This little place takes food seriously but has a lot of fun doing it. When we visited for lunch, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. For a starter we shared an “avocado surprise,” which is tuna in an avocado and breaded and fried, garnished with a shiso leaf and surrounded by soy sauce and sesame oil. This was a delightful combination of soft avocado and crunchy exterior with the raw fish inside. Each bite has a different blend of flavor and it truly was a surprise! For mains I had the Tuna tartare and she had the grouper filet. Both of these dishes were great. The grouper had a delicious sauce and was served with fennel and rice. The tartare had more raw tuna and more avocado, but it was different from the starter. I also had a side of fries, which were crispy and salty and delicious. Good spot with good service and fun. Reasonable prices for Gustavia, which means expensive, but the quality was worth it.

Excellent food and service. The octopus was very flavorful, all our dishes were well prepared and fresh. It is a small and hard to find place. Reservations are recommended.

Off the main drag. Small but neat and clean. Pick your lobster. Cooked to perfection. Arlene had Mahi that was also delicious. Homemade fries (french, naturally) didn’t need ketchup.

Back at Johnny Laplace's foodie niche space where his fish creations are always a treat. In dozens of meals here, it's never disappointed. Along with the excellent seafood fare, desserts and cocktails are also great. This place is a favorite of locals and tourists. They also do on-site villa catering.

Be the first to ReplyDelightful meal, albeit a bit pricey
St Barts was a destination port on our cruise. We were wandering around town after an earlier excursion and stumbled upon the Fish Corner as we looked down the alleys off la rue de la République. The shady location appealed and the menu looked promising. The ambiance is casual. Cut-off jeans seemed to be de rigeur, but the service was friendly and efficient. We both had the special starter of the day, tuna tataki with avocado and some kind of green sauce. I followed that with grilled octopus with new potatoes, scrumptious. My wife sat out the main course. With a glass of La Rouillere rosé, a bottle of San Pelligrino and a Coke Zero, the bill came to €106—not cheap, but you are in St Barts. I was a little miffed when the server asked if I wanted to add a tip; I’d already checked that (like France) the bill showed “service inclus”. But I’m not to going not any points off.

A charming small restaurant tucked away from the crowded street, the Fish Corner delivers authentic, sophisticated cuisine with perfect service, beautiful presentations, and a great wine list. It’s our new favorite restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Don’t miss it, and make a reservation!

Although at first glance this appears to be a mere hole in the wall, don't let appearances deceive. Fish Corner is a superlative culinary experience in St Barts, known to local and visiting cognoscienti. The food offerings are superlative and never disappoint, and Mona, the server, is delightful.

The food and service was excellent. The location is charming. It’s a little Hard to find which is part of the charm. Can’t wait to visit it again!

Casual. Really friendly staff. Great food. What else would you want in a lunch spot. I had the Mahi fish and chips which were great and my wife had the snapper which was delicious. Don’t miss the Guacamole app the chips it comes with are incredible. Would go back there next time we are in Gustavia.

My wife and I had lunch. We both had the mahi fish "n chips. Not the fanciest dish, but we both agreed best we've had. The mahi has a great crunchy crust, is thick and the inside was perfectly done. Little hard to fine this place, but well worth it.

This small restaurant that's easy to miss is "très sympa" and you eat well with dishes that showcase fresh seafood in creatively executed preparations. The service is pleasant and attentive and the ambiance relaxed and unpretentious.

Went here twice for lunch, superb each time, excellent service. Very casual, a little hard to find the first time but well worth it, very reasonable prices.

I had another really excellent lunch at Fish Corner. Everyone in this place is so nice and welcoming. The fish is great and reasonably priced for Gustavia. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Go!
Be the first to ReplyA good, reliable meal at reasonable prices
Fish Corner is a good, reliable lunch spot. The service was excellent (high point of the lunch). The food was good, but not particularly outstanding. The salads and ceviche were standouts. The mahi mahi was not so impressive. Perhaps we just got a cut that was not great? We would go back. In fact, we almost went back a second time today. That said, we lean positive given how good the service was and the fact that there are not a lot of options for lunches in Gustavia. This one seems to be the best bet.
