Date of Visit: 3/19/2023Finally visit this handroll bar in Mission district with friends. The Handroll Project was opened by the previous Michelin Star restaurant Ju-Ni's owner and chef. There are only 16 bar seating in Handroll Project, with individual handrolls or set to order. We got the 10 pieces Hand Roll and with an extra of the special of the day. Suigei "Drunken Whale" Tokubetsu Junmai (300ml) $38Oka "Snow Angel" Nigori (180ml) $14We ordered two different sake throughout the meal, and both of them were good. 10 Pieces Hand Roll $98Salmon & Sesame Spicy TunaSpicy KaniSmoked HamachiChef's Poke Handroll Creamy ScallopToro Takuan Ikura & Ankimo A5 WagyuSmoked Uni & IkuraSpecial Hand Roll $8The special hand roll has amberjack with tobiko, chives and ponzu sauce. Miso Soup $5.5Miso soup is on the sweeter side, so they recommend to have it at the end. My favorites are the Salmon & Sesame, Creamy Scallop, Ikura & Ankimo, A5 Wagyu, Smoked Uni & Ikura, and the Special Hand Roll. The downsides are the price is on the higher end and it is quite rush throughout the meal.
