to get a table. It seems like a popular neighborhood restaurant. The patrons were all pretty dressed up (country club vibes). The food and service were good. We had a shrimp appetizer and I had the bistro chicken. Plenty of parking in the parking lot.
Came here for dinner on a Thursday night.
There was no wait to be seated. Lots of comfy booths and pretty lighting. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The staff wore black pants and black vest with a white shirt underneath. It reminded a lady at the table of the outfits worn at fancy steakhouses in the past. It was very professional looking. 2 ladies got a salad and the presentation was very pretty. It was stacked and layered. One lady got the prime rib and thoroughly enjoyed it. One lady got the shanghi sushi roll and enjoyed it. I got the lobster bisque. It was ok, but the soup was very different than I'm used to. Personally, I like the creamy one with sherry on top better... like Sullivan's. For my entree I got the chicken milanese with fettuccine alfredo. I thought the chicken would come on top of the pasta, but it was to the side. The noodles were very thin. To me, the dish definitely needed more noodles. I got key lime pie for dessert. It was wonderful. All desserts are made in house. The pie had a Graham cracker macadamia nut crust with a pudding custard filling and visible lime zest. Definitely enjoyed the flavor and texture. The women's restroom was very nice also. Each stall is like it's own room with real walls. I can see why this place is popular. Decent food with a nice, comfortable atmosphere.
Service very disappointing
we have tried and tried. food is good but service is just terrible. server too busy chatting with other tables to see we were ready for check. FINALLY another server took care of us. mgr was nice afterwards, but come on guys. either get MORE servers or train them to service ALL their tables. very disappointing. we tried again after a disappointing experience before. seems we’ll just be dining elsewhere in the future. And this was at 2:15-3:15 on a Sat. afternoon…..not even peak time!
Do not try lunch special or lobster roll!!
Lunch Special- Lobster roll- DO NOT ORDER! Five times the bread than lobster which was not dressed! No mayo, lemon sauce or remoulade! Or even a lemon wedge! And way too many French fries (took up 70% of the plate)!! If there’s a next trip in my future, No lunch special for me!!! Don’t even let me get started on the parking situation!!! 😡
horrible experience
My husband and I are regulars at this restaurant and have been for the last 2 years. Unfortunately we invited a family member to join us for dinner Friday night and she was met with gross discrimination. She was refused service based upon her disability. We had just been seated and our first interaction was a server stating that the restaurant would not serve her. ( my aunt who has MS, walks with a cane, and sometimes has balance issues due to her disability). We escalated this issue to 3 levels of management and not once were we provided justification for the refusal of service. Instead we were told that someone in the bathroom made a comment about my aunts disability. Even upon further explanation of her disability there was never any apology , or effort to accommodate her in sitting down and ordering a meal. I’m appalled and disheartened at the blatant discrimination that we saw against the disabled. We will never visit this establishment again nor recommend to anyone.
"Alison" Makes a Difference in The Dining Experience on Sunday"
This has become one of our favorite restaurants to dine in Charlotte. As a global business traveler having dined in the finest restaurants in the world I can make the following comments. The food has been consistent in the last ten visits over a period of 12 weeks. Our waitress ALISON is one key reason we dine here beside the food. She is very professional and has a perfect tempo for taking the orders and knowing when she is needed and highly responsive and provides a consistent service with a professional demeanor and clearly an asset and credit to the working of the restaurant. We had filet mignon and baby back ribs, the wine was excellent, the beer selection excellent, desserts excellent. This evening was relaxing and Alison made the visit a pleasant experience once again. When you can leave a restaurant having had good service, good food and a pleasant clean atmosphere it makes a world of difference in your mental state. Once again Alison made it happen!!
