Eno Vino Downtown Madison Reviews
Fantastic restaurant with great view of the capital
Fantastic restaurant. We started with cocktails at the bar which were excellent, and you get a gorgeous view of the Capital from there. The food is inventive and delicious. It's a tapas style restaurant and the portions are large so keep that in mind when ordering. Service was great and the staff is very friendly. Great all-around!

Atmosphere is relaxing and peaceful.

Nice lively (but loud) atmosphere with unique views of the Capital. Good drink selection and service. We've been here several times...food quality seems to be slipping.
Food was phenomenal and so was the service.
The nighttime view is one you can't beat. Will be back!

I never make reservations because I enjoy sitting at the tall tables on the bar side. Service is a pinch slower at this restaurant, but they are always extremely friendly. The view never disappoints. It's the crowd pleaser when guests are in from out of town. The selection of wines and specialty drinks provide an option for everyone. The Thai Chicken flatbread is my favorite dish in Madison. There is so much flavor in every bite, with the balance of ingredients to give the salty tangy sweet and a little spice. Had many other items from here but this always wins.
Cocktails with a view
This restaurant is gorgeous. The view is stunning, the ambiance perfection, the staff knowledgeable, and the cocktails on point!!!
View is great!! Overly busy and food is average.
Very noisy and chaotic!! Not what we expected.
Amazing views, super tasty food.
Make a reservation far in advance and expect to spend some money, but it's worth it.

Great spot for a nice dinner! Highly recommend the peanut brussel sprouts, charred cauliflower and one of the steak options (all good). Ambiance is casual but romantic, no dress code.
Great environment for group or date night.
The fries are the best. The staff was young but helpful.
Artistry with Food!
Such an amazing taste bud experience! Fabulous location in downtown facing the capital. The evening lights are enchanting! Restaurant is romantic & classy. The chefs outdid the food presentation. Hard to eat it looked so good. We decided to share our food so we could taste all of our choices. We ordered: charred cauliflower, tuna poke ( two orders because it was so good), goat cheese tortellini, lamb meatballs & the pork tenderloin. We enjoyed them all! Beautiful flavors. Thank you! Will be back for sure.

My family from California came to visit me and we had the best culinary experience we have ever had here. A food high, for sure! Everything was both delicious and beautiful. Pricier but definitely worth it for all the yummy food to share with the gorgeous view of the capital building. Go here if you're in Madison!
Worth It Make The Reservation
Eno Vino downtown is not only beautiful and sophisticated, but approachable. Perfect night to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. As these are shareable dishes we ordered 5, to get a good variety, and they kindly gave us a dessert for free. We ordered the chicken thigh kebabs, bistro filet, ahi tuna, pork tenderloin, lamb meatballs. The desert was the bread pudding with cinnamon ice cream. From the first bite, I knew this meal was not going to disappoint. The glazes and sauces complimented each dish and only enhanced the dish, never taking front and center over the protein. Each dish was plated as a painting. The food was perfectly cooked, perfectly timed. We never felt like we were getting too much. Our waiter was super attentive and kind. I would suggest the ahi tuna dish and lamb meatballs, actually I recommend everything. The view from the restaurant as it is on the 10th floor of the hotel, is breathtaking. Should we return to the Madison area, this will remind on top list.
BADger
Order a beef filet. Extremely dry and the most tasteless piece of meet I’ve ever had. It seemed past it’s safe date. They were nice enough about it but the food here is terrible.
Don’t tell them the wine is bad!
The food was delicious and the setting is magical with the view of the Wisconsin State Capitol. The reason I give a 3 is that when we condemned a bottle of wine for being bad, rather than bring us another bottle, the manager came out and tried to convince us that it wasn’t a bad bottle of wine and that our tastes aren’t quite sophisticated enough to enjoy a wine like that. We told him that 5 days before we had the identical bottle elsewhere and this one has turned, but he assured us that it was our tastes and not the bottle. 1 out of 10 bottles (corked) are naturally bad, so it wasn’t the restaurants fault at all. But how they handled it, not so great.
Beautiful Atmosphere, Nice Presentation
Make sure you have a reservation, as this place was crowded on a weeknight. This was a beautiful place with fabulous views of the capitol and lakes from the 10th floor location. Ordering small plates to share was a new experience, though our great server explained that they usually recommend two plates per person. The green beans served with cashews in a Thai peanut sauce were the highlight of our meal! We enjoyed our food and will probably return when we want a higher end dining experience in Madison. (Ladies, be sure to check out the beautiful women’s restroom!)

