Decent cuisine. However, the quantities are small. However, the staff were welcoming and helpful. The service is very quick. Compared to the Italian correspondent, something is missing.

Was part of a 10-person group dinner. Various starters and wine were ordered on arrival, all that I tried were tasty and fresh. Had Osso Buco with risotto as main course, classic but delicious dish. Great service and moderate prices. Full stars also partly attributed to the fantastic atmosphere in Eataly with live band and the delicacies lined up all around.

OMG i have an extremely excellent lunch experience there with my family. I would say everyone should have a try if you visit nyc.
Be the first to ReplyI would have expected more.
We were in NY during the Easter holidays, craving fish, we looked for and found this place, which is in fact a supermarket with two or three restaurants attached, prices are not popular, but in line for the big apple, we took some appetizers of fish, super spicy, and very American, beautifully rich in sauces, and various garnishes, the pasta with squid ink and prawns, sent back to the sender, badly cooked, and prepared worse, without saying that the pasta only tasted like eggs. 90% disappointed, The fried calamari was good.

Situated near the Flat Iron building this is an Italian fast food and seating restaurant. We only had coffee so can only comment on that but the Cappuccino and Double Espresso were both very good. The food looked very appetising too.

Just had coffee and sandwich for breakfast. Too late we walked to the rear of the building to find the most magnificent Italian food store and formal restaurant. It looked perfect
Be the first to ReplyNothing special โ high prices โ poor service
We had a late lunch at La Pizza &La Pasta at the Flatiron Eataly. We were disappointed. I had the rigatoni allamatriciana while my wife had the gnocchi dish. Both were just standard โ nothing special. Prices were high for the portions that we got. No bread on the table also. Service was pathetic โ server said that there was no hot tea as a pre-meal drink , while the dessert menu had teas. This place is a tourist destination.
Be the first to ReplyChaos with good food
La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly in the Flatiron district is a restaurant that has some great food but is brought down incredibly far by chaos and poor service. You have some amazing and flavorful Italian classics on the menu, but even basics like focaccia seem to be out every time we go. Itโs chaos from the moment you try to check in at the host stand to getting you to your packed and crowded table and then good luck eventually getting your order taken and your food served. Things like drink refills are a dream - and this is during a weekday mid-afternoon when it should be slower. If you can go to the Downtown Eataly you will have a much better experience overall with the same great food.

I did not realize how big it was from the outside. So many eating options and counters. I wanted to buy all the cheeses and pastas, but obviously that is not practical. There is not a lot of seating area, but if you like truly authentic Italian food or want to make it yourself, this place is for you.
Be the first to ReplyNice meal at Pizza and Pasta
We had been to Eataly in Boston previously, so we were excited to stumble upon this one while walking around the Flatiron district. We were hungry, so we ate at Pizza and Pasta and it was a decent meal overall. Service was good and we enjoyed our drinks; I had a glass of wine and my wife had a fun cocktail with sprinkles. Our meal was good too as I had pesto gnocchi and my wife had linguini with clams. The shop is good overall as well and we enjoy grabbing some stuff here that we can't find otherwise. It's a nice place overall and it's worth a stop in if you're in the area.

Fun, delicious, attentive kind service, and AMAZING food. We were seated immediately and our darling server brought waters and drink menus immediately. Our Spritzโs were refreshing and the pasta amazing. Will be back โ good to know they are everywhere!!

Frankly speaking the Italian food is really good, but the rest is a โnon- customer orientedโ. We were at Il Pesce, my Bronzino was good and my wife Cod fish was excellent. Service fast but not that friendly. How ever after eating this whole fish, I asked for a toothpick, and they said โNo haveโ in a spanish accent. I found it hard to believe, so I asked the other waiter, and weโll this place with over a million $ in stock, didnโt have toothpick. So we asked for 2 espresso with the check, and we were told for espresso or any coffe items we had to go to the Coffe Shop. Now how ridiculous is that. Anyway after have a 86$ lunch, we couldnโt finish it with nither a toothpick nor espresso. LOL.

Market is definitely busy and crowded. Loads of Italian products to choose from. Coffee excellent. Had to go back to do shopping before we left. Wish we had more room for products.

Thought that we were just walking into to a small coffee/gelato shop, had no idea how incredible it was inside. A great selection of international groceries, fresh items, restaurants, and more! It was fun to explore. I do wish that they had more seating up front for the coffee shop but overall it was a fun place to check out.
Be the first to ReplyWe were soooo looking forward to this!
Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience. People had raved and said this would be the best meal of the trip...but it was by far the worst. We were seated on a table right next to the thoroughfare, and basically got bashed every time a waiter or chef walked through with food or trolleys or whatever else. Our server basically ignored us once we ordered. We needed to ask for plates when food arrived; we weren't offered parmesan like other tables were; we had to ask another waiter for the bill as ours had disappeared. The burrata starter was delicious! - a real highlight. But the lasagne main was crusty round the edges, and the two other pasta dishes were almost like kids portions (but not priced that way) - and honestly nothing to write home about. We left without dessert feeling the whole place was pretty over-rated. Think there are a lot better places to eat in Manhattan unfortunately.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible lunch
Worst pasta ever out side of Italy. The atmosphere and surroundings are great but the food imitates 100% the worst Italian tourist traps all around Italy. The pasta ws supposed to have a salsiccia based sauce and it there was not anything near salsiccia in it. The waiter showed something looking like minced meat, not what I expected.. totally waste of money, take McD instead

We popped into Eataly after reading reviews and so glad that we did.. we had such a lovely lunch with beautiful food & great staff..It was a great experience and lunch was $22 for 2 courses which we thought was an amazing deal..The venue was fantastic and would highly recommend..

I have visited NYC many times, but had not discovered this gem of everything Italian, until yesterday. Lavazza coffee, a favorite of mine, is featured at one of the coffee bistros. One could barely move in the place on a Saturday afternoon; I made a point arriving early, when it opened, on a Sunday morning, and it was much more relaxed. Canโt wait to go back on my next trip.

Accommodating staff. Lot of choices for food and amazing view . :) Also recommended visiting 230-Fifth Rooftop Bar; and indeed! It was a very amazing unforgettable experience!

A great rooftop place to eat. The staff is very friendly, the food is excellent too. There is a good vibe here.
Be the first to ReplyDreadful. Not What it Used to Be
I am from the north of Italy and pre-Covid always got a fabulous, authentic meal here. I have learned lately always to ask everywhere if the pasta is served al dente, and the server looked at me like I was crazy and said of course al dente. I got a cold, mushy, overcooked plate of pasta, drowned in lemon, with a pile of enormous chunks of breadcrumbs which didn't belong on that dish and were awful. I never send food back, but this was inedible, and in fairness they prepared a new plate that still wasn't very good. $56 for that and a so-so glass of Vermentino. If I had served that to boss-man Joe, I think he would have fired me. Stay away if you know real Italian food.
Be the first to ReplyStunning Rooftop
We visited the rooftop restaurant at Eataly and were amazed by the floral arrangements draping the entire rooftop. Reservations are highly recommended. We did not have time to shop at the downstairs market at Eataly, but walking through was quite an experience. So many Italian delicacies and even micro-restaurants and bars so you can sip alcohol and shop! Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves gourmet Italian food, or just wants a beautiful rooftop experience.
Be the first to ReplyWait, are we not in Italy???
This place is amazing! We came every day of our 5 day stay in NYC. So authentic the only way you know you are not in Italy is that the staff speaks English. Incredible dining, pastries and every sort of Italian food item you could ever imagine. My favorite place in the city hands down. Lidia did well!
