4.5 Star RatingBeen wanting to stop in for the longest time and finally got our chance on Sunday afternoon. Had a fantastic first experience.SERVICE: Walked in and sat on the outdoor patio, with the cooling misters and red umbrella covered tables. Luis assisted us and was prompt and friendly, as were all of the staff. We observed several of the staff taking the leftover waters on the table and pouring them into the potted plants and bushes around the patio area, rather than dumping down a sink. I asked and was told that the owner does not like waste. Bravo! I feel the same way and have a pet peeve about people ordering water and not touching it or leaving most of their food behind.FOOD & DRINK: Started with a El Jimador Chicken Ranch Margarita ($14) and a El Jimador Spicy Strawberry Habanero Margarita ($14). My margarita was a little tart for me and my wife's, really didn't have an overwhelming sweet strawberry taste. Wasn't too spicy either. For lunch we had a Cobb Salad ($17) and added the cold chopped rotisserie chicken ($7) and blue cheese dressing. We also had a Beet & Goat Cheese Salad ($12) with the cold chopped rotisserie chicken. Both were fresh and delicious. We had such a good time, and the weather was so nice that we decided to sit through the 3 PM happy hour. We ordered a Lemon Drop Martini ($8) and a Cosmopolitan ($8) along with the Cheese Sticks ($10), fried mozzarella with a slightly spicy marinara dipping sauce. Still good, we ordered another round of Lemon Drop Martinis and an order of Fire Cracker Orange Chicken ($13). We also tried the Green Beans ($6), tossed with garlic, ginger, and gluten free soy sauce. Finished it all off with a Chocolate Gelato ($10) which was quite refreshing. Everything was very tasty.Knocking a half point off my review because the two bathrooms, which may be shared amongst the complex where the Chicken Ranch is located, could have been a little cleaner and better maintained. Paper all over the floors, drywall in disrepair, etc. There was plenty of staff there to have spent a few minutes cleaning up a little.Bathrooms aside, we had a wonderful afternoon and will definitely be back for more.
