Went here for lunch and dinner.
Very nice upscale place with good selection of seafood and pasta. Favorite dishes were the eggplant parmigiana appetizer and the whole seabass fish for two which is prepared tableside. Service is friendly as well.
Impeccable service, great view, excellent food.
Most reservations here are saved for guests of the hotel. I am glad that I could snag one for a lunch during our one day visit to the town. Our lunch was very nice and we had a great view from the patio. I had Scialatielli pasta with yellow tomatoes, clams and sea bass. The sea bass was excellent. My wife had Paccheri pasta with cherry tomatoes, burrata and basil. She said it also was very good. Service was impeccable. If you are walking to the restaurant, be sure you look at the routes to go depending on where you are located. You may have a steep walk with a lot of steps to get there.
Wonderful Dining in Positano!
Gorgeous views, delicious food, excellent service! With the overhead flower canopy and the sweeping views of Positano, the cathedral, and the Mediterranean; with the chefs putting out immensely flavorful dishes; with the top-notch service of the staff (I've been in the hospitality business and this is what we train our staff to model); and with their offer of stellar gluten-free food (presented nicely, too), you can't go wrong having a meal here. Make sure you book as soon as reservations open for the date and time you want. We can't wait to return next time we're in Positano!

this restaurant was the highlight of our trip. You will not be disappointed. I am vegan and I had some choices but there was no menu like Tridente that had the style and sophistication for vegan food like theirs did. Not only does their restaurant fulfill the needs of any diet. They do it with care and love. Liliana is the manager and did she go just ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. It was our 1 year anniversary and she made sure we had a beautiful table with service that was impeccable. She came in to frequently check on us and see if we needed anything and ensure the food was nothing but phenomenal. The atmosphere at Tridente is probably the best view you can get overlooking all of positano in one glance. It was truly a magical experience dining with them. If I can write 10 different reviews about this restaurant I would! lol but I am just here to give one, good genuine and honest review. I’ll never forget my experience with Tridente and Liliana. It almost felt like being with them as a second home. And I’ll show you the pictures to prove our wonderful, romantic evening at Tridente.

A night to remember!
I made a reservation two weeks in advance — and it was absolutely worth it! This was our best dinner in Positano. The food was simply outstanding, with every flavor perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch — the staff was incredibly attentive and warm, making us feel truly special. And the views were absolutely breathtaking. The combination of the atmosphere, the cuisine, and the impeccable service created an unforgettable evening. Thank you for a night we will remember for the rest of our lives!

Stunningly beautiful
I was lucky enough to secure a reservation for dinner online two weeks prior to my wife's birthday, and what a place to celebrate it. Il Tridente is stunningly beautiful, while the service and food are impeccable. Anna (who had arranged in advance for a birthday cake to be delivered for our dessert) was fantastic, as were all the staff who looked after us that evening. Positano can be busy and noisy, but the terrace of Il Tridente elevates you above all the hustle and bustle into the rarefied genteel calmer atmosphere of Hotel Poseidon. I can see why everyone wants to eat here.
Perfect night!
This was the most incredible dinner we’ve ever had. They helped me book a special occasion set menu for our engagement, I was able to curate a personalised menu for each of us and they had printed off these menus with a personalised message, on a table overlooking the whole of positano which had fresh flowers arranged atop it. All of the staff were so lovely and attentive, they truly made us feel so special. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for any special occasion - you won’t regret it!

We made reservations for lunch because I had heard so many great things about this restaurant and the hotel itself. The restaurant has one of the best views in Positano from the east side which is usually not appreciated as much as the west side. The whole terrace area and tableware is a pastel lover's paradise. We ordered Mezzi paccheri pasta with shrimps, lemon and basil, and Tiramisu. I absolutely loved each and every dish and especially the lemon pasta - so refreshing! The tiramisu was more like a pastry but still good.

