Everything good but the food
Met an old friend at Central Valley location. Service great, location wonderful. Food has really gone down hill, I cook a lot and I recognize the insane amount of salt and butter that went into my dish and everyone else at the table . They seem to have lost track of ingredients and flavor. I have eaten here frequently and this time was the tipping point.

Authentic Italian food! Portions were normal size, food was bursting with rich flavors. Food came very quickly, fresh and hot despite being super packed on a Friday evening. Staff was extremely friendly and nice without being overly chatty.

Everything is delicious and fresh! The chicken parm is the nest I have ever had!! Both kids loved the bowtie pasta.
Be the first to ReplyLOVING COSIMO'S SINCE 2011
Been going to this location since 2011 two or three times a year. It's a perfect meeting place for Fort Lee NJ and Woodstock NY. We love it here. None of us have ever included a trip to Woodbury to shop. It's all about seeing each other and feasting. Went last week with two other friends who are very picky picky and, as I anticipated, they LOVED IT. We had the fried calamari ($17) with an extra serving of their pomodoro sauce ($3) that is delectable. Perfect for 3 people. I frequently order a side dish or two as my entree. I love all their sides. Last week I shared the snapper ($28) with polenta and Brussel sprouts that was fabulous. I took most of my share home and happily devoured it. My friend ate her share there. My other friend ordered the eggplant parm ($20) and adored it and also took some home. We shared the apple pizzete with cinnamon ice cream ($10). First time after all these years I tried that and IT'S A WINNER. Get it! We'll be back in Feb or March for birthdays if I can't convince the new group to go again before that.

My family from differenbt states met here on a Saturday for lunch. What a lunch! We thoroughly enjoyed our choices.. 10 different people and 10 different selections, not to mention the appetizers. Service was excellent and we were not rushed, even though they were quite busy.

The place was buzzing! Most of the tables were full on a weekday evening. In spite of the busy-ness, we were seated immediately. The wait staff were informative and kind. Our orders were taken in no time, and fresh bread and incredible olive oil for dipping held our appetites over while we waited for food to arrive.
I ordered a delicious Kale Beet Salad that included goat cheese and pistachios. It was divine; just the right combination of textures and flavors. My partner ordered the eggplant parm and a side of brocolli rabe. The eggplant was prepared with perfection. It was sliced thin, so thankfully, it was tenderly cooked. The eggplant itself was so crispy, one could hear a bite! And the brocolli rabe, wow! Just wow! It actually melted in our mouths. It was not bitter. I don't know how they do it, but it was ever-so-delicious! And to top off the meal was creme brulee. It too, was like Goldilocks loves it....not too sweet, not mushy. It was just right!
Prices were moderate. When in the area, we'll be back for sure. Five stars for Cosimo's!

A Great Restaurant Near Woodbury Commons
We had a very nice dinner at Cosimo's in late November 2019 after a day of shopping at nearby Woodbury Commons. This Italian restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel at which we were staying. Cosimo's is an attractive multi-room restaurant and we were warmly greeted and comfortably seated in an airy windowed dining room. Although we were tempted by several of the appetizers on the large menu, we decided (wisely as it turned out) to share two main dishes - Spicy Chicken Fusilli and Chicken Scarpariello, both of which were attractive, generous and delicious. Service from Brian was great and our meal was a good value (including a discount for Hampton Inn guests). We look forward to a return visit.

So glad my husband & I discovered this wonderful restaurant after shopping at Woodbury Commons. Service was great, tons of menu choices, immaculate, and we enjoyed the best pizza we’ve had in years. Highly recommend the pear and arugula salad too. We’ll be back!
Be the first to ReplyGood Honest Italian Food and Very Large Portions
This is probably the best dining option in the area around the Woodbury Commons outlet shopping center. Good food, large portions (many doggy bags), huge menu (plus daily specials), and very reasonable prices (especially since many appetizers and main courses can be shared). The restaurant is a bit noisy (especially at the tables near the bar), but a good choice nonetheless. So much so that we returned to the restaurant's other nearby location close to our hotel the very next evening

Our group was passing through the area on our way to a weekend resort and stopped here for Friday lunch. It was just right for us -- lots of good menu options, fresh ingredients, and well-prepared Italian dishes. Our server, Phil (I believe) was charming and capable despite the lunchtime rush. Our salads were very tasty as was the pizza. It's a cute place, easy to find and away from the shopping mecca so nice and peaceful. We recommend it.

We picked this restaurant because the West Point Moms Facebook page has so many rave reviews of Cosimo’s. We called for a reservation and the hostess was nice enough to write us down as a call ahead for three even though they are only supposed to make reservations for parties of 6 or more. My anticipation kept building because the parking lot was packed and we had to circle around the lot a couple of times before someone left.
The house salad was tasty, but I found the shrimp capellini disappointing. They told me they could make it not spicy, but the sauce was as bland as all get out with no distinctive flavor. It tasted like cheap watery canned tomato sauce. And the worst part was the capellini was all clumped together in spots. The thin strands are supposed to be separate and distinct.
However my brother and sister had the meatball pizza and the penne al pomodoro. They both enjoyed their meals s great deal.
My only other knock is that they only offer olive bread. After picking out the olives, it was fresh great tasty bread.
It was OK, but not completely up to the hype. Or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.
Good Italian, Hearty portions at affordable prices
Popped in to Cosimo's while staying in the area for Labor Day Weekend. Few nice restaurants in the area, Cosimo's was convenient. Server was overwhelmed, but apologetic and ultimately helpful - took a bit to order but everything went fine. Ordered two starter salads, a sausage and onion pizza, and a summer gnocci pasta special. Salads were great. Gnocci was tasting but so much butter. Pizza was a gloppy mess, not fully cooked through and a disaster of spills to eat - couldn't pick it up. Flavors were good though and price was solid. Not amazing, but reasonable. If you order pizza, ask to be well done!

We met with a group of old friends to reconnect over lunch and ate leisurely over a three hour period. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The food is good, comfort Italian, mostly red sauce traditional. Full bar with trendy drinks, decent wine by the glass plus a more extensive bottle list.
