not my favorite fine dining in the parks but still an unique experience. mirrored after the theater in which walt premiered the first ever color animated film- snow white and the 7 dwarfs, the theater offers multiple dining rooms and even an outdoor patio overlooking the DCA fountain plaza. it's the luck of the draw to find out where you're placed. initially we thought the main dining room would be great, but it felt like there is some venting issues where the vent was making a loud airplane turbine noise the entire time, i can't imagine sitting through that the entire meal. we were off to maybe what's considered the oscars room? adjacent to the patio. it was nice but there's no sense of privacy as every conversation echoes through the room. food was ok- salmon and rice was a little undercooked. the parker house roll and the mickey hazelnut pop tho, will definitely come back for those. drinks were ok, albeit the full bar. again, still a nice experience.
Be the first to Reply$16 for two meatballs? Get over yourself guys.
I know your Disney and I know you're in LA but you're going too far with us. Eight dollars a meatball is ridiculous anywhere
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance is great, service is fantastic, food.
..not great. Ordered the thick-cut porkchop and it was horribly dry. Very disappointed considering that it's their signature dish.

Our server tonight was Scotty definitely the best party of this experience. We ordered the fried shrimp for appetizer which was the perfect balance of savory and spicy. For entrees we ordered the pork chop and lamb chop. Both were mediocre and very heavy tastes of orange zest, to the point of I could only taste orange peel on both entrees. We had tiramisu for dessert. Tequila daisy, an old fashion and Pinot noir for alcoholic beverages. The overall food/alcoholic beverages quality and taste was a two star. Five stars for our server Scotty.
Be the first to ReplyRestaurant located inside the California Adventure park
Restaurant located inside the California Adventure park that has an elegant, sophisticated and classical with a magical touch of Disney. This is a place where you can relax and take a break from the chaos of the crowds and park. The seats near the entrance are round tables so it can be very tight if you have more than three people in your group with all the drinks, foods and silverwares. Other than that, the service is excellent as the server does not only do a great job serving the foods but also gives fun facts about Walt Disney and the restaurant. "Eat with your eyes first" is a perfect fit for their presentation. Every dishes are an art and it carries to the flavors. The food selection can be quite unique since they use ingredients that you don't usually have it together or not at all but trust me, it works beautifully. The flavors bursts in your mouth and everything is balanced so well.
Be the first to ReplyService is terrible.
Server Danny kept us waiting for 15 minutes. The table next to us just got seated and their server is already telling the them today's special. It was so nice of her to help our table. Thank you, Megan. I asked Danny for hot water. This is what I got - iced water. Hot water came 40 minutes later after we reminded him. Along with appetizers. But bread is still not here. Later on, the supervisor apologized on behalf of Danny. I don't think she needed to. Danny had plenty of time to chat up a storm with the table next to us about travels to Europe. He was so loud that our table could not even carry on a conversation about what to order. Two other staff had to apologize on his behalf. This is a failure of one person's poor attitude that's affected the whole team. Gave me a miserable birthday dinner. Completely opposite of all the other Disneyland experiences we've had. Much like another reviewer said. Can't help but think discrimination.
Be the first to ReplyThis was such a great experience.
My girlfriends and I came here to celebrate someone's birthday. We had reservations for 5 but 6 girls actually ended up coming. We told the server of the situation and said they will see what they can do. The host accommodated our group of 6. On top of that, the service here is top notch. I didn't eat that much bc I got the sip and savor prior. But I'd def come back to try their other drinks and food!
Be the first to ReplyLoved the ambience, quiet and relaxing.
Small plates all around. Favorite dish was the one I didn't think I wanted which was the salad. Very little arugula, and lots of other ingredients. Service was spot on. Very attentive. Wouldn't come here with the kids based on the price point.

