Delicious.
Diego is amazing and friendly. He knows exactly how to make your tummy happy. Very moody but playful ambience in the restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food! I always love ordering the toasts as an app.
The apps are great, the drinks excellent, and the mains never disappoint. and it's in a buzzing new area of Hollywood called the Sycamore District. It's a hidden gem, but for those who know of it (including A-list movie stars) know that it's a fun place to go for tasty French fusion.

The steak frites was one of the best I've ever had.

Great food, and great cocktails! The whole team and overall service leave nothing to be desired. 10/10.

I was there last week and on my receipt I had double charges on an entree. When I asked the waiter, they were not even apologetic about it. Food is great but the attitude of some of the staff is very inappropriate. It's such a shame because the staff is what brings the place down. This is my second time here in the past month and i won't be retuning. Please check your receipts and have no trust in the staff

My friends and I do monthly dinners, and someone in the group recommended we go here - it was a convenient favorite of her's. Gigi's might be a tiny spot, but the drinks and the food bring big flavors. It was a very welcoming and relaxed environment. We saw a couple groups and friends sitting at the bar grabbing drinks. Our server's name was Theo, he gave excellent drink recommendations that did not disappoint. He was incredibly friendly and was super fun to engage with. His energy made for a good time for our first experience here. We had a little bit of everything - the fresh baguette with salted butter, their perfect French fries with a delicious aioli, the steak tartare, chickpea fritters, diver scallop crudo, the little gem salad, the roasted half chicken and the cavatelli. When I tell you everything tasted amazing, everything tasted amazing. They will 100% be seeing me again.

Worst service and food choices ever!! Even the bartender was unfriendly.... Ordered chicken and the meat was pink.

Outdoor. The menu is diverse and creative. I've been there several times and never been disappointed. Outdoor seating is terrific

The staff is extremely rude. Also, we all know what just happened recently in how they treat Spanish speakers.

Ok wow! Never thought a French restaurant would offer so many delicious vegan options! First off it's beautiful inside and outside. Ordered a few starters, because I couldn't choose one of course. The Corn Fritters with a Calabrian Chili Aioli, Summer Squash and a new seasonal dish, the Roasted Beet Salad. Both the Summer Squash and Beet Salad were served perfectly cold and you could tell everything was freshly prepared. I'm a beet lover so this dish looked too perfect to eat, but I couldn't stop digging in after the first bite. Same with the Summer Squash, if I was served vegetables this was when I was younger, I would have been plant based sooner. The Corn Fritters were really tasty, especially with that Calabrian Chili Aioli. A nice crunch on the edges too! The main dish was the Cavatelli, which you can order without the Parmesan. Such a delicious pasta that I would actually order again. The noodles, spinach and mushrooms always work so well together and the way they prepared this dish was done so beautifully. Art is served here forsure.

Gigi's is a french restaurant that does a small seasonal menu. Food review:Steak frites - the first time we went here they have filet mignon for the steak frites, but my most recent visit I'm not sure what cut it was, but there was a stringy piece in the middle of it that wasn't very appetizing. Aside from that, it's cooked perfectly and tastes great. The fries are crispy. They serve this with an au poivre sauce and it's perfectly seasoned and goes well with the steak. Sweet potato croquettes - Really enjoyed this dish I just wish there was more of it. You get 3 tiny pieces. Strawberry crisp - this was pretty good and definitely needed the crispy coconut on top.Basque cheesecake - wasn't a huge fan of this. It was eggy and a little too firm for my liking, but if you pair it with the strawberry crispy, it makes it betterBread w/ caviar butter - Bread was really good but I didn't care for the caviar butter that muchCocktail Shrimp - Shrimp is big and perfectly cooked. It's chilled and served with a great cocktail sauceCocktail - I think the one I got was called something like sesame street? It was very good and refreshing. A lil sweet but not sickly sweet. Service: Friendly and niceAmbience: Great lighting and not a loud place. If you choose to sit at the "patio" just be aware that it's just basically an area next to a parking structure. I prefer to sit inside due to this. Parking: i don't think there's valet here, but street parking isn't too hard to find jn this area. Will come back

My friends and I were excited to try out this spot and though we had a good time the food was inconsistently so-so. Not bad but not great. I had the escargot and it was pretty decent w/ a great white wine butter. Desserts were the main "ehh" moments. $15 for the smallest and blandest brownie was a let down; however, the cookie was really good (the ice cream sandwich was a big boof; see pic for reference...kind of ice cream soup). The drinks were all very tasty and the off menu spritz the bartender made me was super fresh. With all that being said, the ambiance was charming and elegant, and the service was great (very attentive and kind servers). 5/5 stars for service.