Great food and Service!
We stopped in for dinner and were not disappointed. I had the halibut special and my wife had a steak. The food and service was very good. This is a classic restaurant and is very cozy with great food. Well worth it for dinner.
Disappointing!
My friend & I came here for lunch today. I had been looking forward to trying this place ever since I moved to South Park. Don’t know if it was just an off-day, but I’m being generous in giving it 3 stars. They were out of the lobster salad that we wanted, so my friend ordered a burger well done. It came out pink in the middle. The server took it back, but they only put it on the grill & brought the same piece back, so the cheese was so melted it was almost indiscernible. I ordered the Hollywood sushi roll. It was OK, but not worth $22!! Service was so-so. I had to ask twice for a water refill. My tab was $45 for 1 glass of wine, a sushi roll, tax & tip. With so many other good dining options close by, this would not be a place I would recommend!
No non alcohol beers and lackluster service
Had dinner 6/29 ...As always the food was good. Server seemed distracted, when one of us needed a fork it did not happen for way too long. When it came time for desert, the server just plopped the menu on the table and walked away. Not good was that the restaurant had no NA (non alcohol) beer to offer. These beers are no longer things to maybe offer. Super markets have them. Most other decent Charlotte resturaunts have them. Bricktops is better than decent. To be told "I guess we've been out of NA'S for a while doesn't cut it. Send someone out and buy a couple of six packs before you serve dinner that night. Were we not with another couple I would have walked out as I would have had I been told we're out of vodka before I quit alcohol. Location: Charlotte
Excellent Dinner and Great Desserts
This is our third visit to Bricktop this year. Tonight we tried something new from the dinner menu. I was impressed with the Palm Beach Salad and the Carrot Cake Dessert. The salad was well balanced and as a global traveler now living in Charlotte I can speak from experience and comment this entree was excellent. The same can be said for the traditional carrot cake for which was NOT traditional and on a level unlike carrot cake. The restaurant delivered a lighter version with hints of several spices not overwhelming nor was the cream cheese light coating. Not overwhelming in sugar but just the right balance of flavor and very light and quite delicious. Our waitress was Alison who was a joy to have been working this shift. Very professional and was present when we needed something. She is a credit to the restaurant and we welcome her the next time we visit Bricktop. Overall, this venus is relaxing, clean, with excellent food. Furthermore, we can now say they have been consistent in their quality, presentation, attention to detail and professionalism. I have no complaints.
Business dinner
I am surprised that this is a top restaurant in Charlotte. I am from out of town and had a business dinner when staying at the nearby Marriott. The service was very uneven. We were given a list of special’s and a prime sushi menu. Two of us ordered sushi. 10 min later the waitress came by and told us there is no sushi tonight. Those folks ordered salads as a first course and sushi as the second. The salad came out right away before they could decide if they wanted to change their orders. The waitress had no idea what bourbons they had”. We ordered a side of spinach ( this is a steak place), instead of putting in a bowl for sharing they put it all on one of our plates with our steak. Steak frite was ruined by some off tasting green ( not chimichurri) sauce which was unexpected. The manager seemed to not care when I let her know about the sushi order and we didn’t want entrees coming out at different times. I didn’t expect anything ‘free’ but a table visit to see if all ok would have been professional. Food was ok.
Highly recommend this place
This was a great place to have a casual lunch with nice ambiance and great food, and also very good service, had it all when you are vacationing and want to have a taste of the place you are visiting , culinary and ambiance

