Great lunch place!
I have been to Cafe 6855 several times in the past few months and each time has been a great experience. The sandwiches are large (enough for me to take half home!) and delicious. Service is good and very friendly.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for breakfast & lunch
Iโve been here a couple of times & the food is consistently good, the service is terrific, the atmosphere is fun & relaxing, and the location is convenient in the north valley. The club sandwich plate is hugeโฆdefinitely 2 meals for me. The French toast is wonderful. They have a lovely outdoor courtyard w/heaters if youโre worried about eating inside during these COVID times. I definitely recommend giving this one a try.

My wife and I stopped here on a whim, with little expectation. We found a limited luncheon menu, just a handful of options. We chose fresh-dip sandwiches. They arrived promptly and were quite flavorful. And they were so large that both of us wound up taking half of our portions home for later.

The minute we walked into Cafe 6855, we knew it was going to be great. The restaurant doesn't take reservations, but our hostess came out and said, "because we don't want to overload our staff we are going to ask you to wait for 15 minutes." Fifteen minutes later we were taken to our table. (We didn't have to wait at a table wondering where our server was.) You know that things will be good when everything works together - the food, the service, the well-trained staff who didn't need to be asked to bring more water but took it upon themselves to refill the glasses. Our server, Vanessa, knew the menu and made great suggestions about the food and the drinks. When Venessa got backed up, Emma came out to help her. Tyrell, our bus boy refilled my coffee without being asked. Kim, VP of Operations was there to check that things were going well. An added bonus was having Calvin Appleberry playing music. We will definitely be back and bring friends with us.

Came for lunch on a Monday. There were only a couple occupied tables and a few people sitting at the bar. Service was not good. One waitress on-duty and she spent more time behind the bar (and eating) than checking on the dining room occupants. Food was very good, except for the excessive amount of velveeta type melted cheese that overwhelmed an otherwise excellent rib eye sandwich.

Recommended to us by our doctor in Santa Fe and the lunch was GOOD. Located in a funky plaza off 4th St in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Adjacent to and part of Vernon's steakhouse. We had a Cuban with fries and a French dip with potato salad. Wonderful. Both big enough to share. Recommend you give it a try.

Everything is delicous! It's sad that it is never busy because all of the food and drinks are to die for. The enchiladas and green chili burger are astounding. I even got a side of truffle fries because I couldn't resist. Come one come all!

Restaurant had a beautiful makeover. Took a while before the wait person came into the room, but afterwards we were not ignored. The food is great, and thankfully the menu isn't very extensive. A good place for business lunches.
Be the first to ReplyA date with Al Capone
Visited this cafรฉ with a group of 20 plus travellers for lunch and were shown in to the Al Capone room which has some extraordinary murals on the walls depicting the life and times of Big Al We had all pre-ordered our meals which arrived pretty quickly and I soon got stuck into my Shrimp and Spaghetti dish wish was sumptuous and to use a term our American cousins might not be familiar with particularly 'lush!' The Italian guests in the group also expressed admiration for the excellent espresso which the server happily rustled up at short notice All in all good food, good service and an excellent choice for lunch by our hosts

My daughter, wife and I went to Vernon's Speakeasy (Cafรฉ 6855) for brunch on Father's Day. My wife had gone online to look at the menu and it looked reasonable, nothing out of the ordinary for brunch or typical breakfast menus and pricing. However, when we arrived we were presented with menus that were in effect double the pricing (fixed at $25 for standard breakfast items). just imagine if you will, paying $25 for a Belgian waffle, or a burrito, or juevos?! I had the Belgian waffle and it supposedly came with a fruit compote - I compare the compote with watered down raspberry jam. The whipped cream that came with it tasted like a packaged marshmallow although the texture was similar to whipped cream. My daughter's omlet was nothing out of the ordinary for a Denny's for example, was also $25. While my wife's rolled enchiladas were tasty, they weren't any better than the $7- $10 enchiladas found almost anywhere in NM - they were also $25! This will be the last time I go to Vernon's Speakeasy - I don't like being exploited simply because it is Father's Day!