Good food , very cute ambiance the place was smaller than I thought. But over all good service and good vibes. Would definitely come back .

Love the inside vibe. Nice atmosphere. We got the burgers and I got the trout. I think they changed the menu last month and they don't have a lot of the other items. No escargot anymore. But overall a good spot.

Was seated at the worst table in the worst seat - the one by the water station. Had to deal with a wet towel smell that I complained about and they swapped it for a clean towel. Also, someone was refilling their own personal water bottle at that station and sprayed water all over my faux fur coat and velvet dress. The manager came over to address our concerns so that was good. I did have to go home and change before going out again, so that was inconvenient. On to the food - it was all okay. The chicken liver was okay, the gnocchi was okay, the steak frites were okay, the wine was fine. Parking was easy out front. I probably won't return but if you want to check this place out, I would suggest waiting for warmer weather to dine outside for that experience. Outside looked cute but it's too cold to eat outside for dinner right now.

Had a fantastic evening here! The waiter was great, The menu is small but everything we had was very good. The atmosphere is charming and fun.
Be the first to ReplyWe ordered the oysters and croquettes.
Both were delicious! The croquettes were flavorful and high quality. The oysters were incredible. I am a huge oysters fan and these are in my top 5. Bread was as fresh as the lettuce. Highly recommend.

Mismanaged and overpriced restaurant. Take your business elsewhere.

My favorite dishes were the steak and frites, the branzino and the little gem salad. It seems like their menu is ever changing - they had several dishes on their Yelp that I was excited to try, but they no longer offer them. Definitely make reservations and ask to be seated in one of their full booths or get a table outside (the half booths are small and you get very little privacy.)Service was great, drinks were strong, vibe was nice. I would love to come back here again.

This has the feel of a neighborhood restaurant but the prices of a special occasion restaurant. The cocktails were great certainly, and the food was pretty good if not memorable, but simply none of this was worth the price. I paid like $50 or whatever for steak frites, which gets you like 1 4oz steak and a giant pile of fries (which were tasty to be fair). For those prices I'd prefer to get a 14oz ribeye at Mussos, rather than a bunch of French fries, but to each his own certainly.

ย Save your money and go elsewhere. Service - mediocre at best. ย We had a left of 6 and our server was not only unknowledgeable about the menu she was also kind of rude and in such a rush each time she stopped by Food - disappointing. They ran out of the chicken 8pm Friday at prime time...not a good look. Everything else was fairly uninspired and lacking in flavor. Probably could get similar quality at a less hyped spot. By no means did anything taste bad but it just wasn't inspired or creative. Cocktails - ok. Gimlet was good and smoke/mirrors. ย The rest tastes mostly like juice. Ambiance - fun for a Hollywood spot!! Go for this reason Overall, for the hype extremely unimpressive.
Be the first to ReplyGigis is nice.
The food is good, changes seasonally which is nice. Caviar butter/bread, hamachi crudo, and roasted carrots were all great. The blondi alla mode was fantastic! Service is good and decor is cute. My only complaint is how crowded the tables are, everyone feels like a fool getting to the booth side since you have to squeeze between two tables, but it usually ends in laughs between you and you let table neighbors.

Finally got to dine at Gigi's and they did not disappoint! I was a little worried going in because the reviews were so polarized, but now I can't understand what all the negative reviews were about. We had the kanpachi krudo, oysters, steak tartare, deviled eggs, branzino, and the strawberry rhubarb cobbler and crรจme brรปlรฉe pie for dessert. Everything was delicious and it's one of the best meals I've had in a while. Service was also great -- I can't wait to go back again!
Be the first to ReplyHoly portion size! I live in the neighborhood and went
Holy portion size! I live in the neighborhood and went twice when it first opened and was unimpressed. However, the place is always packed and we figured we'd give it another shot. Snow crag claws- $28 for 5 of the smallest nibbles. The meager bites were fresh but so small I could barely taste them. Charred snow peas- $14 for a decent portion. I'll give them this. Steak Frites- $56 for what seems like a 4-5oz piece of steak and an enormous plate of fries. I have had larger plates of steak on an airplane. ย When it arrives at your table you will be shocked at how tiny it is. Petit Trois a few blocks away does similar food with great portions and honestly, just better. I want to love Gigi's but after 3 attempts I'm done.

My husband and I dined here last week and the food was superb. We ordered the rib eye to split along with the potatoes brussel sprouts and pot du creme. The steak might have been the best steak I've ever eaten. Same with the pot du creme. This was totally worth the price and we will be back.
