Damn the Weather Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
Ok however very small portion for my main meal so disappointed
Restaurant was busy when we arrived and they got us seats all friendly. Our server was busy however nice. Our biggest issue was the portion size very surprised how small it was. I did let the waitress know it’s more of a side or starter portion not a main . The redeeming factor was it was very tasty . I did order a dessert as still hungry and that was nice.
We stumbled across this place while visiting Seattle
We stumbled across this place while visiting Seattle recently, and loved it so much we returned the next day. Great food, friendly service, super chill atmosphere. Not a single bad thing to say, and I have already recommended it to others visiting there. 10/10
The service was perfect.
I ordered the bucatini and the portion was the right size, the home made pasta was cooked Al dente with the most delicious bolognese sauce. I will be back to try the halibut!
The service was great.
This would be a good little date spot but I was in town for business so I showed up solo. The duck fries were delicious! I got the filet and it was cooked to perfection. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive and even hooked me up with a phone charger because my phone was dying.

Went in hoping for a good dinner and was left feeling a bit dissatisfied. Friday night wait time was around half an hour, so we put our name down and walked around the street while waiting. Once they called we returned and were seated quickly. Interior was chic but dimly lit, and it got dimmer as the evening went on. Service was just fine; it took a while to try and get a waiter to take our food order. Ordered the bitter buck cocktail which was a good balance of gingery and sweet. Food- french fries came out hot and crispy accompanied by some pretty good aioli. What disappointed was the bucatini, which tasted extremely bland and was akin to someone just dumping canned tomatoes into a pot and tossing the pasta in, no seasoning at all. Don't let the pic fool you- it was mid. Perhaps another dinner entree would have been more flavorful.
A Stupendous find on my beautiful Seattle vacation.
Usually try I keep reviews to myself in my collections. With the amount of travel I do I just use YELP as a reminder of where I've been and where to go in my quick layovers, but this one I feel I had to share. Wandering around the neighborhoods of Seattle with my girlfriend and we stumbled upon this place. They had an outside seating area on this beautiful Friday afternoon, The place looked inviting, and a name that is unique and cool enough that it got our attention. We went inside and got the outside seating which was awesome on this beautiful day that allowed people watching and views of all the cool Seattle folk going about their day. Our Waitress Bri came and made suggestions of the "Malibu Dream House" and the "Morettes Old Fashioned". Ummm credit to Bri and the bartenders but these drinks were fantastic and exactly what we needed!! So refreshing, great tasting and unique. Special props to the staff for adding the effort of the presentation of even adding clear ice. Its a small detail but one that shows they are putting in extra effort into all they do. Ended up having a few more and enjoying the atmosphere with the location, staff, and drinks. What a GREAT time! Apparently, we liked it enough because the very next day we found ourselves back there after a full day of Seattle tourist nature attractions. IMAGINE THAT! We were greeted at the table by Bri again and she remembered us and our drink orders which prompted us to just say "Another round of our usual". It felt So0o0o fun to feel like "regulars" if only for a second at a cool place. This time we ordered food to snack on and we started with the "Duck Fat Fries". I usually find Duck Fat Fries to generally be a gimmick and they be nothing special to them but these were FANTASTIC! They had such great flavor, somehow greasy yet light, and cooked perfectly didn't feel undercooked or starchy at all. Lastly me and the girlfriend shared some Campanelle Pasta which apparently they make in house. ANOTHER TASY DISH! It was so well balanced with the ham, peas, and butter sauce and the pasta cooked perfectly. Long story short this place was a fantastic find! We managed to cram a lot of Seattle attractions into a short beautiful weekend but one of the biggest unexpected treats was stumbling upon such a great establishment. The staff is great, drinks refreshing, food delicious, and (this ones for me) the best companion to enjoy it all with. I live across the country but if I ever find myself in the Emerald City again Ill find my way here.
I've been wanting to come to Damn the Weather since it
I've been wanting to come to Damn the Weather since it opened years ago and we finally made it before a recent Mariner's game. We were lucky to get seated immediately around 4 PM on a weekday which we were very grateful for! We got drinks - they have a great bar menu - and they switched over to dinner fare while we were there. The veggie burger and pasta dish we got were really good. The place is fun but I don't think it knows what it is exactly - somewhere between brassiere, American pub, and swanky cocktail bar. It suits Pioneer Square for sure. We'd come back!
Came here for brunch on a Sunday and it was EMPTY.
We were the only ones in the restaurant LOL. The inside looks really pretty, kind of historic almost, and I really liked the atmosphere. I ordered the steak frites and thought they were only okay. The steak was too tough and the ratio of steak to fries was really off in my opinion. The fries were also overly salted, but I liked the chimichurri sauce on the steak. My boyfriend ordered the vegetarian sloppy joe, which he also thought was only okay. He said the bites with the bread were pretty good, but since it's a pretty messy sandwich, when he ate the parts that spilled out by themselves he realized it's actually not that great.