View is amazing- but not worth it for the sanitation and service. The bar tender manager made our drink that contained garnishments by reaching his hands into cups and placing the garnish into our drinks, Without noticeably watching hands. GROSS. Use tongs or toothpicks!
Shocked it was so disappointing
I ate here when it first opened, and it was amazing. Yesterday night, was disappointing to say the least. I NEVER go out to eat anymore these days, as I am disabled, so can't afford finer dining and stay away in general bc of my health and Covid. The last time I went out to eat was 12 months ago, for my lady's birthday, so it was a big deal to take her out for her bday again this year. I looked at online pictures of the food for about a month and had our picks so ready....she left hungry with basically only eating some odd carrots despite 4 dishes ordered. We got the langoustine risotto. That was the one dish that I thought was very good. She had a few bites of risotto, but wasn't having it; I guess that isn't your fault, just not her preference I guess. Unfortunately, the rest was subpar. The heirloom carrots had so many flavors that seemed to contradict each other with each bite. Sometimes it was spicy; sometimes an overly strong five spice or garam masala flavor? sometimes Latin flavors? sometimes just so complex it left you wondering what you were eating. The onions over dominated your tastebuds initially, and was tough to enjoy. We also ordered the two steak dishes on the bottom of the menu. We were so pumped for it....horrible. Really? Yes. Both Extremely over-salted. We made it known that one was for me (med rare), and hers would be medium well. Mine came first, cooked right inside, but each bite had an over charred flavor. That's all I tasted. And you guys should give out steak knives when served, as the knife provided was very dull and was not enjoyable sawing or pushing thru the steak to cut up, despite not really being a tough piece of meat. The Romano potatoes had a funky flavor that just tasted like the earth or something. I have never not finished mash potatoes out for dinner, especially with any cheese in them, and honestly stopped after I actually gagged on the last two bites. Still trying to put on a smile for my lady....as she watched me eat my steak and hers came after I was done. It was still raw in the middle, nowhere near med-well. Our waitress, was very concerned and looked shocked and commented that it was almost blue it was so raw. She took it back. 10 minutes later, another came back, still very very red in the middle. She didn't touch it. She had enough and was just frustrated. I felt so uncomfortable for her. So she basically ate some odd carrots and went home hungry. It was much appreciated that the waitress comped her steak, and gave her some dessert to go home with. Kudos to her, she was the only thing positive last night except for the ambiance. So disappointing however.

Good food.
Excellent service and view. Rather pricey for what you recieve but that's par for the course. The smoked salmon bruschetta is a stand out.

We have been to eno vino a few times before but the most recent time was a disappointment. The truffle fries were subpar and soggy but the sauces were great. The bistro filet was not worth the price and there was more kale than meat although it did taste good. The bruschetta was good particularly the salmon one. I recommend that whole heartedly. Unfortunately, the poke poke might have been the worst dish I have ever eaten. It was thirty dollars and I am being generous when comparing it to cat food. There was a huge portion which was too fishy with probably 8 chips on the side. I am only writing this to save people from our mistake of ordering the poke poke. Drinks, atmosphere, and view were excellent!
Delicious delicious delicious! This is a "small plate"
Delicious delicious delicious! This is a "small plate" concept with incredibly tasty options. In my past tapas experiences, the small plates are usually a lot smaller and cheaper. These platings have a higher price point, but the portions are considerable size and the quality is most definitely there. Every dish I tried came out looking like a piece of art...fantastic presentation and taste to follow it up! I was just visiting the city and I'm so glad I stopped by. I will be going again on my next trip to Madison! This restaurant is on top of the Marriott hotel. It also has such a beautiful view of the Capitol building! I had a great experience from the moment I arrived, had a wonderful server, and truly enjoyed a decadent time dining.
I've been here many times.
Awesome view! Great service! They really need to up their game regarding food though. Many of their items just don't taste good (e.g., poke) or taste a bit too burnt (e.g. fries) or deep fried.

The restauraunt is located on the 10th floor of the AC Hotel. The overall environment of the restaurant is nice with a nice view of the Capitol. We ordered based on what seemed popular from Yelp and server recommendations. The calamari fries were my favorite! The braised short ribs were good as well, not chewy at all. The bruschetta was good but not amazing. I thought the flavors were ok. The lobster was nice but it took a long time to come out and it was overly sweet in my opinion. The service was nice but a little slow. We went on Christmas so that may be the reason why. Overall, it is a nice place to celebrate special occasions in Madison if you're looking for a place that has shareable plates. A little pricey but understandable for the ambiance you're getting. Thankful that they were open during the holidays.
What a wonderful place for a great date! My wife and I
What a wonderful place for a great date! My wife and I had our first night here recently, and it's easy for me to say that "we'll be back"! It was **awesome** - great wine, delicious and impressive dishes, amazing views, and most importantly, absolutely fabulous table service (thank you, Annika!), Highly, highly recommended! Thanks, Eno Vino!
Really enjoyed everything about this restaurant! Great
Really enjoyed everything about this restaurant! Great server for starters. Allison was so personable and helped guide us through a perfect meal. We enjoyed the Tomatoe Bisque, Green Beans, Mushroom Sausage flatbread, beets, scallops/sea bass and espresso martinis. The tomato soup was the start of the show. best I've ever had. Enjoyed the green beans and beets as well! Seanad was wonderful if you are going fish route. Pizza was good, would recommend trying their Thai pizza over mushroom sausage

Eno vino always has great food and great drinks! My favorites tonight were the calamari fries, poke poke, and chicken thighs. I got the beetle juice drink and an espresso martini and both were delicious. The service was great and accommodating. Definitely rec for a nicer madison restaurant.
Bad service, meh value
Was there for a business dinner. The main dining hall is scenic (great view of the Capitol) but quite noisy; the bar area was very noisy. We needed some flexibility, and the interaction with the host was not great. One member of our party was vegan, ordered from the vegan menu. His order of vegan fries was brought in with cheese on top; after these were sent back, his order of vegan salad was brought in with bacon. Other than this major hiccup, service was mediocre. Food was pretty good, although portions are small and several dishes are not remarkable at this price point. Won't be going back, plenty of great options in Madison for the budget.

Fantastic night out with my gal pals!!! We shared many laughs, downed a few tasty drinks and absolutely crushed this meal! What's not featured here is the presentation when the chef came to our table to showcase their creation. This filet was cooked to perfection and did not disappoint! We also had fabulous service and would highly recommend for a special occasion or GNO!!!
