Huge disappointment!
First time at the new location on a not so busy Thursday night. Two errors on bill. July 18…Bartenders rude did not smile. Spent $400. Will not be back.
What a great experience.
We were told that this restaurant was unique in the atmosphere and the attention you get from the staff. This went beyond our expectations. The food was excellent and hats off to Ozzie for his genuine attentiveness. The management came by our table several times checking on our food and service. The is a that you will always remember.

Had an amazing dinner with exceptional service at Ruby's.
Our waiter Andrew was amazing and the GM, Corrie, ( might have misspelled) was very visible, stopping at our table several times and enjoyed the conversation. Al the wait staff was top notch. The meal was great. Steaks cooked exactly how we wanted them. Will be back and asking for Andrew again!!!

Service was good not at the door when you check in but at the restaurant was awesome! Don't be sensitive if you see that locals or celebrities get extra attention it happens a lot and you may have to wait but overall good service. The live Jazz music at the front bar area is pure gold to the ear and the drink selections are not far behind. Everything on the menu is just write however our stake was a bit overcooked so provide instructions upfront how you like your stake and be very specific. Have fun and enjoy!

We celebrated my mom's 89th birthday and it was perfect! We were in a private room and the service was impeccable. The food and atmosphere were superb. The attention to detail is unbelievable! I highly recommend Jeff Ruby's. It is a cut above and something special.

Started with valet parking, then walked in for a fabulous dinner. We were greeted right away and seated within five minutes. Great ambiance in a room full of happy guests being served by attentive staff. Within minutes of being seated we had met the assistant who brought sparkling water which was managed very well through the courses of dinner. They have a fantastic wine list with pricing in line to their menu. Our server was attentive and there to make sure that our evening went flawless providing a level of service that one rarely finds anymore. We started with a watermelon salad for my wife and I had the wedge. She stated how much she enjoyed her dish while mine had a very good blue cheese dressing and a nice portion of a fresh iceberg section, along with a nice piece of pork belly. We both had fillet's with her choosing the smaller 8oz portion while I had the barrel cut a 12oz portion. They were cooked to perfection as medium rare with a nice char on the outside. Our side were the potatoes Anna and Brussel sprouts. We really enjoyed our main course. For desert we had coffee and the banana foster which is prepared table side. What a way to cap off a perfect evening. The coffee is what you would expect from a menu where everything is served as a 10, it was full of flavor and hot. The bananas Foster was over the top and why it is the perfect finish to a fabulous evening. Kudos to an establishment where the expectations are high and many know what to expect when walking in.
The food is good.
The service is great. The ambiance is cool. It is definitely an experience. Overall the price did not match the quality of the food in my opinion especially considering the steak. The sushi was really good and the Mac and cheese was excellent but I think 80 dollars for the steak wasn't worth it.
Bad experience
1st time at the new location across from fountain square and most likely last time myself and other members of my party will visit this location We had reservations booked 2 months out, when we arrived we were told that our table was taken. I asked to speak to a manager and we were moved to a booth after a 30 minute wait.I can say the Service was impeccable. We sent back 1 cowboy steak due to quality issues. I wish we would have sent back both steaks. The sides we ordered also did not meet our expectations from previous visits at the Ruby's restaurants. Really poor quality to say the least. We also ordered a collinsworth and it was excellent. This is most likely the first and last time I will visit this location. We have never had these issues at Ruby's other locations. We have been to all of the greater Cincinnati Jeff Ruby's restaurants and have never had these issues before.
Great experience!
We were visiting Cincinnati for the weekend from Louisiana and had heard great things about Jeff Ruby’s so we wanted to check it out for ourselves. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. The host was very friendly and was able to move us to the dining room when all I was able to reserve online was the bar. We really appreciated that. Our waiter Erick was perfect. Super friendly and knowledgeable and he gave us just the right amount of attention to where we were still able to enjoy our date. He also offered to take our picture which we appreciated. I don’t remember the managers name but he stopped by and was very friendly also, everyone seemed so natural and nothing felt forced which you sometimes see in customer service. The service alone would have been enough to get us to return but the food of course was AMAZING too. My husband and I both got steaks, several sides and cocktails and we enjoyed them all. The icing on the cake for me was as I am back home I received a handwritten card from our waiter Erick thanking us. We travel and dine out often and this was a very nice, personal touch that made us feel special. If we were local we would definitely be regulars but we will try to stop by again soon and we will recommend to anyone we know heading that way. Thanks again to Erick and the whole staff, you guys rock!
Wonderful anniversary dinner
Came to visit the new location for our anniversary dinner. We were WELL taken care of by Pedro, as always! He is such a wonderful, attentive, and entertaining person to be served by. And the food never disappoints.
Excellent in every way
Big fan of Jeff Ruby’s restaurants, having dined in Nashville and at the Precinct in Cincinnati and now in downtown Cincinnati. Very convenient to the theater too. We had a couple of glasses of the Bella Union Cabernet Sauvignon that were excellent. We shared the dry aged 30 ounce bone in Ribeye with a side of creamed spinach. The steak was outstanding! We finished up with a taste of the vanilla ice cream and a cup of coffee. Off then to the theater…..
Good environment bad food
Great place. Good environment, great staff. That being said, the food was awful. It's one of the worst steaks I've ever had. Horrible cut of meat. They cooked the filet about right but was not enjoyable. Oysters were not good as well. Very disappointing.

