Great Italian food- excellent service
We had lunch for two. The service was very good. Food was delicious. Large portions, fresh ingredients. We had prawns for starters and pasta for main course.

Walking into "La Dolce Vita" offers a captivating snippet of Italian romance, sitting comfortably yet paradoxically amidst the binary jungle of Microsoft headquarters. A refuge for coders and executives alike, where the well-rehearsed dance of the dollar bill takes place alongside linguini and tiramisu. The service is remarkable, combining the charm of Milan with the efficiency of a startup on steroids. One is greeted with a heartwarming smile, soon to be counteracted by the rather chilling glance at the price on the menu. The food, a symphony of rich flavors and vibrant colors, generously borrows from the famed culinary traditions of the Italian peninsula. Yet, the portion size could leave the more famished amongst us longing for just one more forkful of risotto. The prices here seem to be inspired not by the humble trattorias of Rome or Venice, but more by the dot com boom or the surge in Bitcoin. A single visit could make a considerable dent in the average diner's wallet. But hey, if you’re dining on Microsoft's dime, it’s merely a rounding error. To put it simply, "La Dolce Vita" is a fine Italian restaurant, offering an indulgence in gastronomy and hospitality. Yet, be prepared to pay Silicon Valley prices for this slice of Italy. Overpriced? Indubitably. But when it’s nestled beside a tech titan, it seems to simply play by the rules of its geographical fortune.

Exceptional food ! Nice atmosphere and good service. It was fun watching the bartender. Big variety of European quality food with interesting combinations.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Italian, in an upscale ambience.
Cucina has a smaller menu, but have dishes for all members of the family. Luckily the dishes are not massive, so you can have an appetizer and entrée and be comfortablly full. They offer free bread and flavored butter, both lovely. We had the seafood pasta, mushroom flat bread, and crispy zucchini cakes. The dishes were all great. Service was prompt and attentive.
Be the first to ReplyThe food good, but minimal
The food is really good. The reason for the the 4 stars is their portions. The portions are very very small. I typically don’t eat a lot and I always leave full, but today I left vet hungry. If you’re a person that like a plate full, double up or you will leave hungry. Now their prices are on the mid up high. It was only my husband and I and we spent over $240 and we left hungry , so we went to McDonald’s to satisfy our hunger. Also, the tip is a minimum of 20% and you don’t have an option. The place is cute, but price with very minimal portions.

We selected Cucina Venti because we were staying at the Shashi Hotel nearby. This turned out to be a good choice (both hotel and restaurant). Cucina Venti had a nice selection of dishes and were very happy with our selections. We particularly appreciated the great service. Worth a repeat visit.

A party of 4, we all had good food and good service. So, what's the problem? In a nutshell, I would say that this place is *deceptive*. Problem #1 - If you want water, you pay for it, at $7.50 per bottle. No normal tap water. This is the first time I have encountered this problem in the US. Problem #2 - the wine list. Groth Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc - cost at Total Wine: $19.99 Cost at Cucina Venti: $84.00. Stag's Leap Chardonnay Napa Valley - cost at Total Wine: $21.97 Cost at Cucina Venti: $106.00 This is simply price gouging. Problem #3 - corkage $50, one bottle maximum. Problem #4 - even for a party of 4, they added the tip to the bill before presenting the bill. Nowhere was there a notification in advance that this would be the case. Adding the tip to the bill is a standard practice for large parties, but even then the policy is announced in advance. I have *never* been to a restaurant (at least in the US) where the tip is automatically added to a party of 4, and furthermore, I have *never* had a tip "crammed" without some sort of advance warning. So, if these sort of business practices don't rub you the wrong way, then I think you'll do just fine. Our appetizers and main courses were all quite good. For me, this sort of business practice makes this place a non-starter.

Food was good, and patio seating was real nice, but they gouge on any and every type of drink. They start the meal off offering you sparkling water or their "special" bottle of everyday drinking water. It's pretty bad when you can't even get a free glass of water. Cheapest glass of wine was $17.00 and cocktails were about $21.00. And, if you bring your own bottle of wine they charge a $50.00 corkage fee. So, even though the food was okay for the price I paid, for a party of three, I would not return to this restaurant.

The restaurant looks like hole-in-the-wall in a strip mall from the outside…. But when you go inside, the place is WOW!!! Everything is perfect, starting with food, and service and finishing off with ambiance and decor!! This is one of the nicest restaurants!! To top it off, Hector made our experience so pleasant. Thank you!
