I've been to the Hotel Jerome several times and have enjoyed it so much. I spent my first Christmas in Colorado there and made so many memories. The food is excellent as well. Definitely a favorite stop for me in Aspen.

For $2k a night you expect something prettaaay good.Good:-Rooms are nice and well appointed and pretty big. I got upgraded to a suite. The hotel is old though so they aren't like super stylish rooms.-Free snacks in the minibar. Every luxury hotel should do this.-The front desk ladies and the restaurant hostesses were very nice. Not as good:-The front doormen / bellmen aren't very friendly and all I did was hand them $20s all weekend for every little thing I did - maybe that's not enough in Aspen. They did get the job done though. -The food was generally passable but nothing special.- The spa was in a cramped basement. Overall I think this is more of a "visit, don't stay" kinda place - for my money the St. Regis is better. Jerome is better than Little Nell though. Little Nell has bad vibes through and through.

Wow! What a huge expensive disappointment! As a Colorado native I was so looking forward to sharing the nostalgic Jerome Hotel in Aspen with my sons. We pre-booked Christmas Dinner for 4 at $200 each weeks in advance. The night was portrayed as food from the Prospect Room, which led one to believe it would be the same vibe and quality. I called the contact number on 2 different occasions to get information on the menu and did not receive a call back either time. That "left a bad taste in my mouth" before I ever entered the sterile, cold conference room with Christmas Carolers that reminded me of an annoying Mariachi Band. I had to wear my jacket the entire meal, cold Halibut and Beef Wellington wrapped in a disgusting red and green pastry. We could not wait to at least make it to the Desert table. We had dinner Christmas Eve at The White House in Aspen and wish we had returned the following night. This was a very expensive and disappointing Christmas Dinner which I will never make again.
Be the first to ReplyThe hotel is pretty nice.
Unfortunately I had one the worst meal in Aspen in their restaurant. The pasta was undercooked, the sauce sour, and the plate ill-conceived. For a five star hotel, I expected better dining experiences.

Hotel Jerome has a very nice patio with a restaurant called The Garden. Unfortunately, the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Food is just subpar and extremely overpriced. Only thing that makes it not horrendous is the service. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Jerome.
The staff and beauty of the hotel are first rate! We loved our spacious room with a western/rustic aesthetic. We enjoyed the J Bar, Bad Harriet and massages. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

I've stayed at a lot of very nice hotels, which is not a flex. I say this to set the stage for my expectations. From the moment I stepped out of the car to the moment I checked out, I received nothing but 5 star service. At $750/night you expect nothing less. Manager Chris was exceptional and the woman at the front desk who checked me in (forgot her name - accent, brown hair) was very helpful and explained all the benefits of traveling as an American Express traveler and what that means at their hotel. And "by the way, we upgraded you to a suite." Such service. Every guy at the valet kiosk was a pro. "Why are you carrying that yourself? Let me grab that!" "Where are you off to tonight? You should go here." "Have a great day!" "Great to see you again!" It's the little things. Wearing masks, you can lose that personal connection with people and especially hospitality workers, not here. Stay here. Seriously. I'll be back in March.

They treated us so nicely and the style of this place is undeniable. It will always be a go to for me and my wife in Aspen.
Be the first to ReplyThe Hotel Jerome is a luxury hotel with amazing restaurant
The Hotel Jerome is a luxury hotel with amazing restaurant food and common areas (The Living Room, J Bar, Prospect) but frankly misses the mark on their actual hotel rooms and room amenities. I understand that the hotel wants to stay true to their historic cowboy theme but the rooms look a bit plain and offer no other amenities other than coffee and water. If you are staying at a 5 Star hotel any paying almost $1,000 per night the rooms should feel a bit more elegant or chic. My husband and I were a bit disappointed since we had stayed at the Auberge property in Utah where the rooms where beautifully appointed and healthy snacks (fruit, bars) were replenished daily. They also offered free wellness activities (yoga, meditation) at the Utah hotel which they don't offer at the Aspen location. Basically, we could have just stayed at another hotel (St. Regis or Little Nell) for less and just walked over to have dinner in the Living Room or J Bar which is what we enjoyed the most about our stay. Also, I had a massage in their spa (which is just a waiting room and 3 treatment rooms). The massage was amazing, but I would have at least expected there to be a steam room/dry sauna/hot tub. Lesson learned! We won't be staying here next time we are in town.
