Disappointed
I have been a dedicated patron since the days they were in Putney and always sang their praises but last night Iโm afraid all that changed. The service was very good (although one of the waiters kept knocking, gently mind you, my back when walking by) the attention from the legendary Mr Turi and wife was fine, but Iโm afraid the food, the main reason we kept coming back, was a real disappointment. The meat my wife had was lovely, (ยฃ45!!) perfectly cooked and tender but vaguely surrounded by uncooked potatoes! My agnolotti โdel Plinโ a total disappointment, tiny hard parcels of pasta with a tasteless filling that I had with a sprinkling of bianchetto truffle (10.50!) also rather tasteless in an improbable mush of buttery water was not worth eating (grateful for not having been charged!), the ravioli, frankly average @ยฃ25.50 that replaced them were also nothing to boast about. And three slices of quite nice Parma ham @ยฃ28.50 (!), a small burrata @ยฃ19.50 plusโs some rather lovely and well paired wines (total of 6 glasses and not from anywhere near the high end of the well stocked cellar) added to the list, brought a bill of ยฃ310.22 Now I have eaten beautifully at a few places in and outside London with or without Michelin stars but rarely have I been shocked at a bill usually commensurate to the quality of the food and the service. Itโs a great pity that what used to be my favourite Italian restaurant in London has become this: an overpriced, overrated frankly mediocre place where the best things are the service (4*) and the (overpriced) wine list (5*).

I went there over the weekend, first of all the restaurant is beautiful, the staff took great care of us and were really nice, friendly and knowledgeable! Anywhere we looked, the food looked absolutely amazing and other guests seemed to really enjoy it! It was difficult to choose what to have. What we selected was absolutely lovely and the presentation of the plates was as lovely as the taste! I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back soon!

A family run business , with exceptional food , and a great selection of wines. Amazing service , fast and friendly. They make you feel just like at home. Definitely going back.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food, let down by strange, slow service
A good, not excellent Italian restaurant. Food was good, but portion sizes are small. The whole thing was let down by the strange, chippy service. The only standout feature was the size of the bill which was very OOT for the quality of the food and poor service.
Be the first to ReplyHorribly slow service - decent food
Decent food on the expensive side - but nice setting. Unfortunately service, is simply really slow and unresponsive. Took 45 min to even bother taking the order for deserts even though we asked 3 times.

An excellent venue with superb food, wine and service. Freshly foraged mushrooms to start followed by delicately cooked liver. Washed down with a very nice Barolo and very reasonably priced, especially given the quality.
Be the first to ReplyA bit of a let down!
I have been here twice before and enjoyed both experiences, however this visit was a let down. We had a Burrata and fig starter which was average and the bread was not fresh. However, my risotto was oily and heavy and a completely different dish to that I had a week earlier (maybe a change of chef in the kitchen?). My son had calves liver and it was again very oily and sickly. We had a desert and as we both got home we felt unsettled as a result of the heavy food with oil. The experience would not endear me to return which is a real shame.

Excellent food and superb service. We we were celebrating my sons graduation and they excelled in all departments. My son has a nut allergy and they ensured that his meal was prepared so that there was no chance of nut contamination. This is a top quality restaurant which goes out of its way to satisfy customer needs
Be the first to ReplyTRIPLE THREAT ; food - service - ambience . Perfect !
A wonderful dinner with 2 old friends. Cool and welcoming, friendly and efficient service and every dish we ordered was excellent . Refined Italian food in a sophisticated setting. Bravo ! When I read some of the earlier negative reviews , I thought that they were reviewing a different restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyBad experience
The food was average, not worth these prices. I have never ordered wine and got a glass of wine without pouring it from the bottle on the table?! They added items on the bill that we didnโt order! It was ยฃ150 more than it should be. Will never go there again even if the food was good. Something was off , such a rip off . Very disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyOver charging and poor service
My visit was on 14th June. Hosting two friends for dinner. Arrived 19.30 before many other diners. Service was poor. We had to ask three times for pre dinner drinks orders to be taken and for bread to be given to us. Service staff walking around appear to 'not see' when I signalled for their attention, Seemed to look in the far distance rather than at the tables to check if anyone was trying to catch their attention. I ordered two Bellini and one Prosecco. The Bellini cost over ยฃ13.00 each and when they arrived were barely half a flute of pinkish fluff. The fluff had very little flavour and there was no discernible Prosecco. My other guest had a full flute of Prosecco The meal was served quite well and we were asked a couple of times if everything was all right. I had monkfish which was a very small portion and rather dry and tasteless. It was accompanied by a mixed vegetable dish described as a kind of Italian ratatouilles. However, it was actually like jam....very, very sweet and I did not think it a good combination with the fish. At the end of the meal I tried several times to flag down a waiter in order to get the bill and eventually had to stand up and approach a staff member directly in order to get attention. The bill for 3 of us came to over ยฃ250 and I do not think represented good value for money The ambiance is very pleasant. Tables well spaced apart. Air con at just the right level.

Really good service, food, ambience - everything was excellent. No gimmicks as other london restaurants, just nice refined italian food. Would probably say the best italian restaurant been so far.