Finally got a reservation for dinner, food was delicious, had the 16oz pork chop and it was perfect. Even better than the food was our server Holly from Chino,Ca. She made our dinner nearly magical and set the bar for others to follow. Wish I wasn't so full and had room for desert but then that gives me an excuse for next time.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful & lovely restaurant in DCA.
Loved all the interior decors and the chandelier. All the staffs were great, excellent service. The food were amazing, everything turned out delicious. It was a great celebration dinner at Carthay Circle with my husband.
Be the first to ReplyIn Disney California Adventure, the Carthay Circle
In Disney California Adventure, the Carthay Circle Restaurant is one of the best places to eat. The elegant decor and atmosphere of the restaurant make you think of the Golden Age of Hollywood and movies. The food at Carthay Circle Restaurant is a tasty mix of modern Californian food and food from around the world. The "Fire Cracker Duck Wings" is a standout dish. The wings are spicy and crispy, with a sweet and tangy sauce to dip them in. For the main course, I highly recommend the "Braised Beef Short Ribs." They are soft and juicy and come with mashed potatoes and a mix of seasonal vegetables. The dish is tasty and filling; any meat lover will surely like it.The "World of Color Dining Package" is one of the best things about the Carthay Circle Restaurant. This package includes a three-course meal, a better spot to watch the popular "World of Color" water and light show, and a special dessert only available with this package. It's a great way to spend an evening remembering the restaurant and the show. There are also several vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, such as the "Grilled Impossible Burger," which is a tasty plant-based burger with all the fixings.
Be the first to ReplyI really love the decor and feel of this restaurant.
I watch too much Bar Rescue...My bartender Marty didn't wash his hands and touched money!!!!!!!!! He then went in the back for 2 seconds and then wiped his dirty hand on his uniform. The then peeled an orange and then made a drink with the money dirty hand UGGGHHH. Thankfully a really nice couple next to me helped me calm down and I just took my food to go. Now I don't want to eat it and want to throw it away. I spent a lot too!!!!! Super regret not making a stink. PLEASE WASH YOUR HANDS PROPERLY. People can get really sick.Photos I took were pretty cool.
Be the first to ReplyVery mediocre food and tiny portions.
The interior (upstairs, at least) is dated and tired and the whole vibe was just a downer. I'd avoid it.

We always go to Disneyland/DCA for my birthday almost every year, and this is where we always end up for dinner! Carthay circle has a beautiful setting! Food and drinks are delicious and service is great! The menu rotates but the most recent visit, I picked the seared ahi and it hit the spot! Would come back here again!
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service were amazing.
Everyone was very courteous from the hostess to the waitress. I ordered the Braised beef with cavatelli pasta and it was spectacular. Meat was tender and juicy and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The inside decor was very beautiful from the warm dark wood booths to the beautifully painted ceiling. We loved every minute we were in there. Every Disneyland trip will now have to end with dinner here.

Treated my picky sister to dinner here for her birthday and we loved it! We tried their warm bread rolls, mashed potatoes, roasted chicken, pasta, and everything was good. It's pricey, so I would only dine here for special occassions.

This was the most fanciest dinner I've ever had at Disneyland, my boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary. Carthay was recommend to me by a coworker and she advised me to make a reservation 60 days before my park reservation and to make it at 6am. I woke up early and didn't have any issues making it. Our experience with Carthay was worth waking up early to make the reservation!Once I checked into the restaurant, we waited outside for less than 5 minutes until my name was called. The host gave us the history of Carthay and was telling us the stories behind each picture on the walls. The service at Carthay was wonderful, the hosts and our waiter were very friendly. The food was amazing! The menu changes each season, and each dish was very unique. We ordered the steamed black mussels and shrimp. It came with a green pepper broth that I loved. The seafood was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend enjoyed his pork shank but he said that it was missing something. He asked for more of the sauce that came with the bread, and he ate it with the pork shank and loved it. We also had a side of mashed potatoes that were really nice and creamy. I ordered the tender braised beef with cavatelli pasta. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the beef was flavorful. The pasta also came with bits of mushroom.Lastly, the dessert was so yummy. We were both full so we decided to share the yuzu tart. It's topped with meringue and had bits of citrus fruit on the side. I love yuzu so the dessert was my favorite part.I would could back again, albeit for a special occasion because it is pretty pricey.

What a Disney spot! Fabulous place to hangout and have a drink. You need a reservation but you can usually get it day of. We had the duck soup. It wasn't Donald... thankfully! It was SOO dang good. So much duck. So ducking delicious! Lettuce wraps aren't bad at all... with pineapple salsa! Sit at the bar and have a delightful time. The lighting is perfect and the decor is enchanting!
Be the first to ReplyThis was my first time at a Disneyland restaurant and it
This was my first time at a Disneyland restaurant and it met my expectations; that it's a fine-dining experience that just happens to be in California Adventure. While nothing truly wow'd me enough to earn 5 stars, you won't be disappointed.Me and my girlfriend booked months in advance as our anniversary dinner, and the hosts were quick to check us in without any issues and guided us to the second floor. One thing I enjoyed is how quiet it was; it was nice getting away from the noise of the park.Service was excellent, as you would expect from Disney and fine-dining. Our host told us the history of the place and our waiter was as charming as should be. Truly the magic behind Disney is their passionate workers and you should compliment them using the Disneyland app whenever possible. The food and drinks are honestly the least important in this review for me. Whatever you order will be great as long as it's something you enjoy. However, I will give a special mention to the spicy tomato-based sauce for the cheddar bread. You can ask for more if you're like me and put it on your pork chop.If you have a reservation for this restaurant, don't fret over the details and enjoy yourself; this is what you expect it to be. Personally for me however, it was nothing more or less than the best I expected.

