Excellent Georgian cuisine with an expansive indoor seating area
Oda House provides excellent Georgian (the Caucus region, not the southern US state!) cuisine with an expansive indoor seating area. I'd never had Georgian dishes before, so we tended to order items that were the most popular & traditional. The Khinkali Julien (a cheese-filled dumpling) and Imeruli (flatbread stuffed with Georgian cheeses: think the local variant of pizza) appetizers were both excellent. The house special salmon (topped with cheese) and Chakhokhbili (chicken with various spices) were also excellent. We toped off our meals with very good dessert cakes (Ideali & Maya's).
In addition to all these Georgian specialty meals, the restaurant also has Georgian wines and even Georgian sodas. There's lot of socially distanced tables inside the restaurant, so we didn't feel crowded. A good dining choice for a different ethnic cuisine.
Amazing! Ignore the fact the menu looks complicated food is outstanding
Came here on a business colleagues recommendation. I was nervous after looking at the menu as I didn’t see anything that appealed to me or my husband. We were so wrong!!!! Service is amazing. She recommended all of the items we left full and beyond satisfied. Also the price point was very reasonable! Heads up beer and wine only here.

Tripped upon this fairly new neighborhood gem and so happy we did. Dined here for the first time on Valentine’s Day which is not a great day to judge any restaurant. This place hit the mark on all. First the atmosphere is romantic and cozy with a great bar room as well as 2 other dining rooms. Our server Inga was great, friendly , helpful in explaining the menu. She helped us pick a great wine as we were not familiar with wines from that region. The food was absolutely incredible. The flavors were delicate and balanced. If you are looking for a special gem of a place without all the normal choices this is your place. Already made my next reservation. Can’t wait!

Amazing and authentic cuisine from the country of Georgia. I especially loved the traditional unfiltered Georgian wine. So good. The traditional dishes were fun to try.
Be the first to ReplyOver rated, mediocre at best and expensive
We went to Oda house for dinner, based on all the reviews I had read. The restaurant has very attentive staff and good service, but the food is average and lacks taste and flavor. We ordered the dumplings, bread, the veggie spread, and salad. The salad was the best of all the appetizers and the only one with flavors. For main entree we ordered a lamb dish, kebabs, and a cold chicken dish with walnut sauce that came with hot polenta topped with cheese. All overage and bland in my opinion.
I guess this appeals to average person who has not eaten Georgian food before. I definitely won’t go back, there are better restaurants in NY and other boroughs for Georgian food.
Neighborhood gem 🤗
Absolutely amazing food, service is great, very friendly and attentive! Unfiltered natural wines are must try! I don’t have words to describe how good it is, you must go and try it!
Be the first to ReplyHappy news for our neighborhood
My husband and I live in the neighborhood and have despaired of finding moderately priced, interesting, and accommodating restaurants. Oda house has changed that. We ate there tonight, for the first time, and we'll be back many times. I had a grilled Branzino, which was perhaps the best Branzino I've ever had. My husband had a
lamb dish which was also excellent. To start, we shared a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and walnuts. That too was excellent. We will be back and we believe this might be our go to restaurant from now on in.
Great Georgian Place
Glad that Uper East Side is finally getting it’s Georgian restaurant. The food is out of this world, especially the hinkhali and khachipuri (also my recommendation is satsivi)! Also there are a lot of waiters so the service is timely and good!
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic Georgian fare—delicious!
If you like traditional Eastern European fare, Oda House’s Georgian fare is an excellent choice—Possibly better for fall/winter, though, as it’s very hearty with large portions. Gracious, through staff as well. The only caveat: service is a bit slow, although we were a large group & went on a weekend night. Might be a better option on a weeknight?
