Beautiful Property With Gourmet Food
Italy’s best chef, Massimo, and his wife, Lara, hit a home run with this gorgeous and enchanting boutique hotel. We stayed in the penthouse suite at the top of the main building and it was wonderful: a large room with bedroom, separate living room and staircase to yet another top floor. The bathroom was also quite large and accommodating. We even got to enjoy some of Massimo’s large record collection since the room was equipped within a stereo and turntable and Klipsch speakers. What fun! And then there’s the food: we ate at one of the restaurants on the property, Al Gatto Verde, the first night and dined at his restaurant in Modena, Osteria Fransecana, on day two. Both spectacular. The entire staff at CML was incredible, handling every request with a smile. Breakfasts were different than the usual buffet but the food was well prepared and included lots of fruit and vegetables from the property’s gardens. The entire experience is like being in a country family estate. It made it all the more pleasant to interact with Massimo and his daughter, Alexa. While traveling across Italy, we always pick a place we have never been and CML was it. We will be back for sure.
A unique experience
A unique experience. For a foodie to eat at Massimo Bottura restaurant has been on the bucket list for a long time. When going to Modena it was the obvious choice sadly to discover it was fully booked. Luckily we discovered he serves his most iconic dishes in the restaurant at his hotel Casa Maria Luigia. Of course we had to make it the full experience and try both the hotel and the restaurant and what a great choice such a unique experience. We loved the hotel, the rooms, the smell, the service and the food. A hotel with a soul. Beautiful interior design from gucci, a loaded minibar just for you. They have thought about everything In the middle of nowhere but still close to the city center only 15 min cab ride to Modena. A place for total relaxation. All the food served is locally produced they even make their own balsamico, olive oil and honney. You can visit the garden right outside with herbs and vegetables. We were so lucky to met Massimo during the dinner. The dinner at Francescana at Maria Luigia a 9 course tasting with some of the most iconic dishes once served in Osteria Francescana. Breakfast is different from any hotel. You have a tasting menu. Massimo and Lara invite you to to travel back in time. An experience that dates back to his childhood breakfast. There is also a kitchen where you can serve yourself home made snacks, hot and cold drinks. To fully enjoy I recommend to stay 2 nights and to try both his restaurant Francescana at Maria Luigia and Al Gatto Verde.
Absolutely Incredible Dream Resort
This is one of the best run resort hotels we have ever stayed in. You can feel the family warmth the very the minute you walk in the door. We arrived late and they brought us dinner in the “midnight snack kitchen” which was one of the best meals we had in Modena. You can order Massimo’s famous 5 stages of Parmesan ala carte… and it is amazing. They give you a very generous portion. We also got the Culatello (to die for) and tagliatelle with bolognese (amazing). The midnight snack kitchen is such a cool concept. It’s an open kitchen you can “raid” anytime with snacks, waters, tea. Absolutely loved this and it was so unique to anything we have ever seen. Made you really feel at home. The service at the resort was amazing. It was excellent service but also very non invasive. At times, we wondered if there was anyone else there…. But not in a bad way. It felt like you are alone sometimes at someone’s amazing home, fully stocked with snacks, drinks and anything you want. The breakfast is otherworldly. I don’t know how I will ever eat a breakfast anywhere in the world that will compare to the breakfast at Casa Maria Luigia. It is a multi-course flow of the breakfast of my dreams. First, they bring you the best quiche in the world in two flavors with some Parmesan, roasted fruit and veg. Then, homemade sausage with egg (foam?) on an almond (cookie?) with balsamic. Then they finish with “sweets” - focaccia in two flavors, a cinnamon bun and one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had in my life. IT WAS AMAZING. Best breakfast I have ever had. Hands down. Case closed. There are two restaurants on property - Francescana and Al Gatto Verde. We ate at Francescana. It was an amazing experience but overall honestly a teeny bit disappointing. Stand out dishes for us were the Parmesan 5 ways, the oops I dropped the lemon Tarte and the Asian pasta. The wine paring felt a little sloppy - multiple dishes were missing a new wine, which I thought was odd for a Michelin restaurant. The “show” was fun. The manager Erika is SO lovely and one of the best hotel/restaurant managers that we’ve encountered. She is a rock star. She went over and above to make everyone feel welcome and her overview of the food during the dinner was stellar. Massimo’s family is in every aspect of the resort. His daughter, Alexa, was at breakfast every day welcoming guests, waiting tables and working very hard to make sure everyone was fed and having a good start to the day. Her cousin, Quinn, was there for the summer and waiting tables at breakfast. He was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with him every day. Massimo’s wife, Lara, walks around - usually breezing by with flowers - greeting guests and chatting. Everyone is SO welcoming. The resort is beautifully decorated. The upholstery and wallpaper is all Gucci and GORGEOUS. Even the room keys and coasters are designed by Gucci. The attention to detail is incredible. We heard that Lara does the decoration and wow it is absolutely stunning. There is a feature on property called the “Playground” which is just so cool. It is a large space with exotic cars, art and quirky details. The gym is also located in the Playground and is set up very well for vacation workouts (which you need after all of the delicious food). We have already booked a return visit in the 3 BR villa with friends in May and we cannot wait to return. There is something about Modena overall that we just love - the size of the city, the lack of crowds, the food - and now Casa Maria Luigia also has a hold on us. Until May, I will be dreaming about that breakfast!
