Excellent Dinner
Ate here last night on a business trip. The food was honestly the best that I’ve had in Las Vegas. From the moment we were welcomed in by our waitress Nancy we felt completely at home . We started off with a hot bowl of nacho crisps and salsa which was excellent . I then had the grilled salmon and my business partner had the fajitas . Both were fresh and absolutely brilliant. Finished off with an incredible milk cake with condensed milk. Could not default to place and would recommend it to anybody visiting Las Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, good service. Get some tres leches cake!
Calvin took care of us, he was attentive and offered great recommendations! We got the aguacate taquitos (if you don’t order these you’re missing out, so delicious!) we also had the chile relleno, even though it’s a light dish they are very generous with the filling which is also delightful. I’m born and raised in México and the tres leches cake is literally the best I’ve ever had in my life. Make sure to get you a slice, we’re going back in a few weeks and we’re already planning on visiting again just for this cake😋🍰 The only reason why I’m giving it a 4 star experience is because the music is obnoxiously loud, my fiancée and I could barely hear each other. I get that maybe that’s the vibe they’re going for but just an fyi for everyone else visiting. The music selection was also, odd…

I had a great lunch and drink here while staying at the hotel. The staff was excellent. Although they did try to give me someone else's meal, this one had shrimp and I am deathly allergic to shellfish, they realized their mistake right away and corrected the issue. I would definitely eat here again.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Mexican food. A do not miss restaurant.
Absolutely stunning Mexican food. The chicken quesadilla is the best I've ever had. Margaritas are great, chips and salsa amazing. Truly a great restaurant. So good, we went back for lunch the next day.
Be the first to ReplyJust Fine
I was staying in the hotel so ate here the first night. It was fine. the food was fine. the service was fine. The drink was good but expensive, so on balance just fine. Nothing stood out in either direction. One of my colleagues said the tacos at the taqueria across the street (behind the white castle) were excellent. Perhaps go there instead.
Be the first to ReplyThe Best Part of our Stay at the Hotel! Hands down....
We did not have high expectations about the food when we showed up. It was Mexican food, we love Mexican food. It was busy, hoping that was a good sign. We were seated right away, the wait staff was great and attentive, I ordered the 3 taco combo with one fish, one shrimp, and one chicken with rice and beans. My husband got the chicken enchilada plate with all rice (no beans). While we waited, we snacked on the warm fresh tortilla chips and their really yummy and smokey salsa. It had the perfect "kick" to it. The food was so tasty! Everything was so flavorful. And really nice portion sizes for the price. They had a jam-packed bar and everyone seemed to really be enjoying themselves, their drinks, and their food. We ended up going back the next day and ordering new things on the menu that were equally as good. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
Be the first to ReplyNice Brunch
We tried here the first day after arrival. Wanted to watch one of the NFL playoff games and have a drink and snack. Sat at the bar and ask to have the game shown...that took almost 15 minutes of asking. The house margarita was good as was the chips and salsa. The queso was a little heavy. Went back a couple days later and had brunch. That was a much better experience. The shrimp and asada tacos were really really good.

Be the first to ReplyMexican food at the station
We were looking for Mexican food close to us. It was at a station casino. Food was good not quite authentic but good. We had a combination where you pick two or three items, the chili relleno was excellent. A sizzling fajita and enchiladas. A cucumber pineapple margarita finished it. We got a coupon when we signed up for a card which was very nice

popped in for a quick lunch upon arrival. Great beer, margaritas and delicious tacos. Very friendly staff overall.