Wonder meal and excellent service. I went Friday evening a piano player & a band was in the lounge. Beautiful restaurant decor & menu is easy to read.
Top Tier steakhouse
Super fine dining in downtown, great steak, really cool atmosphere, obviously not a cheap meal but same prices as other steakhouses, A lot of awesome desserts and the service was top notch as you would expect

This is the best steakhouse I have eaten at. The food is absolutely fabulous and the service matches. We sat in the bar area with a live band playing. We had a great table. We started with sushi and cob salads! Wow the salads are amazing.I had a Bone in Ribeye and the wife had a filet. Both cooked perfectly, paired with asparagus, sautéed mushrooms and Brussels sprouts. We had carrot cake for desert and it was so rich moist and scrumptious!! This was a perfect meal. If I am near a Jeff Ruby I guarantee we will have dinner there. Oh don’t forget to make a reservation.

Horrible service and the steak was very average I have had better at Ponderosa Steak House. Extremely overpriced on everything and a almost cult like feel about the owner Jeff Ruby!! AND HE HAS DONE WHAT?!? PT BARNUM STLYE ADVERTISING FOR RUN OF THE MILL STEAKS AND FOOD? I ACTUALLY CUT THE DINNER SHORT WHEN JEFF RUBY WALKED IN AND SUDDENLY THE CUSTOMER'S BECAME SECONDARY HIS EGO AND VANITY WERE DISGUSTING AND NOT THE EXAMPLE I WANTED TO SHOW MY CHILDREN!! IT REALLY WOULDN'T HAVE SURPRISED ME IF ALL HIS EMPLOYEES WOULD HAVE STOPPED WHEN HE WALKED IN AND SAID "HAIL RUBY" ALMOST HAD THE GERMANY 1933 VIBES WITH "FUHRER RUBY" IN FULL CONTROL!!!!!

I have to say I was very disappointed in Jeff Ruby's. We heard people rave about this steak house when we arrived to town. Walking by we saw how opulent and busy it was and thought this was a good sign. Reviewing the menu we noted the prices were very high. A plain steak (no sides or toppings) ranged from $65.00 USD to $168.00 USD. We were a table of five. We passed on appetizers but with meals, sides, toppings, and wine our bill was in excess of $1200.00 USD. Surprisingly the meals were at best mediocre. Nothing to rave or write home about. I have had much better steaks at much less lavish restaurants and paid far less. My co-workers had varied meals such as the pork chop, salmon and a number of others. All agreed the meals were at best mediocre. The staff were professional and friendly and the restaurant is very nice but this doesn't justify the price. Unless you want to make an impression by taking someone to an opulent restaurant I would suggest saving your money and avoiding Jeff Ruby's. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. For the price charged you'd expect nothing less than the best and unfortunately it didn't come close to that.
Well deserved good reputation
The food lived up to the very expectations. Service at the bar with Katrina and Rob at the table were first rate. I ended up being a solo diner and arrived early hoping to grab a table but understood the restaurant was full but could wait in the bar, or be seated outside. Not a problem, I was early! What I found us was when I was seated at my reservation time, I counted 9 empty tables in the dining room. Found that a little odd…anyway, I loved the fact they had a great live band in the bar! I was even more appreciative of sound level that still allowed for easy conversations to occur with a very friendly crowd.
Repeat dining and enjoyable experience
Be patient to reserve a table at this restaurant. We booked over 8 weeks ahead. Convenient valet parking on premises. Upon arrival we were promptly greeted, our reservation recognized and seated. Staff service is friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, attentive with staff dressed upscale. The multi-room layout and tables provide for some intimate dining, yet it still feels busy. The noise level is acceptable to maintain a conversation at the table. The extensive food and drink menus provide something for everyone. We enjoyed our food, served right, attractively.