Absolutely amazing in every way
I had very high expectations of my stay here, and they were exceeded in every way. The "casa" and grounds are thoughtfully designed and well maintained. There is artwork everywhere, and there are several beautifully decorated and curated common areas. There is a small guest kitchen area in the main house where guests may help themselves to delicious snacks that are replenished throughout the day. I stayed in a "festina lente comfort" room in a new building that just opened in Spring 2025. It was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and a sitting area with two comfortable, stylish arm chairs. There are gardens to roam around and two pools on the property as well as an art gallery and two restaurants. It was a little unnerving to book and pay for an non-refundable room + dinner far in advance (you never know what might happen to have to cancel a trip). Dinner at Francescana CML was wonderful, of course. Seating is communal at tables for 6 - 8. Massimo appeared at the end of the evening after having presumably spent the day working at Osteria Francescana. He went around the dining room and spoke to everyone. What a lovely man. Lara greeted guests the following morning at breakfast. Massimo and Lara have created something wonderful here. You will not be disappointed.
Art and luxury
Lovely interior design. Amazing art pieces and ultra luxury cars private collections. Great breakfast and dinner in two restaurants including one Michelin starred. Very friendly staff who truly love the brand with passion. Will come back for sure!

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely grounds, friendly staff. But breakfast buffet rather boring. Not much flavor. Best part were the chocolate chip cookies. Interesting to learn about the history and making of balsamic but didnt care for the vinegars produced there.
My husband and I are big foodies and had heard great things
My husband and I are big foodies and had heard great things about visiting this place. Two months ago we booked a night at the Casa Maria Luigia along with dinner/beverage pairing at Francescana at Maria Luigia as part of a larger trip to Italy from the US. Fast forward 2 months and I am 7 weeks pregnant, sick with the flu (fever/vomiting), and barely able to get to the place (train+taxi) let alone enjoy it. We arrived and let the staff know that only my husband would join for the dinner and that I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to get others sick. Obviously the pregnancy and illness aren't their fault and the terms of the sale indicated it was non-refundable. However, at fine dining establishments in the US they've often had a clause for illness or other reasons to adjust the reservation - I consider this to be a part of great customer service. Considering we paid nearly 2,000 euros for this experience, I was surprised they wouldn't even refund my wine pairing (170 euros) as even if I wasn't sick, I wouldn't have been able to partake in it due to pregnancy. They gave us a credit for future use that expires in one year, which is comical since I will still be pregnant or with a newborn for that full year. Obviously they know how to cook here, but the customer service made what was already a tough day (missing my dream foodie experience and being bed-ridden on a beautiful estate) even more frustrating.
Fantastic experience
This is a Relais Chateau hotel near Modena and Bologna that showcases the Michelin 3* cuisine of its owners restaurants. The rooms are unique, spacious and beautiful, with large bathrooms and all needed amenities. Service is friendly and efficient. The visit includes a balsamic vinegar tour and tasting, which was very interesting. There are two restaurants on site. One is fairly new and already has a Michelin * for its innovative cuisine. The other serves the most famous dishes of the owner's 3* restaurant in Modena in a small setting with shared tables. The food was wonderful. The prices do reflect the quality.