Miguel Robledo Jr manages this cool ass spot, bet you will never forget the cocktails and the art, stop by for happy hour you will not be disappointed, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday! Oh yeah did I mention taco Tuesday? Go get it girl!
Be the first to ReplyGood food and staff
Might be the best thing about the Virgin Hilton! Richard Branson needs to come check on the use of his VIRGIN here because it is not up to par with his other businesses.
Be the first to ReplyService was underwhelming
I was seated quickly. The salsa was very tasty. I ordered a beer, i never saw server again for 40 minutes. I flagged down the manager after about 15 minutes. She took my order. The fish tacos were delicious
Be the first to ReplyHappy Hour is a MUST!!!! food delicious
Their happy hour is outstanding!!!! Awesome prices, sit at the bar to get great service. We ordered a little bit of everything, loved it so much we went back another night.
Be the first to ReplyGreat American tacos
We enjoy this new taco restaurant in the Virgin Hotel (formerly the HardRock)
Taco Tuesday has happy hour from 3PM.
$3 tacos are beef, chicken or carnitas. $5 choices are shrimp or mahi mahi. We tried them all - beautiful prsentation and delicious.
Margaritas are on special too. $7, or double size for double.
With atypical staffing shortages, we sat at the bar and were well looked after by Irwin.
Very good lunch
My wife and I went out of our way to try this new place prior to some shopping. All of the dishes and cocktails were very good. Not too busy and a bit out of the way from The Strip, however, we enjoyed the meal.
Be the first to ReplyFive Star meal
The fish tacos were very good and presentation was nice, but the star of the show was the tres leches cake. Outstanding! The staff were attentive and the decor is really nice. I will definitely go back again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Night Out
We chose to have dinner at the Casa Calavera due to it being located in the hotel where we were staying. This is a very comfortable restaurant, and the staff are great. Juliana in particular was a wonderful server, being attentive and patient.
The food was great, the music perfect. Really, this restaurant is a great place to spend an evening in Las Vegas.
Inexperienced staff
The hotel and restaurant is gorgeous. I went for lunch on a Sunday and sat at the bar. The service by the bartenders was poor. They were young and didn't seem to have experience. They were too casual. They spoke to me and others around me as if we were riding an elevator together, not how you would interact with a customer. Clearly their first jobs in hospitality. Once orders were taken, they wouldn't return to check in or close out the ticket. The food was very good, but nothing particularly special. Service by the food runners was friendly and efficient. If I return, I'll sit at a table where the wait staff may be more experienced and professional.
Be the first to ReplyAverage Food, Strip pricing
Pros: Drinks were strong and tasty. Interior decor was fun and unique. Server was friendly. Unlimited chips and salsa refills.
Cons: The food tasted bland. Not better than any other Mexican restaurant in Vegas. Strip prices too despite being off Strip. Chips were from a bag and not made fresh in-house, weren’t warm. Not that authentic.
Verdict: Tried it. Probably won’t go back. There are better options if you venture outside of the Strip.
A great contemporary Mexican restaurant option located in the Virgin Hotel
Casa Calavera is located where the old "Pink Taco" restaurant used to reside. This is a pretty nice upgrade overall...
Service & Ambiance: There's a very cool dios de los muertos theme going on through the restaurant in the decor and murals throughout. It's a contemporary Mexican cantina feel that makes for a fun dining environment. Our server was so helpful with the menu and was full of high energy and vibes. The kitchen got our dishes to the table quickly.
Hisbiscus Margarita: Agave, lime, Patron reposado, hibiscus makes for a very refreshing progressive margarita
Ahi Tuna Tostada: The Ahi Tuna was fresh to make a great tostada appetizer
Chicken Taquitos: The are 5 tasty taquitos that could technically be an entrée if you order for it yourself.
La Quesadilla: This chicken is appetizer sized and came out a little soggy, but still yum
Pomegranate Jicama Guac: Green Apple, mint makes for a creative and delish guacamole.
Chiptotle Bacon Guac: Chorizo, adobo, cotija cheese and the bacon strips added to the guac dip is a treat.
Elotes: The classic street corn comes served with a stick so you can take it down like a popsicle. I love the cheese corn combo.
Chicken Enchiladas: The chicken was juicy and the red sauce was on point. This is a delish order for enchilada peeps like myself
Coconut Tres Leches Cake: This cake is stacked high and the coconut and milk dessert was fantastic.
The service and dishes makes for a nice contemporary Mexican dining experience inside the Virgin Hotel. The guacamole dips were my favorite and I look forward to future visits. Enjoy!
Average Spot
Drinks were good. Food was good. Atmosphere was fine. Service was okay. 2 drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 dinners $100. Not too bad for a resort property. They did not have the flavored margarita that was on their menu that I wanted to try. “They ran out” 🤔 This place just opened less than a week ago & they had just opened for the day as well. Strange. I have eaten my way all through Vegas & this place just lacked “anything special” 😐 It was very Average.
