We were there in April 2022.
I was with a group of eight. We sat outside and had lots of cocktails, oysters on half shell and crab dip. Crab dip was okay, nothing to get excited about. The ambiance is casual and fun. Our server was great. I may come back if I'm in the area.

100% yes From the incredibly friendly service to the atmosphere and food, this place was delightful. Ordered at the table: Latkes (deliciously crispy & came with crème fraîche). Side of eggs (also came with toast). Smoked Trout (a perfectly small portion that was filling but not overly so). Eggs & hash (looked quite satisfying but didn't try myself). The drinks were rather expensive but I found that to be par for the course in NYC. Would highly recommend visiting.

Amazing service and food ! I ordered the squash and burrata app and the filet frites which was better than I expected. Great steak, cooked just right and came with really good sauces. Super friendly staff and good atmosphere / ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyHands down my favorite seafood in the city.
When I have a seafood lover friend visiting, we always come here. Splurge for the tower because everything is so delicious on it! The shrimp are top notch. If you don't go for brunch, make sure to order the BLOODY CAESAR!!!! It's life changing! Comes with a beer shooter & it's SO good. Dinner is amazing here too with all their apps really standing out. The lobster pasta is incredible & their salmon bagel brunch board is perfect for a few people to share!!! HIGHLY recommend! Service is always impeccable here and inside, it is decorated so beautifully & so cozy. Also sitting outside on a beautiful is great because the street is blocked off! Been here 5+ times & will always recommend.

Fantastic! I sat outside and initially came here to have a martini and a dozen oysters. Well, I ended up ordering a filet as well which was excellent. Lovely service and food excellent. Higher price point and worth it. I enjoyed immensely.

One of my favorite spots in West Village! The space is pretty small and intimate while still being a relaxed and casual feel. Staff has always been friendly and prompt. The tuna tartare is fantastic and generous sized. The lobster roll in the past has always been a solid choice however on this visit it had verrry minimal lobster meat which was a bummer for the price. The lobster spaghetti is also a home run. Oysters are always super fresh and delicious. It's tucked on the corner of a quiet neighborhood and it's the perfect spot for a date night or casual meet-up!
Be the first to ReplyBrought my mom here to celebrate her 75th bday.
I only mentioned her bday in the Resy reservation and they made it extra special with their attentiveness and surprise dessert! I had the burger which I've had many times and it didn't disappoint. My mom had the lobster roll and we shared the eggs and caviar. All delectable. I can't wait to go back to have the eggs again and try the fried fish and Bloody Mary...Mmmmmm...
Be the first to ReplyGreat seafood place.
A delicious selection of fresh raw oysters; Good wine, beer, and cocktail options, relaxed and friendly. Loudly too. Our server had great tips. Arctic char is great right now. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5

The food and service were great however the portioning is chintzy even for New York standards. $26 for a tiny cheeseburger served with potato chips vs actual fries is pushing it. It's OK to be expensive but it's not OK to be cheap.

Be the first to ReplyCozy restaurant that feels like you're in New Hampshire.
Definitely get some oysters, the crab dip, and the mussels in curry.

Have been coming to Jeffrey's Grocery for many years for both brunch and dinner. Known for great cocktails and good food in a relaxed setting, Jeffrey's Grocery is always a good choice. Fresh seafood is excellent at Jeffrey's Grocery, but the Lobster Spaghetti is the dish that is the dish that elevates it from other seafood restaurants.
Be the first to ReplyOur experience was ok.
Nothing out of the ordinary. We came for oysters mostly. The oysters were explained as being raised in some unique Japanese style but who's to say. I just like oysters from the northeast. Fresh, unadulterated. No pretensions. I also had the New England clam chowder. Would have preferred Manhattan. It was more like a potato and bacon chowder with a hint of clam. We couldn't find a single clam in the bowl. I know the restaurant has no control over this but hearing the F Bomb in practically every sentence from the neighboring table was a bit of drag on the otherwise comfy atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyI really want to like this place.
Used to live in the neighborhood, so many things are correct. I think it's the very very very consistent mediocre and inattentive 25 year old staff. The space in right, the food is fine to very good but constantly that. But, fuck. The vibe can't be staff chatting, on phones and not paying attention ti customers. It's a pattern not a one off. Your sister spot across the street is still one of the best classical perfect spots in this part of the city? However!!!

It was easy to make an rsvp and they were good on checking up on if you would be able to attend the day of. The drink "Big Yellow Taxi" was refreshing and nice to drink. Food was fine but nothing too crazy -- I got the avocado toast and shared the mochi corn bread. I do want to try their seafood since it is what their menu seems to feature more of.Service was nice, but I was charged more tip than I had put. The bill was split between two cards and i was calculating the mental math for the tip and made sure to have the cents for the tips add up to the bill so that the final charged amount would be clean and flat. I saw my email receipt that the tip was $10 flat and i feel weird they're putting in a tip I personally didn't write in myself.

Love this spot - friendly service, great food, and the cocktails are great too! Most impressively in my view, this is the home of the dirty martini that convinced me martinis can be made well and can actually be delicious. Can't wait to visit again!
Be the first to ReplyExcited to try Jeffrey's recommended by a friend.
Could only get 5PM Sunday resi. Upon arrival, EVERY inside table empty but hostess offered us smallest/ONLY table in middle! When courteously challenged, she was dismissive. We get the message -- we will NEVER return! Food needs to be complemented by SERVICE! Management, training IS needed!!

Be the first to ReplyCame here for some soup.
Clam chowder seems to fit the bill. The ambiance of the place is nice and cozy. Since it was the afternoon, it wasn't all that busy. But at night time, I'm sure it is much livelier. They even have outdoor seating now post-pandemic which I'm sure helps with the wait list.Service was great. Friendly and attentive is how I would describe it. I sat at the bar so I also had the full view of the kitchen which seems small but I'm sure very efficient. This is part of 3 other restaurants owned by the same restaurant group all with different themes/draw to the restaurant.Perhaps, I'll return to try their other offers and a bevy or two.FAN.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite places for oysters and dry gin martinis.
They don't have a wide selection of oysters, but the oysters they source are incredibly fresh and always good. The shucking and presentation is always pristine, and their wide selection of cocktails and wines complement their selection of dishes. They also have great smoked mussels and bloody Mary's! This is were I go whenever I'm in Manhattan and itching for some oysters. They also partner with Billion Oyster Project, which is an organization in NY that has a goal of cleaning up NY waters by 2035 by increasing the number of oysters. Oysters need a surface to attach to and they're very particular. They love attaching themselves to other oyster shells and then never moving again. Because of this, the organization partners with NY restaurants to collect their used shells to put them back into oyster reefs. Go to Jeffrey's and eat oysters - you're providing more homes for oysters!

Went to try out this place to meet up with a friend and the only thing I can say that was memorable was the ambiance, drinks, and oysters. Otherwise food was average, not sure what the hype is all about. Food portions were minimal, the crispy squid we ordered were full of fried lemon and barely any squid. Ceviche was just ok. Lobster roll was nothing special. Felt like most of the food lacked flavor. Then again, maybe those who rave about this place like bland food. In short, overhyped and average food. My local French bistro in queens serves seafood just as fresh while more affordable & tasty.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous food, cute ambiance and friendly service.
We'll be back for sure!! Thank you Jeffrey's for taking such good care of us!
Be the first to ReplyFresser Platter! That's all I'm saying.
Seriously, best brunch in NYC, at least in my opinion.
Be the first to ReplyCame to Jeffrey's on a whim.
Was passing by and got the happy hour oysters as well as the marinated olives and a cider and a beer. Great vibes and great food. Definitely will be returning.