Beautiful piano with a great singer and pianist. The bartenders and staff were great! The porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection and the potatoes Anna were delicious. The potatoes had crispy edges and soft inside. Good sushi and salad options. Highly recommend!

We celebrated my birthday last night and had a wonderful time! Our steaks were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. Drinks, food, service cannot be beat. Our server Umit made our experience so special and we always look forward to seeing him when we go. Can't wait to go back!

Two of the 3 steaks were cooked wrong and despite repeated calls to the restaurant, I sit here a week later and no manager has returned my calls (employees won't address--say I need to speak to manager). Couldn't get the steaks replaced that night, and now I can't get anyone to speak to me about refunding the cost of the wrong food. Had to submit a dispute with my credit card because the restaurant refuses to call me back, so I'm out $200 unless my credit card company decides to be more honorable than Mr. Ruby's restaurant.

Worth every penny! Steaks are perfect with a black pepper sear that is heavenly. Dover Sole was perfect. The Mac and cheese is the best I ever had what a crust on it. Potato Anna yes please. Piano bar is such a cool touch and just loud enough to enjoy but not suffocate the conversation.Service extraordinary. The new location of Jeff Ruby's lives up to the name. It's obvious no expense was spared when building out this location on Vine St across fromFountain Square. Absolutely art deco beautiful.They were more than accommodating as we changed our reservation a couple of times adding more people. Upon arrival, we were seated almost immediately and our table was set and ready to go. This was also during peak dinner times.Our professional waiter, Dallas was excellent. Friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. We felt the service was truly impeccable.Of course we ordered some steaks. Tried the filet, and NY strip , cooked to medium rare. Both were absolutely delicious. If anyone follows my reviews, I usually comment on beer temperature. Jeff Ruby's is on-top of it. Beer was ice cold and served in a chilled pint glass. Little things make a huge difference. Wine list was vast and plenty to choose from.All the other items we ordered were equally delicious, including the in house made deserts and ice cream.Sure your going to drop a couple dimes here, that's why it's considered fine dining. If your like us it happens once a year, but it's worth it. Job well done and next level food and service is done right here.

Spent my wife's 50th Bday in Nashville and just had to try Jeff Ruby's, with our group of 16 family and friends! It did not disappoint, amazing service and food with the help of Trisha, Logan, and their crew! Steak, lobster, fresh sushi, wonderful sides, Old Fashioned, amazing wines, and of course the Bread Pudding for dessert! We can't thank you enough, and we'll be back for sure next time we're in town!

It's very nice to have a restaurant in Cincinnati that brings back the golden age of dining and truly makes dinner an experience. My wife and I spend every milestone in one of Ruby's restaurants but the new location is our favorite next to the Precinct.Where to start regarding the food? The seafood tower was amazing, asking for the crab to be warmed was not an issue. The blue fin tuna plate is unique and exquisite! The half salads are the right size and perfect as to be expected. The butter for the bread even being at the perfect spreadable temperature is just the start to the minor details that create a unique experience. The steaks, well we already know how great they are! The table side old fashion and the Air Ruby mousse cake are to die for.

* PerceptiveWash44, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* PerceptiveWash44 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PerceptiveWash44 for any questions Peter may have as PerceptiveWash44 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse Cincinnati to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PerceptiveWash44 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, PerceptiveWash44 receives the $200 reward which is credited to PerceptiveWash44's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse Cincinnati!
