Sadly disappoiting
Sadly disappointing. Ridiculously small portions (the ravioli bianco e nero literally has 4 raviollis in a dish), poor service, totally forgettable food. As with many other places in Miami, pretentious but seriously lacking in quality. Stay away

This is one of the best restaurants in Miami. Everything here is amazing. The rigatoni a La vodka is the best I ever had! Amazing food and service in the best neighborhood in Miami!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Experience!
My husband and I dined at Casa Isola for dinner and had a great experience! Every employee greeted us with a smile and the service was impeccable. We split a salad and tried two pasta dishes, everything was delicious. We canโt wait to go back on our next trip to Miami!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic food, forgettable service
Hard to find little spot. They lost our reservation but found us a table quickly. Before dinner, I ordered an Americano cocktail from the menu since they don't have hard liquor and got...a coffee. They were out of the wine we ordered. Lots of communication problems. But the food was great. Linguini with clams nicely done, fresh seafood.

OMG. There are no words. Everything was amazing. You can taste how fresh and housemade everything is! A special thank you to Santo for making my birthday so amazing!!! Absolutely perfect night.
Be the first to ReplyCasa Isola - a DISAPPOINTING "Average" Italian restaurant
Located in the Sunset Harbor section of Miami Beach, CASA ISOLA is located along 20th Street, Bay Road, Sunset Harbour Drive along with numerous other side-by-side restaurants. The Summary of my review is: Ambiance - poor Service - average Food - average (at best) Overall - disappointing We had never been before, and booked a table for a recent weekend dinner, and sampled/experienced the following: Ambiance - poor; restaurant is located well-below street level in a flood-prone section of Miami Beach. The restaurant interior is tiny & dark; we sat on their immediately below the street outdoor section -- the outdoor section was small, cramped, had uncomfortable seats/seating, and (the fatal flaw) was a strong unpleasant aroma of car fumes/exhaust and/or exhaust from Kohler street pumps (installed for flood control) -- a BAD AROMA is BAD for outdoor restaurant dinning Food items - Drinks (beer and wine only) - Bellini cocktail - sour, bitter taste of prosecco only (No discernible "peach" flavor) Moscato (by the glass) - mediocre Food Fried calamari - served hot, crispy, and made-to-order - overly breaded, and served with mouth-on-fire Calabrian chili sauce and a basil aioli (a simple tomato sauce would have been better) Mushroom pasta (Mafalde Al Funghi) - very disappointing; tasted like pasta noodles in strongly flavored cream-of-mushroom soup; very very few fresh mushrooms to be seen with this entree Sunday Sauce ($46) - average-at-best; disappointing as: (1) advertised as "8 hours cooking time -and- limited quantities only" (2) among the very most expensive menu items (3) under-delivered in "sauce" quality: single Meatball - good (but not great); single Sausage - average at best; single pork rib - pedestrian average; Red sauce - "okay" with fresh basil, but nothing special; Rigatoni (al dente) - slightly unpleasantly chewy Discouraged, we did not try any desserts. While I'd much rather have glowing comments to make, Casa Isola was disappointing. While mush of what we tried was "average" (at best), I had certainly hoped for better.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Italian meal
We did a lot of restaurant research, so ate well while in Miami. That said, this was the best meal. Exceptional pasta, the service was good, and while some have complained about liquor...they were serving wine, so we were very happy!
Also, very cute setting...cuter than looks in the pics.
Highly recommend.
Great Place
Great place, the best rigatoni a la vodka I ever try, very good service, and fair prices , the drinks were ok, and the dessert amazing

Arrived for our reservation for 4 , made on Open Table more than 6 weeks ago. We were looking forward to eating there from it's good reviews and recommendations from friends. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a maskless host, D.J. He told us our table was ready - and proceeded to take us outside... it was a hot, steamy, humid. 90 -something degree Miami night and I told him we wanted inside. We did not request outside. There were several open tables, which I pointed out to him. D.J. said these all have reservations... I told him we also had a reservation, made a long time ago.. He rudely told us it was outside or nothing. Perhaps Open Table reservations were not important to him. As a group of 4 locals who eat out very, very often and very well, they should have been. By the way - no evidence of covid precautions - no masks servers or host, tables huddled together in this little, cramped restaurant.
One thing Miami Beach is not lacking is a plethora of good restaurants, especially in that area.
We left... and stopped by a favorite, a few blocks away, Osteria Morini, where Nick, the excellent manager, gladly made a table for us in his busy restaurant , treated us royally and enjoyed a lovely and delicious dinner with all servers and hosts masked and tables well spaced. Morini was delightful.
Hidden Sauce.
The Sunday sauce dinner is worth the visit. Love this spot. The only downside is that they do not have a liquor license. Hopefully, this will happen for them soon. Great dinner with a taste of Italy.

What a great Night!!
Laura the waitress was great and Amazing, above and beyond. The restaurant is a very authentic Italian food. The chef care about the clients and the food. Good Italian restaurant for Miami Beach.

Welcome addition to Sunset Harbor!
We have been to Casa Isola with friends twice now, and have had excellent food each time. We love sitting outside in the pretty blue and white area the owners have created just off the sidewalk. But the star of the show is the delicious Italian food. Our favorite first course has been the burrata salad, with the loveliest balsamic vinaigrette. Runner-up is the octopus, so tender. As for the pastas, we raved about the rigatoni alla vodka, extremely flavorful. But we have enjoyed them all, including the mushroom ravioli, pasta with clams, one with mussels, one with rabbit. We might add that the sauces are great but so is the homemade pasta; it makes a difference. The menu has been small but apparently changes. The staff is friendly and efficient.
I am looking forward next time to trying the Sunday Sauce, which is meatballs, pork rib and Italian sausage cooked for 8 hours the way Grandma would have made it -- the folks next to us had it and it smelled DELICIOUS. Bravo to the owners of this fine neighborhood spot.
Limited menu and liquor
Good food from the region of Sicily, portions were decnt size, I had the Grilled Octopus with a couple of different sauces it was good my husband had pasta wih coniglio it was good too, The wine list was limited. The Decor inside is nice and inviting.