Was excited to take my partner who is vegan bc they offer a special vegan menu. I even made a note in our reservation. They list closing at 10 but offer reservations up until 945? We arrived for our 9pm reservation at 830 and were seated into a mostly empty balcony which we were excited about as the view was amazing. The service was decent and they brought us out a little bite each of shrimp from the chef which was appreciated but weird bc my partner is vegan and we let them know ahead of time. Then she ordered the vegan zucchini appetizer that came out with ricotta inside and was not the vegan version on the menu. Then all the entrees were cold when they arrived bc clearly they were closing and didn't want to remake them after the first course mistake. The music was turned off at 915 and we finished our meal in silence and could feel the unspoken nudge that the restaurant would be closing soon. I would not have made a 9pm reservation had I known prior they did not want guests that late. And in addition, they don't read the notes you put in the reservation bc my vegan partner was served shrimp and cheese even after letting them know prior to us dining w them. I've worked in hospitality for 17 yrs and I know sometimes mistakes happen, but I would not dine here again, especially for our e220 bill. The view was 10/10 and it's a beautiful hotel. However, you could find the same view and food for much less elsewhere in Positano.

I ordered the fennel salad which was refreshing and had mandarins in it (it was a nice fiber break from all the pasta). They gave free bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The veal steak was also delicious! It was just slightly overcooked for what we asked for (more medium than medium rare). Service was great. Located on a higher floor of a hotel with very clean bathrooms.

We made lunch reservations to try to get the view during the day rather than at night. They called us to confirm the day before. Enter through the Hotel Poseidon. The view is breathtaking and the servers are generous to offer to take pics for you if your party. Lunch dress is casual, as the hotel's guests lounge by the pool nearby. We had the Dal Mare appetizer which was perfect to share and gave us just enough of three different items that it was the perfect start. We all opted to indulge in pasta dishes, each ordering a different one. Homemade Scialatielli pasta with catch of the day (sea bass) with yellow cherry tomatoes and seafood was flavorful and fresh. The spaghetti with clams was bright and lemony. The Linguine pasta "alla Nerano" with zucchini and cheese was my personal favorite, and the pasta our server recommended. The final pasta dish, Rigatoni pasta "alla puttanesca gialla" with yellow cherry tomatoes, olives and capers, was our least favorite. The pasta was slightly undercooked, and our party abandoned this in favor of tiramisu.

Amazing service and views!
What a fantastic experience! We made dinner reservations in advance for a group of 9 people. Liliana took care of us from the time we booked the reservation until the very end. She was the sweetest and most detail oriented person. We were able to choose from a couple menus and she even gave us the option to personalize the title of the menu, which was a really nice touch. All the wait staff and the food was amazing and the views were breath taking! Lemon tiramisu for dessert was soooo yummy! I would highly recommend making reservations here.

Beautiful location for lunch alfresco! Great service and wonderful menu make for an ideal afternoon stop to recharge in Positano. Every seat has a lovely view! I have allergies and they ensured my meal was safe and tasty. The desserts were especially fabulous! Make reservations early if you are not staying at the hotel.
Sunday Brunch
For the price of the Sunday Brunch I was a little disappointed at the selections. The rest of my family was gluten free and there were not many options but I will say that they brought out a ton of food for our table of gluten free items. Unfortunately they never asked for which options we were interested in and just brought out a bunch of options that my kids didn’t like and most of it ended up going to waste. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Drinks were very overpriced