Bricktops has been a family favorite for years in Charlotte! It's a great spot for everyone. Their menu is extensive and has lots of options no matter what you're in the mood for! The martinis are also a must! So tasty. Never had a bad experience. Highly recommend this spot for lunch, dinner, corporate events or any event!

Upon entering the restaurant, the lobby, bar and restaurant overall was incredibly busy. There were many people without reservations looking for seating in the bar area. My guest and I stood and waited only about 10 minutes or so before two seats at the bar became available. Despite the business of the restaurant, the premises were clean and the staff remained friendly. As I mentioned earlier, the bar was incredibly busy. Every seat was full and there were many people standing looking to be seated in the bar area. Despite this, the team kept the bar very clean and provided us with fast and professional service. We quickly sat in a couple of vacant seats following a the departure of a family who was waiting for their table to be ready. The staff quickly tidied the area up and Zach greeted us with a warm smile immediately upon sitting down. He inquired about about whether or not we would be dining at the bar and set a clean white cloth napkin in front of us. My guest ordered a margarita while I looked over the wine list and I was impressed at the speed at which Zach was able to deliver their beverage. Zach was also very helpful in helping me make a whine selection. There was a guest who in my option was being a bit difficult and was not happy with the preparation of her food. Zach handled this customer with such grace and patience, he was a true star and could not have showed up in a more professional manner. After ordering the calamari for an appetizer, the food came out rather quickly and was fresh and delicious. Zach checked I regularly and also rang in our entrees. The food was delivered by the runner and my steak was prepared perfectly. I got the baked potato as a side, which I had not yet tried from Bricktops. It was delicious and I will definitely order again. We boxed up our unfinished meals and were presented with a dessert menu. In past visits, we have tried the carrot cake. Zach enthusiastically recommended that we try the bread pudding, to which we obliged. We could not have been more grateful for his recommendation, it was just as delicious as he had described. We will definitely order this again. He checked in after our first couple of bites, and seems so pleased that we were enjoying the dessert. Upon completion, Zach asked if he could do anything else for us to which we replied "No", and were checked out and on our way. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and Zach was such a pleasure to dine with, we will definitely be back.

Good meal, good service, but REALLY noisy.
I almost feel like what I am about to say is unfair. Generally, if I have a complaint I like to pair it with a suggestion as to how things could be improved. Before I get to that, allow me to say that we had a reservation (which I HIGHLY recommend for dinner as the place was packed) and we were seated in a timely fashion. The seating area was comfortable and nicely decorated. The service was fine, not special but not poor by any means. Everything we ordered was quite good and the meal's pacing was also good. I thought the prices were a little high, even in these days of higher prices, but that wouldn't prevent me from coming here again. However, the place was incredibly noisy. I could barely hear my waiter and it was impossible to have a normal conversation. It was like eating dinner in an airplane terminal. I don't know how to suggest a remedy for that problem. There was nothing obvious about the design of the place that should have resulted in it being such a din. It was a nice meal, well prepared, and creatively presented. But the noise level took a lot of shine off of the experience for me. Perhaps it was just me, and the person I was with. I would have given a four-star review based solely on the meal and service but we found it difficult to enjoy the meal in that environment.

Prosecco is cold and crisp, not too sweet. Chips and artichoke dip was just okay. I didn't particularly like the yellow cheese. I prefer the cheese to be whiter in color and a little less thick. The chips are also too thick and don't taste light and crispy. The crab cake is very good! All meat and very tasty! I also enjoyed the French fries and coleslaw on the side. Very fresh. The service at the bar was perfect even tho I walked in during the lunch crowd.

Went here for my mom's birthday dinner, and I have zero regrets. Such a gorgeous restaurant with a nice ambience. Our server was a sweetheart and so attentive. We ordered crab cakes, prime rib, and grilled trout plus sushi and the Shanghai shrimp appetizer. Everything was delicious, and the portions were just right. Looking forward to coming back to try other menu items.

Everyone at the table enjoyed their food. I had crab cakes. They weren't the best I've had but good. My husband had to he meatloaf and it was also good. The bread pudding was the STAR OF THE SHOW. Calamari was cooked well but bland. I can't remember our server's name but he was very attentive and informative...something else I really appreciate. I love the dim lighting and the calm atmosphere. It is always a packed house but it's never loud or over stimulating. It's a really nice vibe no matter the occasion.

