Mice running amok
We ate at the 2nd Avenue location on the second floor outside. As we were eating our expensive and mediocre dinner, we were able to see through the large glass window and doors, many mice scurrying around the restaurant’s second floor dining area. We alerted the waitress and her response was all restaurants in NYC have mice running around their dining rooms. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Arrived in NYC a Tuesday, and was hooked that night! We have been back 3x, amazing!!! The service is impeccable, exceptional! The food is out of this world, fresh and delicious.. cocktails are on point. Thank you ❤️ for the awesome time!
Be the first to ReplyLovely Fish restaurant!
We’d heard good things about this restaurant and were not disappointed! We visited on a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was quite quiet. The upstairs has the quieter restaurant vibe, downstairs is more of a bar. We went for the 3 course Sunday supper deal at $49 per person, excellent choice of food. Calamari appetiser was delicious, great texture and flavoursome. Main course of crab fusilli, also excellent, loads of crabmeat! Dessert choice was limited, cookie and ice cream, but if you go there, it’s really to eat the fish. Service was good, and ambience lovely, great place for a romantic couples meal. Would definitely return again if visiting New York.
Be the first to ReplyMost amazing tasting FISH
Ok we loved Crave in Midtown, It's a cute smaller restaurant with a good bar and seating in bar and inside and outside. Drinks are a bit expensive but the fish choices are reasonable compared to the high prices everywhere you go. I really loved the flavors the chef adds to the Salmon as well as the seared Yellow fish Tuna. CFB cookie for dessert was fantastic for $8 with ice cream scoop. .Service was a bit slow but it was our best dinner in New York

Perfect alignment of the planets: food, place and service
We love the place, the food and the service
We choose to sample all the different types of oysters
The kale salad and the salmon tostada were refreshing and tasteful
The blackened barramundi was perfectly cooked
Seafood - just what we wanted !!
Nice intimate place. We ordered a dozen Oysters and the special Calamari (nice twist) to start, when the soup of the day and the fish of the day......everything was delicious. Very friendly staff ---- we almost went back the next day :)
Be the first to ReplyGood but not great!
The ambiance was good and the food was very good. We ordered the fish taco appetizer which could have been great had it not been for the amount of hot sauce added to the tacos. What I found alarming was that there wasn't an indicator on the menu informing the customer that the Tacos were spicy!!! I have a very low tolerance level for spicy foods so that was very disappointing!!!!!

Oysters and White Wine
Nestled in a boutique location on 2nd Avenue near 50th Street is a clean, well lighted place that serves an array of succulent oysters and a wonderful wine list. I was there to meet a friend whom I have known since our college days. We were reminded of the book by Ernest Hemingway, “A Moveable Feast”. As we enjoyed our Sancerre Coravin with Island Creek, Hurricane Island, Blue Island and Black Duck Salt Oysters, we caught up on our ventures and reminisced about those early chapters in Hemingway’s book when he would reward himself with oysters and white wine.
Be the first to ReplyMore Misses than Hits
Hits & Misses for this place. I feel this place is overpriced considering the ambiance and food quality. We were a party 4 adults and were placed in one of the booths - it was too tight; and if I'm paying upper 20's to upper 30's for food, I don't imagine cramped booth seating. In any case, we had oysters during the happy hour and those were delightful! Really fresh! As for the main entree, out of the 4, only 1 could be rated as GREAT - the seared yellowfin tuna. All the ingredients went well to make the dish a winner. The cavatelli & the squid ink pasta were both disappointments. There was nothing special about the cavatelli while the squid ink pasta was bland as can be. It was even watery on the bottom of the bowl. Now, all I could think about prior to our reservation was trying the lobster curry. I was so looking forward to it but lo & behold, the spice level of this dish is not one to tarry with! Goodness, if a dish is this spicy (my mouth was on fire) - there should be some warning on the menu or the server should have mentioned something! And I'm Asian, we're used to spice!! Imagine a huge bowl of tom yung soup but a tad thicker. Also, this kind of dish should come with rice. One cannot eat a soupy dish like this, at the spice level it is at without some rice to balance it. The flavor of the dish was rich, don't get me wrong; I just couldn't enjoy it because of the aforementioned reasons. So to sum it all, I feel the overall experience at this restaurant would prevent me from returning or recommending this place.
Be the first to ReplyDelish fish- awful din
Noise level became unbearable but the food was inventive and delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and the service was nicely done. I wish the desserts had better gf options and we would really have loved to be able to hear each other speak
Be the first to ReplyFish was tasty
We were a party of six
We ordered a few of the side dishes as appetizers.
They were good.
We all ordered different fish main dishes, all of us were satisfied
Service was friendly and efficient
BUT restaurant was extremely noisy.
If you don't mind the noise and like fish it is definitely worth a visit