Ambience 5 stars, with drop dead views of the cliff side buildings. Very relaxed, spacious terrace seating. Service was excellent and food was good. Note that it's located inside the Poseidon Hotel (some retail merchants had not idea where it was located). Would highly recommend.
Best restaurant in Positano
This is my first ever restaurant review and it is for good reason. II Tridente was not only the best service and food I have had in Italy, but one of, if not the best dining experiences I have had in my life. The service was phenomenal and food was next level. This was one of the last stops on my two week Italy honeymoon and my god was it the best. The views were stunning, the service was best in class, and my lord THE FOOD. I cannot recommend this place enough
The view is obviously incredible.
It's difficult to have a bad view anywhere in Positano, right? At Il Tridente, the terrace is spacious and the tables are large, unlike some terrace restaurants in other parts of town that squeeze as many tiny tables as possible onto a narrow sidewalk. You feel very relaxed and carefree here. We liked the following: * Antipasto Poseidon: tuna tartare with citrus, shrimp with candied ginger, and seared squid * Scialatielli pasta with fish, mussels, clams, and yellow cherry tomatoes * Paccheri pasta with shrimp, lemon, and basil We also ordered the paccheri pasta with cherry tomatoes, burrata, and basil. The pasta and tomatoes were good, but the burrata did not taste fresh and was very salty. It was almost like the burrata was brined too long, which was something I had never experienced before in Italy. The only entree that we did not like at all was the multi-grain eggplant sandwich. It was a large sandwich, but did not have any flavor (1 star off). We liked the fries that came with it a lot more than the sandwich itself! Was it because we are Americans and like a good fry? No, the sandwich was just that bad.

What an amazing place! The view is straight out of a storybook fairytale.. And, I cannot rave enough about the fantastic service and delicious food. If you’re looking for a place to stay, look no further. If you’re looking for a place to eat, you’ll find no better. Best of all, they will treat you like family. Liliana, I believe is the manager went out of her way to make sure that my wife had a fantastic birthday celebration when we got there. Grazie!!!!!
Great First Dinner!
We came to spend four nights in Positano and after reading reviews thought this would be a perfect way to spend the first night. I did grab a reservation on line but at the time couldn't get a spot for dining, just in the bar. So I reserved that. We had a 7:30 spot and were greeted very nicely, great waiter and the view was perfect! After having our first drink and looking over at the dining area, I asked if there was anyway we could squeeze in. At first it sounded like it wouldn't happen, but they actually got us a nice table with a view for dinner. It was great! The servers, waiters somei, all top notch and friendly. Really nice evening. Everything my wife imagined.
My wife read the book One Italian Summer about a mom and daughter summer in Positano. They had meals at your restaurant, describing the views and experience. My wife wanted to go with our daughter but ended up with her husband of 48 years. The restaurant was as she imagined. We had a great table next to the railing on the patio. The sun was out, the view spectacular, and Sunday brunch gave us the chance to try several items. We loved all the eggs Benedictine, crepes both sweet and savory, fruit, coffees and deserts. Mostly it was about the experience and your staff was both friendly, helpful and attentive. It created a memory she will never forget.
Great upscale Italian meal
This is a wonderful upscale Italian restaurant. We were staying at the hotel, and they of course strongly recommended this restaurant. We were hesitant because I generally don’t like hotel restaurants for dinner, but this ended up being fantastic. Not your typical pasta dishes. A bit more originality. We had ravioli for first course (very unusual, and very good). For second course we had fish and the stuffed chicken breast. Both were divine. We had 3 different desserts, and all were excellent—although the tiramisu was the weakest of the 3. Service was perfect. View, particularly as darkness arrived, was sublime. Just a wonderful evening!

The spot is fantastic what it comes to the view. We really enjoyed our brunch. Food is good although for brunch main dishes that system doesn't really work that optimally. However, looking the view over Positano and enjoying food and wine was clearly a highlight of our trip.

Right before dinner, I got engaged and we were going to celebrate at il Tridente. We only had a cocktail bar reservation but the kind hostess mentioned this to us and offered for us to instead have a dinner reservation which we were very excited about!!! Got a fabulous wine to celebrate, and the view was spectacular, possibly the best seat in the house!! Both the pasta with blame and seafood pasta were INCREDIBLE, cooked to perfection. Steak was absolutely amazing as well. We got a tiny chocolate ball dessert with ice cream inside. Such a lovely experience and our engagement day could not have gone better:). Thank you guys!!!