Good experience but I’m not sure if I would stay here again!
Not sure if I would return to stay at Casa Maria Luigi’s. The concept is great, but I was expecting better service specially if you are paying to stay here. They suggest a bed and breakfast, but I think they could deliver a better upscale service. Rooms are just OK. They do not serve much, which was our GREATEST disappointment as this is a CHEF’S hotel. I get the “get your food at the kitchen so I can feel at home” , but frustrating because if you are hungry between 12-8… you can get pistachios, almonds and some pastries they leave you at the kitchen. We got back from our visit at Modena and we hoped to have a nice light lunch.. but NOTHING to go to. So just had to wait until dinner. Would have expected a small focaccia or parmigiano or something light but good.. but that all you get!!! In the rooms there’s only water and some beverages, but not even a bag of chips and forget about your second night and having some cheese. The actual room service got us really disappointed… you are literally paying too much and having very very NO personalized attention or forget about a nice drink at the premises. Not really looking forward to staying here again… Art and decoration is good.. but I would rather star somewhere else. Good point about starting here.. BREAKFAST.. that made us happy in the end! Chefs are wonderful!!!
An incredible, magical experience - 5stars not enough!!
This was possibly the most incredible adventure we have ever had, from the incredible hospitality and service from all the staff, to the sumptuous culinary experiences in the restaurant - Francescana at Maria Luigia - as well as the wonderful breakfasts. Do not lie in and miss breakfast!! Al Gatto Verde also not to be missed - do make sure you book. Sadly we missed out on the "set" - getting to Osteria Francescana in Modena - but that's one for our next trip; hopefully later in 2025. It is in a magical romantic setting with Modena a short drive away and even on a bad weather day - you can just relax in your room or within any of the communal rooms downstairs. There is so much to do and see. From the very first welcome, we were made to feel at home and it really was a home from home. The penthouse room was an experience - it was very well-kitted out with a very comfortable bed in a massive 'bedroom'. It could have done with a few more hooks - or just a couple in the bedroom area, as the only wardrobe was in the sitting room, but that was a minor point and in no way detracted from the experience or diminshed the comfort and luxury of the setting. The large bathroom has a nice big bath and shower - good enough for two in both! The veranda was lovely - although we didn't get to really enjoy it because of the weather and the views from the "Penthouse" were good. It was a very "fun" accommodation with so much to offer. We very much enjoyed ourselves during our stay. The grounds are very pretty and although it was a chilly early December , you can just imagine how incredible it would all be on a warm summer's night. It is a magical romantic setting with Modena a short drive away, we shall definitely be back Little touches throughout the whole experience, made it all so special, from the parmigiano waiting for us on arrival and in the room, to the other tasty treats available continually in the kitchen area were a winning combination to make this such an incredibly special experience! We shall be back!
Simply the finest hospitality in the entire world.
Casa Maria Luigia is simply a sublime experience. The grounds of the villa are breathtakingly gorgeous. The art selection was incredible. The rooms were beautiful. And the service amazing. All of these things separate CML from any other hospitality experience. But the food and beverage truly elevates this place as our favorite stay of all time. The brunch was simply the best we've had anywhere in the world. And if you're looking to try some of Osteria Francescana's most beloved dishes through the years, this is obviously the only place to do that. Lara, Massimo, Chef Rosval, and the entire team truly created a magical experience here. I am counting the days until I can return. 10/10
Pure perfection
Everything is made to make you feel at home in this wonderful property. You enter the universe of Chef Massimo Boturra and his wife. The garden is perfect to have a drink and relax. The various salons have beautiful paintings and design pieces of furniture . The rooms are very nicely decorated in the same beautiful style. The dinner with all the iconic dishes of Osteria Francescana is delicious. The service is friendly and we were lucky to have Laura and Massimo dropped by. And last but not least breakfast is out of this world. Best breakfast you will ever have anywhere in the world!