We visited Enotecca Turi recently & I gave it 4 stars although to be honest we were a little disappointed that it was not the experience we were hoping for & I did not bother to write a review. I have now had second thoughts & perhaps Pamela & Guissepe might like to take my comments on board. A friend in Italy had recommended the restaurant to us & we had seen the favorable reviews. We booked lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our daughter & grandson & were very much looking forward to our first visit to this restaurant. We had a nice corner table near the kitchen & I ordered a glass of Prosecco each for myself & my grandson whilst we studied the menu. The waiter then removed all the other wine glasses from the table & from that point onwards I was not offered any wine with my food. Is there no sommelier on duty at lunchtime? The duck hangout pasta was a hit with everyone. My rabbit main course was fine but the beef that my wife & grandson had was rather fatty which you don't expect when you are paying ยฃ38.50 for a piece of meat. We had sides of green beans, deep fried courgettes & sautee potatoes which were all very nice. The tiramisu for dessert was rather disappointing. Whilst we thought the staff were quite pleasant & friendly we were disappointed that at no time did they ask us if we were happy with our food. Did we catch them on an off day? We were hoping that this would be the first of many visits but my wife & I are undecided whether to give them a second try. Apologies for the misspelling. Should be duck ragout.

A superb, family-run restaurant - the dedication to hosting, service, providing great Italian dishes and amazing wines in a relaxing ambience is second to none. Perfect gin martinis to start whilst studying the extensive menu and wine list. The ravioli filled with pumpkin, parmesan and amaretti was amazing - such tender pasta and tasty filling. Pappardelle with neck of lamb was a great choice and the venison with red cabbage was absolutely wonderful. Pear poached in sweet recioto wine and home made ice creams rounded off a meal which was faultless. Definitely dining here again in the New Year and wouldn't hesitate a millisecond to recommend!!
Be the first to ReplyUnforgettable Italian family-run restaurant with so much heart
So much was fantastic at Enoteca Turi it is hard to know where to start! First off, the welcome and the restaurant team, you can really tell this is a family-run restaurant full of love and warmth in all they do. Within 5 minutes I felt I was part of the family, and I couldnโt wait to come back again.
We asked advice from our waiter on what to drink and eat and we were not disappointed in the slightest. We had wine pairing with each course, and they chose beautifully for each.
The food was incredible! Iโm getting hungry writing this review and my mouth is watering thinking of the food once again. I had the parmesan tasting, which was so fun to taste the difference. Then for starters crab spaghetti. I have tasted quite a few crab spaghettiโs in my life time and this one did not disappoint - it was unbelievable, not a shell in sight all the flavours were so well balanced. I then had the Agnolotti with braised meats for main it blew my mind. To finish the meal, I had the pistachio tiramisu, I have never had anything like it, it was stunning. Each course was beautifully presented and beyond delicious. If it wasnโt rude to lick plates I would have!
I would go back in a flash, and I would reorder the exact same meal! It was truly a memorable evening.
On a side note in regards to covid safety, I have had to shield for over a year so I am a little weary of dining out still. I felt completely safe at Enoteca Turi they had taken great precautions in making sure all were safe.
Thank you to the Enoteca Turi team for such a fantastic evening. I look forward to returning soon
Superb dinner!
We had an amazing dinner here recently. Everything was perfect. The owners of this restaurant are true hosts and itโs rare to see these days. They make you feel incredibly welcome on arrival and throughout. The service was spot on. Very attentive and friendly with high attention to detail. The food exquisite - fresh pasta - I had a delicious Ragu after my scallops. The wine list very interesting. It was a perfect evening which was faultless and I canโt wait to go back!
Be the first to ReplyFine but not for veggies, and overpriced
This restaurant is in a great location and the food is OK, however if you are visiting with anyone who is veggie/vegan give this place a miss. There are barely any options, and the food is very pricey for the small portion that arrives. The omnivores amongst us liked most of the food but probably wonโt be coming back soon because nothing too special.

Dinner for 2 here recently, wonderful restaurant, superb wine list and menu. Absolutely delicious great quality food. Attentive staff and overall a great experience, highly recommended.

I had to laugh at the previous review stating that, while Enoteca Turi was still very good, it used to be better as it was very, very good for us. If it was better, it would've deserved at least a couple of รฉtoiles. Food is pricey but I gave it five stars on value based on the wine. We had a bottle of 2018 LaRocca Soave Classico 2018 which was one of their by the glass wines. Vivino rates this as a 4.2 of 5, among the top 1% of wines in Soave and the world. It was an outstanding value for a London restaurant wine. We had the rabbit main, duck pasta and a scotch mushroom antipasti (I think it was called Scottish as it had an egg on it.) All were excellent. Presentation was nice but more of French country cooking than Paris elegance. We had rabbit which is more of a peasants meal. My wife was chasing succulent bit around the plate long after the rabbit was gone.
Be the first to ReplyVery good but could do better!
Oh dear! What has happened to enoteca Turi? Service a bit chaotic with either too many or too few staff at our table - missed pouring a glass of wine for one of party, never received tea, waited slightly too long for mains. Food was good but has lost its truly unique and exquisite flavour and presentation we have experienced in the past both at Putney and Pimlico. Still a lovely place to go for good, now slightly over priced, food. The wine list is extensive, our wine was good value and enjoyable. Staff attentive and friendly when not in chaos. I'm sure this is a blip in current circumstances and cannot imagine how difficult it has been over last 16 months. Looking forward to coming back soon and seeing progress.
Be the first to ReplyIf I could, I'd give it a 10 star rating
I chose Enoteca Turi for my intimate wedding lunch and it was a brilliant choice! Everyone of our guests complimented on the location, the restaurant, the food, drinks and service. If I could give 10 start, I honestly would because there was not one single thing that wasn't professionally catered for. We booked the downstairs private room which was impeccable, very tastefully decorated. We had a choice of different dishes which everyone found delicious, and the wine is divine. I am myself Italian and, believe me, this is an excellent restaurant.
Pam's help beforehand was precious in choosing the right wines and menu, the cake, seating and flower arrangements. Her attention to details is fabulous and I am forever grateful to her, Manuel and the team for having made my special day simply perfect.
