We enjoyed a wonderful evening at the Precinct. The food and service were top notch. Zoe and Dakota provided superb service. We cannot wait to go back.
Prime Steak after Reds Win
Very nice place great staff. Restaurant in an old police precinct. Very extensive wine list and bourbon menu. Nice bar with high tables for eating.

I ordered the Chilean sea bass and it was phenomenal and the sauce was extremely good. The 6 cheese mac and cheese was very very good. My mother ordered the Ochoa cinco and was in love with the steak and the sauce. The ambiance was great and the inside was beautiful. The restrooms were very nice as well. Our service was incredible and our mattress went over the items on the menu to help us since it was our first time there. They kept our drinks filled and were all very nice. Overall just a very nice restaurant, good service, and great food!
Went for our 20 year anniversary.
First time dining at The Precinct, and it did not disappoint. Howie was our server, and he was excellent. He was kind, knowledgeable of the menu, but also didn't hover. The same as other Jeff Ruby restaurants, it is always delicious and we leave with a great experience.
The Precinct is the pinnacle of steak house experiences.
It is not only the best steak in Cincinnati, I have yet to find a better steak in the entire country. The whole experience is top class. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable about their offerings. The service is always flawless. This is a fantastic place to celebrate a special occasion, have an intimate date night, or to splurge for no reason at all. I always look forward to coming back.

Always a 5 star dining experience! Our server, I think Brittany? I hate that I don't remember her name. She was awesome. Was very attentive and very friendly. She was also hilarious!! Would love to have her again. Had a Mojito which was very lovely. Also, the crab cakes are probably the best in town. Steak was prepared just right. No complaints at all, a delightful experience. Always!!

Great atmosphere and top notch service by Zoe at Cincy's premier place to eat! Bread was great, Shrimp cocktail was awesome - great huge shrimp and the best salad Freddy! Petite Fiket was grilled to perfection along with a great baked potato. Highly recommend coming to The Precinct! Sit in the bar area- ask for Zoe.
Ate there for my birthday in April 3, 2024.
Service was adequate. Food with exception of dessert sub par. Salad was wilted and drenched with dressing. Steak was tough and potatoes tasted instant. Over priced. Ruby's you can do better. I have eaten there before and was very disappointed.
Overpriced everything and mediocre steak.
The steak is truly overrated. Jeff Ruby is now just a tradrmark name and he's banking on over the top decor and steak that is only so-so.

I was planning on going to Ruth Chris and thankfully I didn't because The Precinct was 100 times better than my last trip to Ruth Chris in Cincy. Pork Belly Skewers 4 stars, Freddie salad 4 stars, Boneless Ribeye 16 oz Delmonico 5 STARS, Jeff Ruby's Baked Macaroni & Cheese 5 STARS, Butter Pie 5 STARS. 100% will return.

Everything went great with our visit to The Precinct for a milestone birthday surprise we planned! During and after dinner we were all raving about the amazing food and excellent wait staff we were lucky to have. I definitely hope we can celebrate another life event with them in the future!
I ordered the ribeye meal kit for my husband's birthday
I ordered the ribeye meal kit for my husband's birthday dinner and it was so far beyond any expectations! The dinner was ready at the requested time and beautifully packed and loaded into my car. Excellent preparation directions and such generous servings. We added the lobster tails and the instructions allowed us to cook them perfectly. The steaks, of course, were excellent but we grilled one because it was so large, saving the second one and asparagus for another night. The macaroni and cheese is an old fashioned recipe with 4 cheeses in a bechamel sauce and could easily serve 4 for dinner or six as a side. While it seemed a bit pricey at first, the quality of the dinner(s) and the generous servings make this a great value. We're definitely going to do this again!
You can't ever go wrong dining on a steak jere.
Service is always top notch and it's clear that Jordan manages a great team. Enjoyed the cowboy bone in ribeye, topped with scallops, Brussels sprouts and the It's Britney Spritz. Everything was wonderful and our server was exceptional. First time with Tucker and he was a perfect server.

