I dined here on a trip last year and completely forgot to write about it. This restaurant felt a little unnecessarily over the top to me. First off obviously it's Gucci, so you'd expect the staff to dress in Gucci wear and I really loved the china that everything was brought out on. The seats weren't comfortable but anyway, I digress. The food was great but it is such a hit and miss on the portions. In general it's over priced, but they can get away for it for being in Beverly Hills. I ordered a special with truffles and while it was delicious, it wasn't worth the 3 figures they charged for it. Left hungry and needed a snack shortly afterwards. The service is impeccable and have no complaints about the staff.
Be the first to ReplySunday brunch was amazing.
It was a pre-fix menu. Wine pairing was additional. The wine list was nice - on the high end side. The cocktail menu was also amazing. Everything that came to our table was exceptionally great. Surprising that it is not a Michelin Star yet. We started with a Selection of Freshly Baked Bread and Pastries Sweet and savory spreads, Cured fish* and meat. Followed by Eggs w/ Bacon crunch, potato foam - Caviar is $60 additional. Then we had the Organic wild salad, Spinach filled crepe, bechamel, crispy pancetta and sage, Russet potato cartouche, spider crab*, smoked trout roe*, Crispy Enoki Mushroom, Mini slider & French Fries. Then for the sweets, Pavlova - Merengue, chestnut, rum, chocolate, Gelato alla crema, K&K raisins, Honey Yogurt - Cardamom granola, fresh berries, and finally the Modena Cheese Tart Parmigiano Reggiano curd. All of the dishes were such a delight. The ambience added the best experience of being in Florence. The utensils and plates were of course Gucci. We had 3 glasses of wine plus 3 people in the party totaled to almost $900 including tax and tip for 3 people. They validate the valet for $10. It's definitely a special occasion type of place. It is very expensive. Top notch customer service. Can't wait go back again. * I couldn't even post the other food since yelp only allows 10 max of photos.

This place was so good, literally did not expect it to be that good lol. If you're thinking of trying this place just do it this is your sign. Friendly staff and the interior was sooo cute too. The pictures don't do it justice

I don't give anything less than 5 stars but here we go with my experience; - mid tasting food, nothing crazy. I don't claim to be a food blogger or food expert but the food here is definitely not worth the price. The desert was good. - the ambiance was amazing - the service excellent however our server was TOO PUSHY for us to order items and drinks more that we all got extremely annoyed. I have never seen any server being this pushy on ordering more items. We at least wasted couple of hundred dollars because he kept adding things to our order. Regardless, he was an amazing human being with great knowledge of his work. - would it worth it for the experience? Maybe, you be the judge of it. :-)

What you get with a reservation at Gucci Osteria is an experience. The space is serene and beautiful - it prepares you for the special. An amazing mind bending experience that deserves the spend. Every single dish was inventive and beautiful - the flavors were focused and concentrated. I've been cooking for forty years and I don't know how chef Mattia does it. He's gifted. Amuse that leads with Asian pate and kim chee pickles. Bread with Scottish butter. A bagel with caviar. Pumpkin tortellini made of nothing but pumpkin. Risotto that looks and tastes like a pizza and a cheddar dish with Alba truffles that defines refined. The filet steak was perfect. That's hard to do. The service was elegant, friendly and informed. Wine service surprised to the upside. Wines were paired from regions you haven't tried, and if you have - don't expect typical expressions. So delicious, complex and worthy. I loved it. And it was worth it. And chef Mattia came out to say hello - a very nice touch. Happy to have this memory and experience. Grateful.