This place is gorgeous inside! My boyfriend and I had dinner and we were very very very unimpressed. The Brussels sprouts were super wet and not crispy. They tasted alright but were soaked. Apparently they have a secret vegetarian menu and I had the gnocchi. It was awful. I tried to eat as much as I could but it tasted so blah and I could only eat about half before I thought I was going to be sick. His chicken was mediocre and nothing special. It's nice that we can check this place off our list, and we probably won't come back.
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was relatively okay.
We were seated downstairs, which I'm assuming is where they put families with children. Upstairs was way nicer. I did like how it felt very warm, cozy, and homey. A nice change from the chaos outside. Ordered espresso martinis off the menu and they were delicious. I would definitely give our server 5+ stars. He was sooo freakin nice and friendly. FOOD:What we're all really here for. Kinda sucked that the dishes on most recommended on Yelp weren't available. We really wanted to try the pork chops and steak, but they only had chicken and salmon dishes available. I can't remember what the names were of each dish but we got the pork baos, Vietnamese beef lettuce wraps, and shared a Mediterranean-esque chicken entree. The starters were surprisingly decent but the entree was bland. We were told we were lucky to be dining there since getting reservations and a table is difficult. Not exactly worth the hype for me. Maybe we went during a menu that didn't really suit our palettes. My sons quesadilla was delicious though lol.
Be the first to ReplyOh Disney, the updated DisneyLand App is absolutely
Oh Disney, the updated DisneyLand App is absolutely horrible! We've had nothing but bad experiences with the new app after the pandemic. The lightning lane changes and the genie+ is an obvious money grab, and when we have problems in the park, it seems Disney's new modo is to have their cast members shrug and not give the power to make it right anymore. For Carthay Circle we made a walk up reservation at 3:47pm for a supposed 15 minute wait. The app is supposed to send you a notification and a text message when your table is available.1. We never received a notification. 2. The app supposedly updated our wait time for us on the new "Tip board" however, it said a 5 minute wait for over 20 minutes. 3. When we went to reception and inquired, they couldn't give a reason why the app never notified us and the text was never sent. So they tell us, oh sorry, I think we can get you back in the queue. So we stand-by waiting. A group of 4 walks up, says they don't have a reservation and aren't on the walk up list and get seated immediately. OK, that's weird. A few minutes later, they take the 2 of us and try to seat us at a 4 top in the lounge with 2 other people already sitting there with drinks. There were two other tables open including a 2 top. So we asked if we could be seated at the 2 top. We had already done the awkward shared table experience at Oga's in Star Wars Land in the past and were not about to do that again. After a few minutes the host returned and said it would be fine. So we finally got sat at 5:19pm, nearly 75 minutes after we expected to be sat. Lesson learned: if you are given and estimated time, show up at the host podium at that time. Do not rely on the app or the text when it's ready feature. Once we got sat in the lounge the service was fine the drinks were good and the food looked decent. If it wasn't such a bad wait list experience it would be a solid 4 stars, maybe 5 stars. The ambiance is spectacular old school. I look forward to giving them another try but won't trust the walk up notifications.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful experience.
Great atmosphere. Food and service amazing Braised Lamb Cavatelli Steakhouse
Be the first to ReplyI'm not quite sure where to start.
The food was excellent. Like really excellent- not just Disney excellent. We had the lamb pasta and the rib eye. Really really good. The drinks were also to die for. But I'm burying the lede. Our server Mike was so fantastic. We came in close to close and we're chatting with him a bit and asked for the 'hidden gems' in California Adventure. He asked for time to think on it, but at the end of our meal escorted us to the very best viewing place for the fireworks. So touching and so special. Disney magic is real, my friends. And Mike, if you ever see this, please know it was a gesture we will always remember. Thank you, sir!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was delicious and so were the drinks.
But like any other fine dining establishment it would be better without the crying children. It's dinner time and they should be asleep not staying up waiting for their parents to finish their drinks.