I love the food and service of The Precinct in Cincinnati, Ohio. I first ate there back in 1993. I remember the yummy Fettuccine Alfredo. The Precinct in my opinion is better than the Jeff Ruby Steakhouse in Columbus, Ohio. My reason for preferring The Precinct over the JR Steakhouse is the noise. The Precinct is more intimate, relaxing and quiet. My experience at the JR Steakhouse was it was crowded, very loud and tables were too close together. I don't enjoy having to talk over the table next to me so that my special person can hear me.
This place is just amazing.
Food, service and ambiance is 12/10... The steaks might be the best in the country. I have been in other cities and people talk about the Precinct. I have actually heard people say.. Have you ever tried a Jeff Ruby's restaurant before. And that was in a steakhouse in Chicago. Love to eat in the bar area at the Precinct the most.

My husband surprised me for Valentine's Day and it was gorgeous on the inside. The atmosphere was swanky, old town clubby, and elegant. We had Howie as a waiter who was phenomenal. He made our Valentine's Day special and really personalized our stay with a wonderful dessert for Valentine's Day and my birthday (a few days later). Food was amazing - no question! Really enjoyed our experience!
I took my executive team there this past weekend.
As always, whether dining with a small group of friends or family, or a large group, everything was perfect. The waiter and his assistants were very attentive. The food was excellent. Even scheduling the event was easy with their professional and courteous staff. My team all commented on how much they loved it. It is our go-to place for special occasions. Thanks for the consistent excellence over the years!!!
Blown Away...
Precinct by Jeff Ruby's is just special and I see why it's makes many lists of top steakhouses in the country. Staff is very well trained and the professionalism is top notch. Our food selections consisting of appetizers, dinners, and desserts were extraordinary. I attached pictures and definitely will recommend this business to others.
Precinct just average
A friendly waiter who knew when to check in and when to stay away. No lemon with the shrimp cocktail? My steak and my friends filet were barely edible due to the amount of salt they put on. Seriously, about 50% too much. Forgot that it was my friends birthday. Not what I'd expect from a "cincinnati's best" .
Fine dining yes! Atmosphere not so much!
As a repeat guest it was the first time, we were seated on the top floor aka hay loft as they called it. While enjoying each other's company my attention was caught as I watched a centipede speed up the wall behind my daughter and son in law. We told the one of our waiters and he wasn't sure what to do. He gave us the impression he was going to get a manager. We then see it again and at this point we can't stop starring at the wall wandering where it was. Instead of a manager approaching our table the head waiter comes over clueless of what just happened. He decided to move us to another table downstairs. We grab our things walk back downstairs and now are seated at a new table. Our main entree is then served. I understand there are things beyond our control. Of course, apologies were given and appreciated but I didn't leave feeling good about our dining experience and the birthday's we were there celebrating. The full bill arrived, he said he hoped we enjoyed everything. Not sure I will be rushing back anytime soon.
Avoid Bar
Great food and drinks. Just hated that people were standing directly behind us as we ate at the bar. Felt rushed by both the staff and other guests waiting to be sat. Came here to enjoy our evening and couldn’t relax at all.
Always a Great Experience
Have been to The Precinct many times. Always a great experience. Appreciated eating in one of the dining rooms as the bar is VERY Loud. Staff is very attentive and wants to make sure the meal is right.

Top Notch
I can’t remember the last time we had a dinner reservation at 8:45 PM, but we rolled into town on a Friday and 8:45 on Sunday was all that was available for the weekend. So we took it. We arrived about 8 PM to have drinks before dinner, and two seats had just opened . So we planted ourselves and had dinner at the bar, which we actually prefer and enjoy normally. We were not disappointed; the bar staff took care of us like VIPs. We split lobster bisque, a wedge, and a ribeye. We were full after the perfect bisce and salad, and coulda quit, but we pressed on. The steak was seasoned wonderfully, and cooked correctly, which ain’t always the case. All in all, a wonderful meal. It is clear how they earned all their rave reviews. And the bar staff are all rockstars.