Gucci Osteria de Massimo Bottura on Rodeo Drive is an absolute culinary gem in Beverly Hills. The dining experience here is unparalleled - from the luxurious ambiance to the impeccable service. Each dish is a masterpiece, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and creativity. The attention to detail is remarkable, reflecting the high standards one would expect from the collaboration of Gucci and Massimo Bottura. While the price reflects the exclusivity, every bite is a testament to the exceptional quality. The seafood salad was the best salad I have ever had. Love this restaurant!
Be the first to ReplyLet's be honest.
This is a pretty mid restaurant. The views are beautiful and so is the restaurant itself... but I have no idea how they got their star. Service is always expected to be exceptional at a Michelin-star rated establishment, but the food is truly nothing to be writing home about. I tried their pasta dish and dessert, and both were just okay. The pasta was pretty one-dimensional and for an entirely vegetarian dish...$30 is insane. The dessert was some lychee and sakura thing, and it was decent. I definitely picked the right dessert because it was light and refreshing. Overall, it was a good experience but the lunch menu is quite limited and nothing really sticks out as a must-order or must-try. Perhaps their dinner menu is better?

Complimentary valet. Located on the third floor of Gucci. It has an balcony, wall to ceiling glass panels that permits you to view the palm trees/fronds, providing a sense as though you are sitting in a garden.Per our hostess, lunch is a la carte with a 5 course tasting menu option. Dinner is only tasting menu.We were lucky to score reservations for dinner. There's three options-one is the classic chef menu consisting of dishes all around the world. The other two, one was the same price as the chef menu but it is more vegetables, truffles, and seafood, and the other one was at a lower price. We opted for the chef menu because we like caviar. Also, we added white truffles and their signature burger sliders. With their version of the bourbon old fashion, extra burgers, and added truffles, the tab came to $950; gratuity is included. My favorite dish would be the wagyu-main course and the chef spin on American BBQ; though he uses fish, it still had the smoky BBQ flavor and the added potato chips on top was brilliant. The other dishes were unique and definitely has the Michelin touch to it. You'll definitely be full by the end of the meal-there's so many pre-course finger bites, bread and butter/cheese, and at least a few pre and post desserts sweets that it's a lot of food. Definitely an experience for foodies and special occasions. Almost every other table was celebrating a birthday or anniversary.I'd love to come back to compare their lunch portion and check out their offerings-see if it's different than dinner.

A beautifully decorated restaurant that sits on top of the Gucci store on Rodeo Drive. The interior is absolutely stunning, from dishware to the layout of the restaurant, and to the floral aprons that the servers wear to match the menu front covers. I can imagine a bunch of fine, rich ladies coming here for afternoon tea or for over priced brunch on a nice spring day. Definitely has that upscale vibe, along with the wonderful service. The food was my most let down, very unfortunate. Our group went with the Cali State of Mind tasting menu, as we had a few people who liked truffles. If I learned anything from this experience, it's that truffles just aren't for me. I'm sure they were fine, but it just doesn't sit right on my palette. The food was just okay. Out of the 8+ dishes that we've had, my favorite were the two dessert items. The yuzu in the "Sgroppino" was a refreshing palate cleanser, and the mochi/pear/lychee combo in the "So I turned to the Garden of Love" was a delight.Ironically, at many of these upscale restaurants, I find that the amuse bouche dishes are actually some of my favorite little dishes, and that it sets the expectation bar pretty high. And in my cases, the courses turn out to be a let down. Here, unfortunately the amuse bouche were also just mediocre. I didn't taste anything new or anything that made me say "wow!" I had hoped that the course dishes would wow me, but sadly it's not a word I dropped this evening. Personally, I don't think the drive from Pasadena was worth it, and I don't think it fit the pricing point. Maybe I'll check out their brunch, but only if I'm in the neighborhood (but let's be real, I don't just 'hang out' on Rodeo Drive, lol!)

