This is a beautiful restaurant.
The food was excellent. We loved the Milanese dishes offered. We would go again.

This place came recommended to us by our hotel, it was a lovely place with an unreal view! The food was great, but wasn't anything that left us wanting to come back for more. I will say the dessert was spectacular, both treats were done perfectly and were the perfect palette cleansers . Staff was professional and accommodating. I would give this place 3.5 stars for the dessert!

Bait and Switch!! Beware!! We had a very bad experience at this place. We made a reservation for a table overlooking the Duomo, for which they took our credit card information. When we arrived we were on the hook for a charge, and they told us sorry, no tables in the view room, and they stuck us in a back room with no view. Food was ho-hum and wine overpriced. We felt ripped off. Caveat emptor.

Fine dining at its best! With a spectacular view of course! We enjoyed the immense attention to detail by every staff member! The bao buns should not be missed! The lobster pasta was what I ordered and I was not disappointed in taste, flavor or portion. The risotto was rich, the wine was perfectly recommended and paired well with all our food selections. Ugh, take me back! Highly recommend!

" We did & have an excellent meal & bottle of wine too. Service was attentive & on point. I'd definitely go back.
Be the first to ReplyBy far my favorite restaurant in Milano.
The food is excellent and best view in the city. Can't beat it if I am in Milano I am here. Can't wait to come back! Ciao

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to!What a setting! The wine was wonderful and the food complemented it very nicely. So I ordered a veggie (and mushroom) lasagna and it was amazing. The wine we ordered was on the top 2% of wines in Italy according to my wine app. So good! Our staff was attentive, and kept our glasses full. For desert ai ordered the tiramisu. Wow. Like no other. A specialty chocolate on top. Nothing could top it!!!

We were 5 persons and 2 of us has got the meal 20 (!) minutes later than the other 3 of us. Awful service. Didn't even get the first drinks we have ordered. The meal was ok but nothing special. Would not recommend the lunch here. The only satisfactorily part of our dinner was one of the four different desserts we have ordered. The chocolate cake was sensational but the other desserts were very poor and tasteless. Maybe it's nice for a coffee and the chocolate cake only - if you must see the cathedral. Poor service anyway.
Be the first to ReplyView was incredible.
Chefs complimentary eggplant/ricotta appetizer bite was the best of the apps, others were too salty. Risotto was prepared well, but not remarkable. Pork had a nice sauce.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is a must eat when visiting Milan.
The food being unbelievable would be a understatement. Veal Milanese is the most incredible dish I've had. The frutti de mar best I've ever had. Saffron risotto rich flavor covers your pallet like the most intensely fresh flavor. It was more then a pleasure did I mention the view of duomo square entrance to gallerie and duomo. If you don't eat here in Milan you haven't been to Milano Grazie
Be the first to ReplyGiacomo Arengario was very, very good.
We had the White Sea Bass served with "crunchy vegetables." The portion was small and the vegetables were cold, which was not mentioned by server. However the quality was excellent. We also had a side of Caprese Salad and a mushroom pasta plus red wine by glass. It was all excellent. View was spectacular. ย We had a very enjoyable experience and would recommend.

I knew the view would be amazing (it's why we went), and while I hoped the food would be good (I also knew it would be expensive), it was about celebrating us and romance. The view was great, but the food was DELICIOUS! And the service... I just hope you get Salvatore when you go, because honestly he treated us like he was entertaining us in his own home: changed us to the best table in the restaurant, advised us very knowledgeably on each plate, advised us - again very knowledgeably - about wine selection (which I have never asked for before, paired beautifully, and was well within our budget), and, later, treated us to a Grappa tasting and comparison based on the one we had asked for. Seriously, this guy was a delight, and made the evening. ย They have an extensive wine list, with some very reasonably priced wines. The food was far better than I expected. I ordered the ravioli "carbonara-style", which turned out to have the yolk in each ravioli! Amazing, and delicious! Sweetie had risotto which was GTFO good. We both had the steak, which I imagined would be good. It was, quite literally, the best I've ever had (& this from a guy who has eaten steak from NYC to Cape Town). Amazing!Yes, its expensive, but seriously we had a ball, ate like Kings & Queens & were treated like such. Definitely worth going!
Be the first to ReplyHonestly, yes, this place is expensive.
But it's also a gem. Located on the last floor of the Novecento (20th Century) Museum, with sweeping views of the Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuelle, and a dรฉcor reminiscent of a 1920's speakeasy, it doesn't get much classier than this.I mean, do you know of any authentic bar-restaurants in the Duomo area that are beautifully decorated, delicious, relatively calm, and open 7 days a week? I think that's more than worth the โฌ15 cocktail. This place is an island of peace in an area of the city that is bat-sh** crazy. Seriously, I went on a Saturday night when there were rivers of people in the piazza and hour-long lines to get into the Novecento Museum and the Palazzo Reale. And you know what? This place was quiet, the service was marvellous, and the cocktails splendidly done. Pro-tip: skip the line to get into the museum and just tell the doorman you're going to the bar. He'll let you right in, much to the chagrin of the poor souls waiting in the cold and rain. Take a left immediately upon entering the building and look for the elevator across from the bookstore and under the spiral. The aperitivo was very generous: large black and green olives, octupus salad, risotto bites, and plenty of finger-food. And the Moscow Mule was creative and unlike any other MM I've tried before. This place has it all (even if it is a tad expensive).

It is a very expensive restaurant but for special occasions it's one of the best in Milan. We always receive good service. The waiter was so kind, always with a big smile, remembered us from a couple months ago and remembered what we had ordered before! We only had to wait less than a minute for our reserved table to be ready. The waiter knew it was my birthday and that I wanted a slice of the infamous giacomo bomba (a flaky crunchy cake oozing layers of whipped cream and tiny strawberries) and he made sure to save a special slice saved for me because there was a large party that had ordered all the desserts. The other dessert they're famous for is their chocolate salted cake. They have a good bartender at this location so whether you want a cocktail or wine or a cappuccino, everything is good.I know other people had bad experiences here, but I've been to three of their locations and at least four times to this one and have never had a bad experience.
Be the first to ReplyBasically disappointing.
Food is really bad, service is really bad. It is as if they don't care about anything because they have location advantage. The view is nice if you are lucky enough to be in the front room. If not, then a total ripoff. Even if you have the view, doesn't worth it. Btw, very expensive place.
