Great food, great service
Amazing find in Columbia. Food was so good. Had the stuffed salmon, it was perfection. Great atmosphere and service. Will be back
Be the first to ReplyFirst Visit- Excellent
We were visiting Columbia to meet up with old friends and go to Mizzou FN game. Decided to try this restaurant the night before with our friends. Had heard it was very good and not a bit disappointed. This is a classic and classy steakhouse. A large menu though offering other grilled items. We all had steaks and they were done perfectly. The special house salad is unique and really worth having. Lastly service was impeccably professional. Highly recommend. We will go back.

Best steak I’ve had in a long time. Sides and salad were excellent, too. Matt is a master of his craft, made a good experience great. Don’t forget to have the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake for dessert, it is over the top good!

We found this gem of a place on trip advisor…. we were traveling from CO to OH and stopped in Columbia MO. It was later in the evening like 8 pm and they seated us without a problem. We ordered drinks, scallops as an appetizer, we ordered steaks off of their other menu, bone in filet with broiled African lobster tail and ribeye with Lobster mashed potatoes. So flavorful. They cook the steaks on a wood fire. Our server was T, she was wonderful and helpful when choosing our entrees. Everything she recommended to get was phenomenal.

Had a great meal last night for our Anniversary. Everything was wonderful except for their signature salad. It came with a Roma cut in half that was not ripe. It was hard as a rock and inedible. How hard is it to buy ripe tomatoes or buy some and let them ripen.
Be the first to ReplyA Great Treat
My husband and I went here on a date. This is an amazing restaurant in Columbia that was just a treat! We called on the same day to reserve a table. It seemed as if we were arranging a “time slot” because the employee who answered the phone said we had it from 5:00-6:30. This didn’t turn out to be a problem, as everything was timely. My husband and I both ordered entrees which come with a salad and bread course and a side. I had the medallions and he had the sirloin. We both had baked potatoes. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. All the staff were very well trained and prepared. Personally, I don’t think the prices are bad at all, considering what you get. I can see how getting wine, apps, desserts, and such would make the bill go way up. However we were able to eat delicious food and be completely full (in my case taking home leftovers) without it lightening the wallets too much. Would highly recommend!!!

We were here from Virginia, passing through. Shannon was our server and was fantastic. She recommended the pork chop and it was amazing!!! The glaze and grilled apple on top was outstanding and the jalapeño twice baked potato was excellent. We got the onion rings for appetizer and they were awesome. The filet was good according to the family. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic! From start to finish it was phenomenal. We ate well and the service was wonderful. A must eat in Columbia, you can’t beat it!!
Be the first to ReplyNot Worth the time or cost.
NOT worth the price. For a higher end steakhouse, this place falls short. Steak was undercooked and waaay over-seasoned. The sides were okay but not special. We arrived early in the evening and still had to “reserve” a cut of steak! What should have been a sublime piece of prime rib was “roasted?” then grilled with tons of seasoning. This makes me think they were covering up something? The meat was not even halfway roasted like a piece of prime rib should have been. And to top it off there was the “show” of the silver domes all being removed simultaneously. Not sure if that really added anything to our meal. So, we’ve been there and done that and won’t make that mistake again.