Wifey and I had the opportunity to patron Gucci Osteria in Beverly Hills the other day and we were definitely impressed. Reservations not too hard to obtain, especially for a Michelin star restaurant. I would recommend looking at least one week in advance to ensure you get your preferred date/time. They have valet but also other places to park not far and you get to then walk around more freely before or after your meal. Enter on the specific side entrance for the Osteria and ascend up the elevator that requires a key card swipe by the host/ess to activate the restaurant level. Immediately we were greeted and whisked away to our lovely table on the patio. Great views. We went for the tasting menu since we likely won't be back for some time to fully immerse ourselves in the experience...definitely the right call. The food is incredible and the drinks are divine. Service is impeccable. Definitely worth a visit!
Be the first to ReplyWent for lunch three of us(bill 400.
00)...I should start out by saying the staff and décor is beautiful however the food was tasteless and micro portions...I am an experienced diner( I am a big foodie!) I eat in Bev Hills Frequently....This was truly one of the worst lunches I have had, with that being said the bread was good but the dishes were a mix of unflavored bland food that truly lacked the creativity that I think they were going for! Sorry Gucci but I am still a loyal customer of your clothes, shoes and bags!!
Be the first to ReplyI just love the experience and vibe here.
I actually had my bridal shower here and it was so much fun. The place is beautiful in the location is perfect! The food is so creative. I definitely recommend this 1-star Michelin restaurant!

Absolutely loved my experience at Gucci Osteria - went there for Christmas Eve and they accommodated us running a little late. The pasta dishes were phenomenal and the service was amazing. Would definitely go back again for the off menu truffle tagliatelle.

I think it's safe to say this was the best lunch i've ever had. The risotto camouflaged as pizza was one of my favorite dishes i've ever eaten! The banana dessert was just fabulous! Truly every bite of everything was so delicious. And don't get me started on how perfect the cod was! The service was very attentive and kind as well. I'll definitely be stopping here anytime i'm in LA for now on!
Be the first to ReplyWould I go again?Probably not.
Don't get me wrong, the place is an experience. Something you have to try at least once. However, the cost does not match the experience. We went for dinner on a Friday night. The food was delicious and beautiful. The menu is set but you can add other plates from other options from the menu. We did the Cali State of Mind 8 course meal. Plus, our waiter "cleverly" suggest we try other plates from the menu options... so we probably had 10 courses. All small and doable but also very $$$$ which he forgot to mention to us. Also, we ended with a different waiter at the end of the of our night. Not sure why. Thought that was unconventional for such a high-end place.Reservations for this spot were a bit hard to get. Not sure if their website was having issues around the time we started our search, but it took quite some time to get through someone and actually confirm reservations online. I don't think the restaurant was worth the price (small mortgage payment) for the lack of attention, waiter swap, and price tag. Almost forgot, I get truffles are delicious... but they don't need to be on every single dish!!!

After months of trying to book a reservation, we were finally able to get a table for lunch! I was even more excited after I heard they received a Michelin Star.Gucci Osteria is a cute restaurant situated right next to the Gucci store on Rodeo Drive. In fact, it is kind of hard to spot when driving through Rodeo Drive. It's in a small opening where you are welcomed by the hostess and brought up (via elevator) to the second floor. The restaurant is half indoor and half outdoor, as it is more of terrace restaurant. Of course, all their plates and most of their decor is Gucci. For food we did the a la cart style. Notably, the 5 course tasting menu consisted of pescatarian dishes, that of which we did not feel like having at the time. For drinks we ordered the Still Castle and Calirosa Garden. The Calirosa Garden was not too memorable, however, the Still Castle was presented with wood smoke and tasted fabulous. Also, they gave us two mini truffle croissants which were amazing! For food, we started out with the Caviar on top of Rockfish and Tortellini with white truffle. Both were excellent! The Ossetra Caviar was some of the best caviar I had, and it paired decently with the Rockfish. Keep in mind you get complementary bread baskets (with butter and whipped cheese). So we definitely put some of the Rockfish and Caviar on top of the bread. The Tortellini is very potent and tasteful. It really gets you full fast. The sauce in the tortellini tastes like milky cheese, and the truffle just capitalized on the sauce. We also ordered the Gucci French Fries and the What About BBQ. The Gucci fries comes in a custom Gucci French fry box, and comes out very hot. Taste wise, there was nothing amazing about the fries. In fact, it kind of had an overwhelming taste of rosemary seasoning that lingers. I was not a big fan of the Gucci fries but I thought that the Gucci French fry box was cool. Lastly, we got the What About BBQ. The presentation of the What About BBQ was cool, but I thought the flavors were mediocre at best. The Meat, tasting like beef rib, was mashed up and shaped into the figure of a cow. Also, it was drizzled with some elegant bbq sauce. Furthermore, it came with a white cream bone marrow "salad." I thought the" bbq meat" tasted generic. Also, I wasn't too fond of the texture of the bone marrow salad. Overall, our experience at Gucci Osteria was interesting and unique. Eating on Gucci plates while surrounded by Gucci decor was a unique experience in itself. Although I was not too fond of some of the dishes served, there were also key standouts that made the experience worth it. Also, the service was awesome!

