Haberdish Charlotte Reviews from The Last Year
Delicious Food with Personal Service
Our group of four had Mother's Day dinner at Haberdish. Jeremy made our visit so perfect with expert suggestions and his warm and fun demeanor. We super enjoyed the hushpuppies, deviled eggs, and inexplicably devine tater tots - how do they do that?? We loved the cocktail punch that was beautify served, fresh and bright. My tomato pie was as beautiful as it was delicious. So glad we chose Haberdish for our special dinner.
Really good comfort food. Excellent fried chicken
Had the half fried chicken. It was very good Molly the waited recommended the white sauce and ranch both were great. Kathy had a salad and a tender. They crust their chicken deeply which she found ok. Joe had shrimp and liked it. Liz had a salad and we ordered tots. Great Kathy’s marguerita was terrible. Molly the waitress was very good.
We drove 45 minutes for brunch, specifically the PB and J
We drove 45 minutes for brunch, specifically the PB and J plate.. the PB and J plate has been removed from the brunch menu.. what a huge disappointment. The fried chicken was amazing as was the cinnamon roll. Liam is amazing and is worth the trip. Excellent place, would be better with the PB and J plate available anytime. Just sayin
Came here for brunch on Sunday at noon.
There is a competition for street parking because of all of the other restaurants and shops on the same block. However, there is paid parking across the street at the YMCA. $10.50 for 3 hours. This day and time were super packed. When you walk in, there is not a designated lobby/foyer area. Everyone was just jammed packed right in the doorway. I could not really tell who the hostess was or how someone would go about requesting a table. Later, I did see there was a tablet on the wall by the jammed packed door where names were being taken for seating. Luckily, I arrived and spotted my large group of 13 was already seated. We had one waiter for all of us and he was really efficient and new the menu well when we all had questions. We were even allowed to sample a cocktail to see if we liked it before ordering. Everything is a la.carte. My tab alone was $56, which did not include a gratuity. I ordered a bowl of grits. The flavor was there, but the grits were chewy, it was the consistency of oatmeal. I did not like them. I also ordered the crunchy brussel sprouts. They were a 10/10. It's a large portion enough for 2. My entree was the Shrimp and grits cakes. Grits on the bottom, topped with ham, collard greens, and shrimp on top. This was a unique combo, but all of the flavors together were top-notch. I tasted a friends tater tots, they were very flavorful, fried hard, soft in the middle. Delicious! I had a cocktail called Happy Go Lucky! Vodka, gin, champagne, lime, grapefruit, and blood orange. Definitely recommend!
I had the chance to stop into Haberdish as I had a few
I had the chance to stop into Haberdish as I had a few hours to kill before a shoot and it was no doubt the right choice for an early afternoon cocktail and a bite. I will start by saying as always that any time we decide to take a seat at the table or as is my standard choice to roll up to the bar.....no great dining experience can exist without great service.....So I was off to a good start when I was met by the absolutely captivating smile of my bartender/server Jules. Jules went over the Bourbon selection, and made an incredible recommendation from the well appointed selection of spirits, and got me started on my go to Old Fashioned. Haberdish makes their own ice and I can say confidently they have figured out the art of ice making, lasting perfectly throughout and never watering down my drink. I ordered the Short Rib Sandwich with Potato Wedges served with a butter aioli. The Short Ribs were full of flavor, and tender the potato wedges were perfect, lightly seasoned and the aioli was definitely a major star of the dish. Haberdish has an elevated Southern Style menu, served family style. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing, and the staff is attentive. I had a great experience throughout. A huge thank you to Jules. Restaurant workers barely survived COVID...I am thankful so many great ones did. And Jules is certainly one of the greats!!! Remember always to tip graciously when you are served graciously...we need to keep great smile like Jules on the other side of our menu
Food was incredible.
I honestly wish i took pictures of everything we tried! It was mostly a shared style type of dining - we had a table of 6 and we ordered several plates to share and to try different things! I will say they change their menu often and its all locally sourced! Hands down the grit patties with shrimp was my favorite (brunch menu) and the fried chicken was chefs kiss!!! also that mac and cheezd really hit the spot- creamy and extra cheesy! Splitting the bill at the end was easy with our waitress and her service was spectacular. Super attentive with drinks and us!! also 10/10 bartender. super fresh and delicious drinks. not too sweet not too bitter, just potently perfect! im. coming back!
The food was very good.
Mac and cheese and chicken was seasoned nicely. The service was good. The ambiance was nice. I'll be back.

I remember I went to haberdish when it first open I had wrote a review that the food was good but the seats were not comfortable now I went back this Sunday and I made sure I sat at a booth but I know I don't have to go back because the food is not all that good the chicken & Mac and cheese wasn't bad wasn't great but that would be the only thing I would eat there if had to go back the waffles awful the sweet potato dumplings I had to send back awful not my favorite place
Haberdish has great food and excellent customer service.
If you are looking for southern cooking with a great amount ambiance this is the place to be. For the food items I definitely recommend their oysters and fried chicken.

I was so impressed with food, I still think of it weeks later. Chicken and Waffles was delicious. Thank you so much

This was a nice spot!!! I'd certainly revisit to try other menu items. I visited during lunch, there was a much smaller menu.
Interesting place not a typical southern restaurant however
Interesting place not a typical southern restaurant however they have a great menu. Small menu but delicious. The chicken sandwich was really good and Nashville makes the perfect level of spicy. The trout was tender and well cooked. Good service, good food and great atmosphere
Comfort food at its best, but not out of this world!
Deliciously addictive comfort food with a great balance. Enjoyed the vibe and menu entrees. We shared several small plates, cheesy grits, 2 piece dark meat chicken, skewered spicy shrimp, grilled cauliflower and spicy deviled eggs. All items were filling enough for two people. Service was excellent and our server was training someone, which was great. We felt the food was good not super outstanding. We will definitely return for one of their entrees only versus small plates.

I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

You should probably cancel prior to the cancellation date per the cancellation policy. I would imagine you would only get reimbursed for a sold listing if you happen to be charged?

My first sale took about a week. But as the other commenter said stay ontop of your cancellation windows. There’s no reimbursement for those so make sure you cancel in time then just try again.