Feels like home
Casa Maria Luigia accomplishes its goal of helping guests feel like they’re vacationing at home. From the delightful welcome gift of fresh Parmigiano Reggiano to deliciously curated snacks in the communal fridge, Casa Maria Luigia and its staff welcome each guest with open arms. Our room was both comfortable and beautiful. The grounds are a little oasis filled with statues and fountains. They’ve created many small seating areas to rest with a book or have a conversation with your partner over a glass of wine. Lastly I’ll mention the breakfast, which was unlike any hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. A mix of savory and sweet foods. Everything was impeccably crafted, and it was served tasting style so we could try every peculiar creation. A truly unforgettable experience!
Heaven in Italian countryside
If you're looking for the perfect coutryside getaway in Emilie-Romagna then don't go anywhere else. Unforgettable experience from all angles, from the amazing breakfast, astounding dinner experience with Jessica's brigade (Osteria Francescana style) and more than cozy art-driven country house rooms. Will go again in the future without any hesitation. Kudos to all the team you deserve it!
Delightful and unique property; owners are very hospitable.
We loved our stay here. The staff are so helpful, the breakfast is excellent, and the owners are truly hospitable. This is a unique experience and while expensive, worth every cent. The parking is convenient self-parking and the grounds are great for a walk. The self-serve pantry and liqueurs are such a nice thing to do. The construction was excellent. We never heard any other guests' telephone calls or TVs, or making any noise. Excellent relaxation -- we slept very well.
Just 5 stars isn’t enough
Just 5 stars isn’t enough! I know this sounds like an exaggeration but the whole experience at Casa Maria Luigia deserves its own category. The food, the rooms, the location, the amenities, the friendly staff, everything was beyond perfect. Chef Massimo set out to make this an unique experience where you feel like you’re ‘at home’ and achieved it how. The inclusive mini bar, communal kitchen and access to every corner of the property makes you wish this truly was your home. My absolute fav part was the breakfast that was inspired but Chef’s grandma’s Christmas breakfast- I think about that meal everyday since! This isn’t your everyday luxury property or a boutique hotel, it’s an experience like none other!
A perfect and unique stay in Emiglia Romagna
This place is amazing! Located just outside of Modena in a perfectly restored old farm turned into a most modern and comfortable dwelling, it goes by one very unique and special philosophy : the owner Massimo Botturo, a Michelin star chef, wants you to feel at home , literally! Our room was actually a very spacious suite of modern design and with interesting artwork from the collection of the owner. The refrigerator, which other hotels would call mini bar and would charge you for every tiny item including water, was in fact like your own fridge with all kinds of drinks and snacks , which were replenished every day. Moreover, there was a communal kitchen, where you could get cheeses, desserts, fruit every day at any time. There was also a music room with a good selection of discs and a “meditation room” with a selection of drinks. The bed was about 50% wider than a regular king size bed!! And all the bed linens , covers and the pillows were super comfortable. I don’t have enough talent to describe the meals there: Everything starting with breakfasts and ending with a huge multi course dinner (which the chef is always present at, giving comments on every single course) was completely out of ordinary in so many respects , including artistic! The property has a recreation area with a beautiful pool and gym and also a mini museum housing the owner’s collection of cars and art. Thank you signor Botturo and of course, signora Botturo for your hospitality and thoughtfulness! We really felt at home.
The best in Modena
Great for everything especially the special breakfast. The whole property is like one private manor with anything which you need to stay and it is the best place to have rest,moreover everyone there is friendly whatever he or she is a stuff or guest.
Incredibly generous hospitality
Our taxi brought us here by mistake, which we only realised once the staff could not find our reservation. Alessandro and his colleagues were incredibly kind and offered us a drink and a tour of the premises before calling us a taxi to take us to the correct hotel. We are very grateful for their hospitality and will absolutely stay here the next time we are in Modena.

What a beautiful renovation in a perfect setting on the outskirts of Modena! Perfecto…just a wonderful gem which my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. Everything is perfectly appointed. The grounds are spectacular as well as all the facilities. Breakfast was subperb

Perfect stay at Casa Maria Luigia. Our 3 bedroom villa was wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoy all the great features of the property. Service and staff was very attentive. Breakfast was great!

