Yummy but icky
Food was fabulous, cocktail amazing, service first rate. So you are wondering about the icky part... a mouse ran across the floor. Not once but twice. Hampered my dining experience..

Went for Sunday brunch in early afternoon. I had chicken sandwich which was delicious! Wife had omelette with ham. Priced reasonably, decor was very quaint. Pleasant experience with good service.
Be the first to Replygreat choice
Went for a late dinner, sat outside, lovely setting, good service. The grilled cheese was great and so was the key lime pie!
Be the first to ReplyGreat lunch option in Hoboken
Ordered the Wild Mushroom Quiche and it was the best I had ever tasted. My wife had the Quinoa/vegetable burger and my son the fish tacos and both were excellent.
Highly recommend this restaurant!
Had brunch on Easter Sunday
Had brunch on Easter Sunday and sat outside. Beautiful experience. Service was exemplary and friendly. Food was excellent and prices were so reasonable for the quality. In these times itโs such a struggle for restaurants and some take unfair advantage but here the owners are brilliant. Makes you so appreciative of dining out and really enjoying it. We will so be back here.
Be the first to ReplyManager is very rude
Been here at least 50 times , but made this week reservations for a group off 6 people and it was confirmed and all , later I wanted to make the reservation 30 min later and when I spoke to manager he said we will have only 1.5 for diner then leave the table ( and itโs Covid and this was for a birthday) no one had said that afternoon to me when I called . I told him all that and I said thatโs not going to work and he told me I was rude and to cancel the reservation and if I show up anyway he would call the police on me !!!
His name was Chris !
As well I had to repeat myself many times while he ask me questions, it seems like he didnโt have the intelligence to understand but let me repeat myself instead...
Very rude
Nice place for a bite
This is a nice place on a chill Hoboken corner, a lot of local people eat and have a drink around here. The chicken sandwich is the standout for me.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Relaxing Lunch In Hoboken
We stopped in for lunch, the place wasn't overly busy, the service and food was very good. the restaurant was decorated nicely and had a very laid back relaxing French Bistro feel.
We had a couple of Martini's and dined on Cheddar Melts, Sirloin Salad, Pomme Frites, and shared a Elysian Cafe Sundae, couldn't find anything bad about our lunch.
Would definitely go back...
Great Neighborhood Restaurant
The Elysian has a great menu, especially a large selection off the bar menu, which included a wide array. Whether it is the fish and chips, or french fare it always is tasty and hot. After tens of visits the service is alway spot on and there are three areas to dine in, The Salons, the bar or the outside street garden.

I understand this used to be a good place to have a casual meal. On a very nice evening we chose to eat outside. At the next table someone was smoking, something that is no longer allowed in Hoboken.
Drinks were fine with about a half dozen beers on tap and a number of wines by the glass.
French Onion Soup at $9.50 was okay, not the rich broth I was looking forward to.
We ordered to skirt steaks, $27, one rare, one medium. Both came out overcooked and dry. The server did take them back for new steaks. Both again came out fully cooked. The others in our group were already eating so even though we pointed out the way the steaks were cooked we kept them. The waiter said he would tell the owner/manager. Nobody ever came to check on us.
The strip steak $30 was ordered medium rare also was overcooked.
The salad with chunks of turkey and lardons. The salad was good but the lardons were inedible.