Be the first to ReplyCame here for my friend's birthday dinner.
This is the type of place that in my opinion, is more of a see and be seen / special date / pomp & circumstance type spot, rather than about the eating great food that you'll return to again & again. Ambiance was beautiful as expected, service was excellent. Food was good not great. You're paying for the name and yes it is pricey. It's Gucci. We had the 8 course chef's tasting menu with wine pairings, each course has a story. Portions were small yet filling. It was hard to finish after the 5th course. What we had.1. Rice tart amuse bouche. Creamy and light.2. This was followed by bread and crisps with butter and ricotta pairing. So delicious (forgot to take photo).3. Buckwheat chips over burrata cheese and white asparagus. Inspired by Frank Gehry's Disney concert hall. Good, not great.4. Jicama layered with shrimp, scallop & calamari. Delicious! To our surprise chef Mattia Agazzi came out at this point to say hello and happily take photos. I think this was a nice touch for my friend's birthday. Made it more memorable.5. Pizza in a risotto. Did not like this. Soupy, overpowering flavors that did not work together. Skip it if getting it ala carte.6. Tortellini with prosciutto & Parmesan. Excellent! Nice complexity to the flavors with a beautiful salty finish. Loved this for it's surprise element.7. Cod fish ball. Perfectly fried, simple, filling and delicious. Loved it. But the tomato jelly & radish side was not it for me. I wish the side dish was something a bit more fresh and simple to counteract the fried.8. Burger in a pink Gucci box. Loved the presentation but by this point it was so heavy with too much sauce. Didn't love this. May work better as a standalone, ala carte dish because it's very savory. I personally was not in love with the flavors. On to desserts, yes it was 3 courses!9. Gelato. Light, citrusy, perfect. This was a pre-dessert palette cleanser which frankly would have been enough and the perfect ending.10. Chocolate dessert. It's chocolate. Good but typical. I did love that you smash the chocolate with your spoon and it creates this fun texture with the chocolate crème below. 11. Post-dessert petit-fours: Mini cream puffs (too chewy & too sweet, heavy) & cherry over cherry filled chocolate (good, I really liked this.)Yes we had wine with every course, no I don't remember which ones and sherry with dessert as well as naturally excellent coffee.Overall, I would say "like not love". Vibe is very Bling Empire.I don't know how often the menu changes but it's a great place to experience at least once. Go try it!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful meal.
The pastas are particularly exceptional. The space is predictably gorgeous. The service is surprisingly very Italian in both the best and worst ways, but overall good. Is it expensive? yes, but not as high as i thought it would be. It is in Beverly Hills, on top of Gucci, by one of the most famous chefs in Italy. The food is great so I plan to come back!
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was beautiful.
But the food was alright. Went for dinner and had to choose a set. I chose the under the palms. Only thing I enjoyed was the wine, view, and dessert. I believe it is overly hyped. Would not recommend. Maybe if you want to experience it once in a lifetime. Overall average food.