Casa Maria Luigia is a bed and breakfast opened up by Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore in the quaint countryside of Modena. This really is the complete food and hospitality experience- with the inn, surrounding grounds, curated menu at Francescana, and exceptional staff making for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My wife and I enjoyed a night at Casa Maria and went YOLO with the amazing penthouse 2-level suite. The accommodations were modern and spacious and the best by far of any of our stays in two weeks in Italy (loved the record player and upstairs sitting room, what nice touches!). The 9+ course dinner (and Emilian breakfast) at Francescana is something dreams are made of, and we were fortunate to have Lara on hand to walk us through such a memorable and delicious gastronomical experience. The dinner itself is family style, which was quite fun, and had an open-kitchen concept which really engaged the diners with the star chefs who were preparing and plating the items. Casa Maria Luigia is a DREAM, and I could not recommend staying there (plus dinner at Francescana) any more when passing through Modena, Italy!
Allora! Warning: LONG post ahead.
.. Have you ever felt the joy of when your expectations were surpassed by reality? My elation may have been beyond that . Though the memories and emotions from Francescana at Casa Maria Luigia (CML) are permanently branded into my temporal lobe, I'm desperately assuaging my sadness that this incredible experience has come to an end. Thus, an homage to perhaps my favorite (celebrity) couple, Massimo & Lara. The very first episode of the first season of Chef's Table on Netflix was my introduction into the culinary mastery of Chef Massimo Bottura. And honestly, I've been obsessed ever since. So much could be said about his traditional influences while hiding under his nonna's kitchen table to his creative brilliance that at times were shunned by the local Modenese, but since this is an IG post we'll keep it at that. My fiancé and I uncharacteristically planned our trip to Italy only couple months in advance. Understandably and sadly, both Osteria Francescana and Francescana were booked. However, by a stroke of luck there happened to be a single room available for a single night at CML with the option to dine at Francescana. I booked it immediately without hesitation. When we arrived, we were given a tour of our "home away from home" (check my reel for a glimpse into the beautiful stay) and as we were being taken to our room, I recognized Lara immediately. I wasn't sure if either of them would be present but there she was! We wandered the property, eating fresh baked pistachio cookies, gawking at the Ferrari and Ducati collection, sipping on grappa while listening to jazz, just patiently waiting for 7:30 to roll around. Clock struck half past and we eagerly sat while staff promptly poured water and wines for the tasting. Then Lara came around to each table, greeting each guest in such a warm and calming demeanor. I wanted to ask for a picture but was way too shy and ultimately missed my chance ... Then she embarked on the journey of Casa Maria Luigia and the first three courses of the tasting, including an inspiration from a Beetles song, a traditional family dish flipped completely on its head, and an affectionate tribute to the best cheese in the world aged between 24-50 months! The flavors were intense, complex and lingered on your palette just long enough for the next dish. The textures were playful, some dancing, some kicking while others lied dormant in the back of your mouth before it was digested. Maybe an hour and a half in, Chef flew in through the kitchen with his expected jolly and chaotic energy infecting everyone with smiles as he shared in the task of describing the main courses. The fight between siblings for the best part of the lasagna. The flavor packed tortellini that weigh only a single gram each and was recently served to the Prince of Monaco. The conflict of a recently anointed three-Michelin star chef walking into a Burger King to view the newly hung Damien Hirst painting during the London Olympics. My mouth still drools at the thought of these dishes... and chuckles at the stories behind them... and awes at watching Chef at work, splattering various veggie sauces across his plated canvas. Up til now I must admit there is complete adoration for this experience and truly not a single thing I would change about it. And aside from the seventh course, I truly wouldn't. But I must admit, I was not the biggest fan of the North to South which is Chef's desire to bridge the geographic regions of Italy together with a Sicilian blood orange flavored risotto served cold for savory dessert. But, his signature lemon tart and a camouflaged chocolate terrain were as visually stunning as they were stunning to the palate. Not sure what it's like at Osteria Francescana, but can attest that Casa Maria Luigia brings the best of Massimo & Lara into a tangible privilege for the mind, body and community. Hopefully this isn't too hype, but seriously... it's just the best.