Don't go here for the food (overpriced/mediocre), standard service, small space more like a bar, didn't try the drinks which is what I'm assuming most people come here for.

Gotta love the name! The hostess seated us and also waited on us... very hospitable demeanor, simply pleasant with her approach! I believe it's Ash. My first choice was their crispy chicken sandwich. It looked like I was going to love it. Unfortunately I don't like dark meat enough to eat as a sandwich.. so I was offered a replacement.. their Grass Fed burger- perfectly grilled onions, sauce, L&T ! Hands down delicious comfort at every bite! Flavored well along with fresh fries made me whole! Thank you for allowing me a second option! My Malibu Dream was fruitfully potent, not too sweet or bitter with mezcal, Campari & elderflower!
Loved all the drinks! They have a lot of really cool
Loved all the drinks! They have a lot of really cool cocktails which is mainly what we came for. The cocktail list is pretty diverse and unique but still concise, which I like. They have a full bar though so you can order whatever you'd like and they make a really good espresso martini if you're a fan of those. The food selection felt a bit limited and the vegetarian options were also limited. We did try the fries and the BBQ Vegetarain Burnt Ends which were quite good, but there wasn't much more for me as a veggie unfortunately. The drinks is absolutely come back for though and the service was excellent! The decor is kind of a classic, wealthy mansion vibe, but still maintaining a casual air with the ambiance. Great place to "damn the weather" when it's raining and I'd definitely come back for cocktails and snacks!

This. Place. Rawks!!! From the service to the meal, everything was on point! We had a great meal.
I am in Seattle for three days.
I went here on Monday night with a co-worker and the place was empty (which is understandable since it was President's Day). We sat at the end of the bar and the bartender came right over to chat and take our order. We started out with a couple drinks recommended by our bartender. My coworker got a whiskey drink and I a Moscow Mule. While not served in a metal mug, the drink was smooth and delicious in the glass - which is the first time I had ever had a decent Moscow Mule served in a glass. My coworker knew his drinks and ordered a whiskey I'd never heard of (though I'm not a connoisseur of whiskey), then he ordered a cocktail off the menu that the bartender recommended and then had a vodka drink with the Polish vodka the bartender also had recommended (the same one I had ordered for my mule. He wanted oysters (which I think are icky) and he said were very good. I got the duck fat fries (heavenly) and then we both ordered burgers which were juicy and delicious. Damn the Weather is located in Pioneer Square and is great place to unwind with friends and colleagues after work for great drinks, good food, knowledgeable bartenders, and an awesome atmosphere.

I looked this place up because I wanted a bar that specialized in specialty drinks. They did not disappoint. Be warned... parking is limited, and we came about an hour before they closed. The bartender was wonderful and made some really good suggestions. First, we had the old-fashioned from the boozy menu, and the dos arbolitos fenn the fizzy menu. The la hara old-fashioned packed a lot of punch without being overwhelming. The dos arbolitos was sweet and fizzy with an aftertaste of rose water. Next, we had the jaztronaut, which reminded me of a ruby red grapefruit and the wintry cocktail that featured a sweetened brandy that made it pleasant with a hint of orange. The bartender did inform us that she and another coworker created the cocktail. It may not be on the menu when the weather changes. All in all... great place to go if you want a nice drink without all the frills. Just a great drink!
Ordered the dos arbolitos and jaztronaut for drinks.
Both were delicious. Also had the warm cheese plate to share. Unfortunately they no longer have a happy hour. Cute inside though.

3.5 rounded to 4 Came for a work lunch and it was fine, nothing that stood out for good or for bad. It's a small, cozy place that I think would be better for drinks, so I'm inclined to come back. I got to try the campanelle pasta which was surprisingly housemade and hit the spot for a good creamy dish. The cornichons and olives were just what you could get out of a jar so I wouldn't recommend getting them, but I did appreciate that the olives were seasoned somewhat differently.

Wow the food is fire; i had Ally as a server and she was so knowledgeable about all the food. She helped me decipher the best options for me(vegan) and she put me onto the eggplant sauce wow i got the brussel sprouts share plate and i had to get a second because of how delicious it is. Thank you for such a great experience Ally :)

The food was different we had the turkey pot pie and the duck fat fries. Out of the two the pot pie was the best, but was over all a little dry. The fries were good and the dipping sauces were excellent. Also somewhat hidden on the menu is a mock tale option!
This was a delightful dinner experience.
Had the warmed cheese plate, fettuccine, and a burger. We split everything and it was delicious. My friend commented that it was the best burger she's ever had. Cozy atmosphere and a great server.

Haven't been there, but that's 5 Stars for a hella cool name. I'm sure it's also a lovely spot.
Not going back.
Watch the check, they automatically add the tip on without saying anything. They have a policy of bringing out the plates one by one as they become ready. This means everyone at the table got their food at a different time. Then the waitress returns to tell me they had accidentally given my meal to another table and it would be another 20 minutes. The rest of the table had long been finished by time my food arrived anyway. Food was disappointing and the fare does not match the price for the quality and taste.