Tonight, this place was bustling with energy, which was unexpected for a Wednesday evening, especially considering the weather outside. The lively atmosphere from the moment I stepped in assured me it was going to be a great experience. The restaurant was consistently busy throughout my visit. The menu boasted a wide array of options, and I opted for the deviled eggs with millionaire bacon followed by the Panko-crusted Seabass with stir-fried vegetables, all of which were incredibly delicious. For dessert, I indulged in the cinnamon bread pudding, which was a delightful finish to the meal. The service was commendable; our waitress was attentive and accommodating. If I had to nitpick, I missed having some bread served at the start of the meal, and the lively ambiance made conversation a bit challenging due to the noise level. Nevertheless, I would definitely return to explore more of the menu. Given the packed atmosphere even on a Wednesday, I recommend making reservations, especially for weekend visits. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with excellent food.
Not an easy place to get into without reservations.
We found a table at the bar. Staff was very nice about cleaning the table while we waited. Good vibes in the bar area, a few families tried to bring children into that area, but they did not stay. Not sure what the policy was, but agree with no children in the bar area. Second time to this restaurant, service and food have always been great.

Nice dinner for four
Enjoyed a great dinner with our friends here at Bricktops. The deviled eggs and millionaires bacon is a must try! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entrées: the chicken Milanese, the cedar planked salmon, the steak frites, and the Chilean sea bass. The carrot cake is not a traditional carrot cake, but served warm and was delicious. Ambience and service were great!
Gone Downhill
This place used to be so great but the staff has become downright sour and the service is taking a slide as well. There are sooooo many terrific restaurants around the Southpark area and sadly this one isn't on the list anymore.

Great spot for lunch
What a wonderful spot for lunch. Business lunches, birthday celebrations, couples lunch etc. the place to be seen. Appetizer: deviled eggs + millionaire bacon. Crisp, brown sugared. Crabcake with remoulade sauce. No bread filling. Buttered beans= Lima beans Warmed chocolate cookie with peppermint ice cream. Very attentive waitstaff. Delightful
Luke warm experience
Went on a weekday for late lunch with my son. he had seared Aji tuna ( good but not great)with brussels sprouts, the brussels sprouts were very good. I had crabcakes with loaded mashed potatoes. The crabcakes were a nice portion, the sauce, which I guess was an aioli was nondescript. My loaded mashed potatoes were lukewarm in the center, the first bite I took was a lump of unmelted cool butter- we did inform the server, and she comped a bread pudding for dessert, which was nice all in all I felt for the prices that they charge we could’ve expected a meal that was executed better. I would call the level of execution pedestrian. on the plus side the servers and staff were very good. I hate to leave reviews like this, but this is my honest opinion.
Great restaurant for family and friends lunch or dinner
Friendly restaurant in a nice neighborhood of Charlotte. You need to make a reservation because it’s usually very busy. The food quality was good and fresh and the prices quite good. Staff very friendly and prompt to help. I surely will be back.
Top notch dinner at Bricktop's
Just had an impromptu dinner at Bricktop's and it was excellent. Not certain if reservations are needed or customary but we walked in at a bit past 5:30 and were seated right away. We were not familiar with this restaurant but it is upscale and may be classified as fine dining. Upon being seated Bella brought us waters and took our drink and appetizer order. She was not our server and was more of a server's assistant who handled refills, pre-bussing etc. Soon after Chris, our server, approached. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the menu. The menu covers sushi, a few appetizers, salads, entrees, sides and the back has wines, draft beer, and a few signature cocktails. To start we went with the deviled eggs and spinach artichoke dip which were delicious. My boyfriend had the Crazy Tuna roll which he devoured in seconds. For our mains he had the Prime Rib and I the Chicken Milanese. Both dishes were outstanding. Each entree comes with your choice of one side. We opted for the stir fry vegetables and fettuccine Alfredo. The food was amazing but the service was what helped to make our experience memorable. We don't head out to Southpark often but if you do, definitely recommend Bricktop's

If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to BrickTop's Charlotte at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the BrickTop's Charlotte page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* BraveCloth47, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* BraveCloth47 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to BraveCloth47 for any questions Peter may have as BraveCloth47 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* BraveCloth47 now uses their connections at BrickTop's Charlotte to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If BraveCloth47 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, BraveCloth47 receives the $200 reward which is credited to BraveCloth47's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at BrickTop's Charlotte!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
