Holy Carrot London Reviews from The Last Year
Quality vegan festival food from a food truck, can’t wait to visit the restaurant!
We found the Holy Carrot food truck while we were at a festival….Ricky & the team did an amazing job of serving delicious, imaginative, quality vegan food from a food truck. It was the best festival food I’ve ever eaten, can’t wait to visit the restaurant!
I am not a vegan, but WOW!
I must start this review by clarifying that I am not vegan at all; I thoroughly enjoy meat. Despite that, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I believe even Gordon Ramsay would be impressed. The food was so unique and fresh. Highly recommend.
A 10/10 experience
Myself and a friend enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Holy Carrot in Knightsbridge several weeks ago. We had a 10/10 experience….. a wonderful relaxed vibe with no pressure to hurry despite the restaurant being fairly busy. Great and attentive service and most importantly, superb food and drinks, beautifully prepared and presented. I am excited to visit the new location in Notting Hill later in the year. Thank you Holy Carrot.
Great all round
I've been thinking about their mushroom wings all week. Everything was absolutely delicious. Perfectly crispy, seasoned, imagined. A group of ridiculously nice guys, they worked together really quickly and positively which was a great atmosphere to order infront of and hang out around and pretty rare actually. They were genuinely kind and really sweet. We sat on a bench infront of them all evening in the sun, sampling different bits and drinking delicious beers and alright G&Ts for a tinned version. Just great, wish I lived closer I'd get some tonight. Perfect for a relaxed friendly evening of really good food outside looking at the Thames.
The food and cocktails are still delicious…
We attended on a Monday evening to celebrate my dad’s birthday. I had previously been to the restaurant in February where we enjoyed delicious food, drinks and very attentive service. We were really disappointed with the service this time which pains me to say as I hate criticising independent restaurants especially fully vegan ones. It was really slow, rushed, and some of our food orders were missed. It is so vital for an independent restaurant to have both the food and the service spot on otherwise people may not wish to return. I do feel for the waiting staff as they had only been told two weeks prior to our visit of the restaurant’s move to Notting Hill and they weren’t sure if they would still have jobs. Hopefully it all improves for their new move as I love a fully vegan restaurant 🙏🏽
Extremely Disappointing
Incredibly slow, inattentive staff who were heavy with the plates, half cleared the table, had to be chased for everything tempura cold chewy uncooked so mouthful of wet flour, good Soudough with overwhelmingly oily dip, risotto also oily, worse chai Ive ever had - tasted of nothing, chewy crumble, good icecream but after all the creamy side sauces and oily food ice cream was overwhelming. great avocado salad saved us, companion enjoyed desserts. Birthday dinner, not to be repeated
Mixed experience
Great location and very good menu full of interesting vegan dishes. Service was fairly slow which was fine for us. At the end of lunch we ordered coffee. My husband requested some sugar which was brought to him. However after he spooned it into his coffee and tasted it it turned out to be salt. Really horrid. The staff then explained they were sugar free. Why they didn’t mention this when he requested some sugar was never explained. They brought some more coffee with some agave syrup to sweeten it. All fine except we were still charged for the coffee despite the horrible salty experience. Poor customer service.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
