Pleasant surroundings for an informal meal. Prices are reasonable and portions large. Dutch Babies (aka German pancakes) are the attraction. Even though my husband makes better ones.
Be the first to ReplyGo for prime rib
Have been to other Elmer's over the years and wanted to try this one. Heard about prime rib special for dinner so had to try it and it was excellent. Also had California Eggs Benedict with avocados also delicious. Service was prompt and courteous.
Be the first to ReplyOK food, Prices too high.
Tourists flock to this place. I'm not sure why other than the fact that there aren't many breakfast places in Palm Springs. I live very near there, and have eaten there several times out of convenience. The service is very nice, and the look is very New Jersey diner like. The food and prices, however, don't match up to that standard. The food is generally ok. Nothing special. The big problem is that after some recent price hikes, I'm not sure the value is still there. Like I said, the food isn't bad, but how much are you willing to pay for pancakes? I once tried their specialty, the German Pancake, because it looked so good in the photos. Unfortunately, it was a soggy, rubbery mess that I wouldn't get again. I would give the food here a 2.5 stars if I could, and the service a 3.5 stars.

Massive servings, I had the lingonberry German pancake and it was delicious. The lingonberry butter put it over the top, I'm still thinking about it. Lol It comes with eggs and meat and honestly, they don't need to be there because it's just too much. But it was delish! It was busy, but they moved people through efficiently. The service was excellent. I would recommend it for breakfast or brunch.

Service was great at this restaurant: friendly and efficient. The food was pretty good overall- some things better than others. The German pancakes were a highlight.
Be the first to ReplyGood diner food with an extensive menu and breakfast all day
We came here for one reason, I saw a picture of the cinnamon roll pancakes and had to try them. I was not disappointed. I only ordered a half portion which was plenty (two pancakes). The waiter also brought me double cream cheese frosting which was really good. I had a side of hash browns and those were just ok but it was a large portion. My wife had the turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. She loved the green beans the most and the turkey was moist. Overall a quality meal.

My husband and i stopped here for breakfast on our way to the Aerial Tram. It was pretty busy, but we were seated quickly. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was pretty good. I had the German pancake platter. The pancake is light with lemon and sugar. My husband had eggs benedict. We enjoyed our breakfast.

My family and I looked forward to eating at Elmer's restaurant since we had visited 2 years before. The food was reasonably priced and the kids enjoyed the food which is hard to find. However, our experience was anything but satisfactory. We had anticipated the homemade milkshakes and looked forward to those all day. But, we were told the new owner had come in October and revamped the menu and took milkshakes off the menu. Given it was late we stayed anyway. The kids ages 14 and 10 were tired an hungry. I was torn between a Rueben and breakfast but I hadn't had a good Rueben in a while and ordered. First of all everyone knows a Rueben is GRILLED. This wasn't. It came a little burnt and just toasted the grisly corned beef was heated in a microwave which turned it into rubber and overheated. It was inedible. I took off the meat and just ate a sauerkraut toasted sandwich. It was too late and we had to get the girls to bed. My granddaughter who order pancakes had to wait until we were leaving to get the grapes that came with her order. I felt sorry for the waiter, he was trying his best but you could tell he had been there for a long time and the new owner was making it difficult for him to earn a living.

We were looking for a place to stop on our drive from Sedona to Lax . We decided Palm Springs was close enough to get to the airport on time but far enough for a sensible break also. The food was delicious, the service friendly as advertised and the prices and parking easy. Definitely recommend for all travellers

Family of 5 visited on a Friday morning for Brunch. We were quickly seated after being given the option to dine inside or outside. Alex was our server and was great to deal with. The menu was extensive and he talked us through a couple of questions we had and was very patient while we deliberated on our final orders. Pleasingly, there were several gluten-free options to choose from and Alex kindly swapped out the biscuit for fruit on one particular dish. The meals were served promptly, were flavorsome, and of very generous proportions that kept us going all day. Would definitely recommend Elmers.

This hip-looking neo-diner seems to specialize in breakfast-type fare. My half sandwich of ham and cheese was pretty bland, and the salad that accompanied it was ordinary and small. My wife said her cobb salad was good and the portion large. Prices were high--usual for Palm Springs. Service was very slow, especially since we got there after 1:30 p.m.

We were looking for a nice family restaurant for brunch on the last day of our vacation. Elmer's was just lovely. We sat on an outside patio which was not noisy. Service was very good and the food was excellent.

Everyone loved their order. We did not have to wait on a Wednesday at 12:30 even though we were a party of 5.

This meal was DELICIOUS! Everyone in my group had an amazing meal. Great portion sizes. Super fast and friendly service. Three of us had breakfast for dinner. Highly recommend!

During recent trip to PS, Elmer's was utilized for Breakfast on two mornings. As part of a golf trip, accommodations were located near this restaurant. Elmer's was found to be neat, clean and staffed with great people. The environment was warm and friendly, the food was very good and the service a 9.5. Yes I would utilize Elmer's again when in the PS area.

I absolutely ๐ฏ love this place. It is always packed but we'll Worthington the wait. The German pancake is delicious and what I always order for breakfast

Good hot food at a fair price. We ate dinner with lots of options. Both indoor and outside dinning. Most morning you had to wait for seating.

We noticed this busy place on a Sunday when driving by, and stopped the next day for lunch. Hubby had the Reuben sandwich and I had the "lighter portion" Cobb salad. Both were excellent - Reubens chock full of meat and kraut on marble rye; salad full of goodness. Really liked that I could.get a smaller portion as finding just too much food at most places on our US travels. Their menu looks incredible for breakfast... if we can wake up hungry enough we will be back!!

Prompt, thorough, friendly service. Very clean. Great orange juice. Really the best breakfast I found in Palm Springs.
Be the first to ReplyGreat good
Guaranteed great food May be a bit of a wait especially for breakfast or brunch but the food will be worth the wait. Good selection from menu. Servers are knowledgeable and pleasant.
Be the first to ReplyVery rude waiter
The waiter turned us away because we asked about the service fee. We did not complain about it but we just asked for details and he just turned us away, practically shouted at us to leave. We are a group of Asians and I feel very discriminated against.
Be the first to ReplyElmerโs Is Good At What It Does
My husband and I have been in PS many times over the last decade, but we have never made it to Elmerโs. Itโs a very good place for breakfast. I had the avocado eggs Benedict: tasty. The fruit didnโt seem that fresh though. The coffee was strong and plentiful. The OJ was fresh. My husband had the eggs and bacon. He liked them, but he loved his biscuit. The service is friendly but brisk. They want you to eat and go. If you arrive after 8, you will probably wait.

THIS is our go-to place for excellent Dutch Babies! The food is always great here & the waitstaff pleasant & engaging. We had a nice conversation with the woman owner/manager who started working for Elmer's when she was in college in Idaho, then went on to be a district supervisor of Elmer's restaurants, before owning this location.
