Brooklyn High Low Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year
I cannot say enough about this place! The perfect tea party
I cannot say enough about this place! The perfect tea party in NYC and worth every penny. The whole experience is amazing and the decor is even better!
We did the heights service at their flagship location.
The restaurant is tiny but cute. The service was great! The tea selection was excellent and you get to try so many. The food was just okay, but for $70, it was definitely worth the experience!
On a chilly afternoon, I decided to visit Brooklyn High
On a chilly afternoon, I decided to visit Brooklyn High Low's Tea Rooms for a warm cup of tea and some relaxation. The ambiance was quaint, with soft music playing in the background, creating a soothing atmosphere. However, I found the service to be a bit slow, as it took quite some time for my order to be taken. While the tea was decent, I expected a bit more variety in their menu offerings. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but there's certainly room for enhancement, especially in terms of promptness and variety.
A lovely experience overall and my second time at Brooklyn
A lovely experience overall and my second time at Brooklyn High Low. We got the "classic" set, and it's definitely a great deal at 8 sandwich triangles, 1 biscuit sized scone, and 1 dessert set per person, plus bottomless black tea that was absolutely delicious, all for about $50 per person. The service was wonderful and attentive. The staff were all extremely friendly and of course the decorations and atmosphere were incredible as well. I would highly recommend this to celebrate something special or for a cute intimate date.
Great and friendly service by the waitresses, I had wanted
Great and friendly service by the waitresses, I had wanted to love the tea experience but didn't have a great time aside from the great company I had. There was a big group of us, each ordering the Grand Vanderbilt ($60/PP) which came out to around $75/PP with tip and tax. We were served a pot of tea with unlimited refills, scones, lots of tea sandwiches, along with desserts and chocolate covered strawberries to end the meal. The scones were good but the tea sandwiches had fell very flat. There was nothing super special about the sandwiches and reminded me a bit of high school lunch. At a certain point, there was just so much bread, we all had our own little graveyard of sandwich remains. Just hope that the sandwiches are a bit more thoughtful going forward, for the price, unfortunately I will not be back.
A very cute experience, friendly staff, and tasty tea
A very cute experience, friendly staff, and tasty tea sandwiches and dessert! We made a reservation and the outside garden was only available but they have heating lamps and give you blankets which was helpful because we went on a very cold day. It is covered so that helped with blocking wind. We chose the Vanderbilt package and it was the perfect amount for the two of us! We really liked their chocolate mousse and the tea sandwiches! Definitely worth the experience and a perfect date idea!!
A wonderfully charming way to end a holiday season.
While this delightful Brooklyn brownstone might be reminiscent of your grandmother's house, that is also what makes it special. You are greeted by a hostess and then welcomed by your "tea server" who takes your order (had you not pre- selected from the numerous teas) and ensures you get the perfect pot of tea. Then your "server" appears with a delightful selection of tea sandwiches (yes crust removed) and a scone for each, complete with jam and clotted cream, my favorite. My friend and I were there just for the experience, but others were celebrating birthdays and engagements.
As a seasoned, long-time partaker of afternoon tea, I find
As a seasoned, long-time partaker of afternoon tea, I find The Brooklyn High Low wanting. First, there are a barrage of DOs and DON'Ts in making a reservation. At the appointed time you will find yourself facing a time limit. Afternoon tea is meant to be savored, not consumed in X number of minutes. The scone was inauthentic... more like a concrete biscuit and the jam and cream served with it not sufficient. Lastly, for the amount of food presented, there's no value in the cost. I won't be returning to this establishment for sure.
pricy but large selection of teas, and nice

I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

You should probably cancel prior to the cancellation date per the cancellation policy. I would imagine you would only get reimbursed for a sold listing if you happen to be charged?

My first sale took about a week. But as the other commenter said stay ontop of your cancellation windows. There’s no reimbursement for those so make sure you cancel in time then just try again.