We didnt enjoy it as MUCH as the reviews indicated. That is just us. Service was great. Great setting. The food was good, but not what we anticipated.
Be the first to ReplyDid not honor reservation
Our Family has been a CC's customer for over 20 years. I only mention this to show loyalty, not as an expectation for anything. My wife arrived and confirmed a reservation for 7 around 5pm. The restaurant was not busy, after 15 minutes our entire party had arrived. Several walk ins were seated ahead of us. after another 10 minutes and perhaps 10 new people seated. We were told "we cannot accommodate you" I have never, ever heard of such a thing, I am quite sure we could have been sat at 2 different tables or even waited as the demand a maximum of 1.5 hours for dining. Unacceptable to take and confirm a table, make us wait and then refuse us. Sad to say we are done and will spread the word that since Scott has left this is a sad, hollow excuse for what used to be a fine dining establishment...
Be the first to ReplyWonderful experience
What a wonderful experience! We started the meal with a delicious salad that was different than at any restaurant I had eaten at. I had the filet which was so tender I barely had to chew it. The baked potato was also very unique with a salty, crusty skin. Yum!! Four of us shared the chocolate molten cake. Is it ok to lick the plate? So good. The atmosphere was very nice and all the wait staff was very friendly and considerate. We made a reservation for 5:30 and were asked to be finished by 7. There were several people waiting to dine. It is a great place for a special evening out!!
Be the first to ReplyFirst.... AND LAST time.
We had a reservation for 10 people @ 7 pm Friday, 5/13, celebrating a graduation. First... we understand they were busy, Friday, Columbia, Graduation....we get it. Second, I'm a chef, and most of us in the party have worked in food-service previously. Also, we were nice, and trying to be understanding. It was just NOT GOOD at all. ***We arrived at 6:50 for our friend's reservation. The host told us that the entire party had already been seated. It was not our party, or anyone we knew. They seated another party of 10 under our party's name. Simple mistake. Can you please seat us soon? It took 10 minutes for us to convince the host that the people seated at the 10-top were not our people. He then asked us to wait outside. Forty minutes later we were finally seated for a 7pm reservation. We had 7 people and a service dog. After sitting at the table for 15 minutes, a server finally showed up, and only talked to half of the table. He started taking app orders from one half of the table. When we asked if he could speak up a bit, he said "I was going to move down to you guys in a minute." Before he could move down to "us guys," the host came and asked us if there were only 8 of us (7 + service dog). He asked all of us to get up, go outside, and wait, again... so they could make our table into an 8-top, and they could split the tables & seat/serve other diners. This was the weirdest service any of us have ever received, anywhere. We got up from the table. Went to the front of the restaurant. Waited ANOTHER 15 minutes while they split the two tables. We were seated again. We had to ask for all new waters, because we weren't sure who had drank out of which water glasses while sitting at the 10-top. The seven of us were sitting elbow-to-elbow at a table that should have seated five to six at most. Plus, we had to make room for the service dog. To say it was extremely crowded is an understatement. Our reservation was for 7 pm. We all understand slight delays on busy evenings. We finally ordered dinner at 8:15. Salads did not arrive until 8:30 (1.5 hours after our reservation time... after two in our party had simultaneously called the phone number for >1 hour starting at 11 am in order to secure the reservation). As the salads arrived, I asked the server if we could possibly order drinks. He had never asked. Mind you, this was 1.5 hours after arriving at the restaurant. The appetizers were ok. The salads were great, beautiful, tasty. Six of us ordered the $38 strip steak. One ordered the "stuffed" salmon. The salmon was "pretty good." Most of the steaks were thrown away, less than half-eaten. The seasoned butter topping them was tasty. They were all cooked perfectly to temp, but all were very tough & hard to chew (even my husband's steak, that was cooked to rare). My zucchini & yellow squash were overcooked and unseasoned, very bland. The baked potatoes were just ok. (They were out of onion rings.) After one of us spoke to the manager (as we were waiting for the table the 2nd time), they offered to pay for apps & drinks to "make up for our trouble..." so, they tried, a little (3 glasses of wine, a soda & a tea). But, we would've all gotten up and walked out, gone to Texas Roadhouse, had it not been a graduation celebration & a very busy night in Columbia. After dinner the server cashed us out. After giving him our credit cards, we asked about dessert. He DID give us ONE free 3" chocolate cake & about 12 spoons, so the seven of us could share. The steaks & bland veg are definitely NOT worth $38, and we will not return. Not a great first impression for all seven first-time customers, celebrating a child receiving her DVM. The four people seated at the table that they split from ours? They ordered & got food, drinks &apps before we received our salads & drinks. We have NEVER been at a more mediocre restaurant (or any, really) for 2.45 hours before.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly Staff, good food.
It’s hard to get through on the reservation line, and that should tell you something. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, the steaks are well prepared and the sea food is excellent. All around a great place to enjoy a great meal in an upscale, yet relaxed environment. Great job!

Waited 15 min. for someone to wait on us at the counter, servers were rude and not friendly at all, will not come again , Writing this crappy place off my list of favorites.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible place to spend your money
My wife and I have been all over the US trying different steak houses. This place is by far the worst when it comes to customer service. Very over priced and the steak was not very good. I have had better steak at longhorns for a quarter of the price. The reservation line is also not very good. Trying to get someone to answer the phone was difficult to say the least. After driving to the restaurant to do a reservation in person, they were rude and had no idea what was going on. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Be the first to Replyfraudulent billing
Longtime, devoted customer here, but sorry to say will not be returnign given their recent fradulent billing practices and abhorrent customer service. Overcharged my party by $80. Every day for a week they continued to say that someone would call me to discuss by the end of the day. Today they gave no timeline for when they might fix this or even whether would. They have made no apologies for the error or the delay. None. It obviously is their practice to be okay with errors in billing and overcharging their customers without apology or literally any effort to fix it.