Jeff Ruby Stakes to Jeff Ruby Steaks
5 out of 5. One of the best restaurant experiences i have had to date. Amazing food, Incredible staff, service with attention to detail. We were at Jeff Ruby Stakes in Kentucky and the waitstaff told us Jeff Ruby’s Precinct was a 15 minute ride away so went to check it out…. Best decision of 2023 thus far. They even hooked us up with a private room upstairs to smoke cigars. You will not be disappointed
70th Birthday food feast.
The Manager made the evening extra special. Everyone enjoyed their steaks, fish, and side. Our server Kayly was exceptional. The birthday cake show was enjoyable. Will be back.
Excellent restaurant
This is really an excellent restaurant. We loved the setting but the food and service are what really make it great. We shared a nice bottle of Emmolo Merlot with our meal. They have a nice wine list. We both had the lobster bisque and this was great. I had the bowl and my wife a cup. We also had a nice salad which was part of their special. The special was a six ounce filet and a six ounce lobster tail served over mashed potatoes along with asparagus. This special, for just $65 was really fantastic. We didn’t really need it but we got a half order of the creamed spinach as well. The creamed spinach was outstanding. This restaurant deserves all the accolades. Go and try the Precinct.
Everything was outstanding
We came for a friend's birthday and had a private room. I forgot my cell phone in my car that was valeted. A hostess that led us to our seats, immediately offered to go get it for me. Promptly returning with it. We started with a Bourbon tasting with a selection of 6. This was a self-guided tasting with each drink was properly marked. Great conversation regarding each Bourbon. Nice addition to our experience. Next came the seafood appetizer, in which an array of Oysters, Crab, and shrimp were served along with several different dips. Did I mention the fresh bread? Oh my.... trying to lay off the bread these days but could not resist. Very good! I had the Greek salad and Petite Filet for dinner. It was outstanding and perfectly cooked rare plus. Melted in my mouth. We all split several deserts, to include the Butter Pie (seriously weird sounding but so delicious!), Donuts, Carrot & Chocolate cake. Huge servings and very tasty. The service was outstanding! Waters always full, wine always served, dishes cleared promptly. Bravo! If you are looking for a special experience and can pay for what you get.... This is an amazing restaurant!
Great atmosphere, average steak
The atmosphere was awesome, The wait staff was amazing. We had a great time. However, my steak was pretty average, which for the price and reputation of the place was disappointing. It was a bit tough and dry, which was surprising. The sides did help make-up for some of that disappointment though. Mac & cheese, mushrooms and bridal sprouts were all fantastic. I would go back for the atmosphere, but would order either a different cut or something else.

Food and service was incredible. Myself and my family had a perfect evening. Everything was coursed great and tasted fantastic. Butter pie is a must try.

Went last night @7:00 PM. Got seated promptly and were immediately attended to. Ordered drinks while we looked over the menu. Placed our orders and received them. There were three of us and we all ordered the petite filets. Two of us ordered mashed potatoes and one ordered a baked potato. When they brought the meal, everyone received mashed potatoes. The steaks were cooked as ordered. There was a group of about 12 people sitting behind us that seemed to get to the bulk of the attention as we were never asked if we wanted another drink. All in all, a nice experience but I don't get the hype of The Precinct
Save your money
Was not impressed at all. My overpriced steak was undercooked and raw. Have had much better steaks and at a more reasonable price. Very unfortunate that I had heard so many good things about the place and instead was severely disappointed. If you can't cook a $95 steak medium rare, you shouldn't get to call yourself a steak house. Go to capitol grille, you get better food and better service.
A true 5 star restaurant - - unbelievably good service, delicious food, and and wonderful ambience
Make reservations. This is a must try restaurant when visiting Cincinnati. Venue - old Police Station #6, really cool concept. Food Steak restaurant with seafood. Wonderful wonderful selection of Appetizers - - oysters rockefellers, others seafood, etc. Steak collinsworth was a tasty fillet with rub seasoning, asparagus and crab. Super tender and tasty. Salad both Greek and house were large and perfectly prepared. Dessert - baked alaska was pure delight. Wow it was so tasty. This is a truly remarkable restaurant with fantastic service. They have the black vest-servers, white vest-the waiter or waitress, and the black ninjas - managers. All are freely roaming the dining room attending to every need without request - - all seemingly unintrusive. Truly deliciius and very enjoyable.

* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at Jeff Ruby's Precinct Dayton to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Jeff Ruby's Precinct Dayton!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