I cannot express enough how good the food and service were at Il Tridente. Luckily we were staying on property and were able to snatch a 2nd last minute reservation before returning home. Lucas and Bistra were beyond attentive, even remembering an allergy my husband has, making sure he would not order something that would trigger it. The lemon pasta is a must try, but honestly all dishes we tried were incredible. From the presentation to the taste, wow!

Celebrated my 50th birthday, food, service, view were all perfect! Tried getting a dinner reservation was all booked up, was lucky to get lunch reservation. The day was windy so the outside terrace was closed, which was a little disappointing. Really wanted to sit outside. The pasta alla nerano was the best dish I had in 10 days in Italy. Delicious! Catch of the day was snapper, perfectly prepared. They made a delicious lemon birthday cake for me. Service was excellent. Unforgettable 50th birthday lunch!

There were endless options on the buffet as well as made to order items that were all delicious! It was such a relaxing and nice atmosphere on the patio and the violen player was incredible. Very disappointing - has potential.
We went for brunch for my partners 30th birthday, it is made out to be an exclusive - book way in advance event. Feels a bit like something to make more money over the left over breakfast. Very average food extortionately pricied (€60 each - feel like you need to consume a huge volume to make it worth it as it is not exceptional quality) loud violin played over uk/American pop music, also had children crawling around under my table - not a special event as it was sold as. Very disappointing unfortunately as a beautiful location, good idea could be lovely but poor execution unfortunately.
Finally after a long wait visited this restaurant.
The reservation opens 14 days prior at 12 AM sharp Italy time and the slots are booked within 5-10 mins time.Ambience is great and the food is amazing.Adding few pics which we took while having our dinner.One good thing you have lot of options in Starters, Pasta and Main Course.For dessert all time recommendation would be lemon cake (It is amazing)

What a view! We had the most wonderful evening on our first night in Positano at Il Tridente. We had stopped by earlier in the day to see if we could come early for drinks before our reservation and they added us to the list so we could do so. The drinks and complementary ‘snacks’ were incredible and the views can’t be beat. Our dinner was equally as good and service was amazing. So glad I was able to secure a reservation and would consider it a ‘must go’ for anyone who appreciates great food and atmosphere!

Amazing food. Yes you are paying a premium but the food was truly sensational. We thought the food here was better than at a Michelin star restaurant in Sorrento! Truly romantic setting like no other. Reservations are a must - good luck... Wow! What a balcony! We couldn't book into the restaurant so we booked the balcony bar area. Just wow! What an ambience and location. Wait staff were so friendly and professional. There were only 4 options for food and we had 1 which was amazing. We sat for 2 hours as it was a great location.

This was honestly the highlight of our trip to Positano. We booked the bar for drinks at night time and the staff were just amazing. When the moon came up later on, they dimmed the lights so we could really enjoy the view!! Honestly a must to book a visit here!!!

Il Tridente offers a beautiful view of Positano and the coastline while sipping cocktails and wine and eating delicious food. We made reservations for both the cocktail bar and dinner so that we could have aperitivo first. The drink selection at the bar was fairly basic and a bit pricey, but the drinks were good and the view is spectacular. We had complimentary small bites with aperitivo, and they also brought us a few bites of fried Mozzarella, gnocchi and panino, which are all delicious. Service was very good and attentive. We then went to our table for dinner. We chose paccheri pasta with redfish ragu, an agnolotti pasta stuffed with monkfish, and a main dish of roasted amberjack. Each dish was prepared well and was highlighted the seafood. The roasted amberjack was probably our favorite overall. If anything, I would have liked something to brighten the flavor of the pasta dishes, like a little more acidity. It wasn't our favorite meal in Positano, but it was still a delicious meal with lovely surroundings!

Food is simple and pure but lacking in creativity or complexity. Stardard hotel and tourist pricing. Touristy location however serene effect with exceptional views assisted by glasses of wine.

* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at Il Tridente Cocktail Bar and Restaurant Positano to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