A true stay in Massimo’s country home
We stayed at Casa Maria Luigi at the end of February. I traveled with my sister and 2 adult daughters to Modena. The rooms were beautifully decorated and came equipped with a mini bar filled with waters, Pellegrino and Lambrusco. The rooms were a good size. We were in 5 and 7. Room 7 was on a floor above us and was larger with more sitting space . The bed and linens were exceptionally comfortable. They tell you in the communal kitchen, it is as if you are “raiding” Massimo’s refrigerator. This was actually better than I could expect . Everyday a different beautiful dessert was on display to be enjoyed with a beautiful coffee served in an exquisite China cup. The refrigerator had cheese topped with herbs or balsamic vinegar under small individual cloches. And at times homemade crackers. And more Lambrusco than you could imagine ! The managers at CML were incredibly helpful . Alessandro made us reservations, helped with luggage, offered umbrellas, etc. Then there is breakfast…. A beautiful sort of buffet with a sample of regional foods . And perhaps the best cappuccino ever. Eduardo was amazing and after 1 day knew our coffee and food favorites. His wife did our tour of the balsamic vinegar room and she was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. It was winter, and yet still so beautiful, with spring flowers starting to emerge. We also ate at the Osteria Francescana, which was an amazing culinary experience. The sommelier, Giovanni was so very good to us too! We were lucky enough to meet Massimo too. It was my birthday and an Italian man stood up and sang me Happy Birthday ! A trip I hope to repeat ! It’s a must for any traveler .
Disappointed
If the price of the night was like 359 euro per night, I could have give better points. But if you ask more than 700 euro per night, you expect everything is on the level. I still could accept the informal manner of the receiving guest and not working the electric charge for the car. But if there is nobody to help to work the charger and there is just a sofa without table nor other chair to sit together when you offer a suit room and there is no bath tub and the bed side light is not working, it is too much. The room is roughly renovated without a feeling. Again, it is ok if it is just a hotel in a provincial town, but it is part of the world famous three star restaurant where you spend 1000 euro for lunch. I am just disappointed.
Best meal of my life
I do not think there is anything I can add to the praise chef Bottura receives for his inventive and surprising cuisine. However, I finally managed to try the meal served at Casa Maria Luigia, which offer a convivial experience with a very limited number of tables. The chef and his amazing brigade - a big round of applause should be tributed to Chef Jessica and her team- present his most iconic plates and I almost cried over The 5 ages of Parmesan. Pure genius in a bowl. The host is charming and I am looking forward to sleeping at the residence next time!
A dream location for a dream vacation
A dream location for a dream vacation. The abode is just awesome in every way, not a hotel but a home. The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. The place is close to the city of Modena but away from all the noise. Squeeze in a meal or 2 or 3 at any of Massimo Bottura's restaurants here in the city.

We can’t give this property enough stars! Everything about it is PERFECT! The grounds are magnificent and so well manicured. The staff goes above and beyond to please. The suites are beautiful, each with its own personality and special touches. We had the penthouse suite and it was so spacious and beautiful! The breakfasts were like no other we have ever experienced, and we travel extensively and stay and top notch properties around the world! The guest kitchen is unbelievable! No stone was left unturned and in such an inviting an relaxing setting. We had dinner at Francescana Maria Luigia one night and all I can say is WOW! What a memorable dining experience! Massimo was there and came by to introduce himself to every table. The food was off the charts-delicious and works of art! We hope to return someday soon!
Can we add another star to make it 6?
If you have watched Massimo & Lara on Netflix and it moved you in anyway, then to experience the passion, fun, and unimaginable memories of their love story and Massimo's childhood in person will be icing on the cake. When my wife got excited about the opportunity to book this experience and stay at the villa her first emotion was excitement, followed by hesitation (sticker shock). As usual, I quickly said Book It. Can you really put a price on memories? For it is the secret but not so secret ingredient to a happy fulfilling life. Have someone use their loyalty points to book your stay or buy a reservation from someone who can't make it to theirs.
Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience
the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.
If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Casa Maria Luigia Modena at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Casa Maria Luigia Modena page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at Casa Maria Luigia Modena to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Casa Maria Luigia Modena!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
