This place is a must try!! The outdoor patio makes you feel as though you in another country. Gorgeous trees and lights all throughout the space. The food was hands down amazing. The best branzino I've ever had. The steak tar tar was also some of the best I've had. Monica was our waitress and she was full of energy and great to talk to. We went on a Sunday and there wasn't a lot of people which made us nervous at first but I'm glad we were proved wrong. This place deserves to be packed every night!
Be the first to ReplyCustomer service could use some help.
Felt like staff had deep thoughts about how their lives led them to this moment. Cool ambiance, great happy hour but food and service quality would prevent me from returning. Also they didn't have half the items on your menu available.

I will cut to the chase - I left Joliet with mixed feelings! 3 stars feels too low, 4 might be a little high. I'm sad because I SO wanted to love it so much. I ordered the scallops and was extremely disappointed. What I received looks completely different than the images I saw from others. For being the most expensive item on the menu, I was expecting a really excellent quality dish. I think across the board the food was underseasoned. Even our fried were salt-less :/ The corn bread was a nice addition, and I heard the Wagyu Burger was great. My friends said the oysters weren't worth it either. On the other hand, I was really happy with our cocktails. The Mango Thyme and Matcha cocktails are a must. The service was a bit slow and they forgot about the oysters we ordered. They also don't do anything special for birthdays, if you indicate it in the reservation, which was surprising for this quality of restaurant. We ended up having to argue with the staff a little lol. This is a beautiful restaurant yet is unassuming from outside. I wish we were able to see the outdoor section but it was pouring when we went! They have single bathrooms, which I love. Overall, I don't think it's worth a second visit.
Be the first to ReplyThis charming restaurant can be easy to miss.
It is a well-designed and spacious restaurant with wonderful decor and ambience. Most important, the food was simply delicious! Definitely try the Andouille Benedict you will not be disappointed!

Made a reservation at Joliet for my partners birthday and was excited to try a new spot on Miami Beach. The decor is cute and the bar is probably where I'd head to if I were to return. The appetizers were very good, the oysters and bbq shrimp were delicious, but the main courses were underwhelming. I ordered the salmon and it was bland, while my rice pilaf must have been sitting out because the rice was hard and stale. My partner ordered the burger and didn't finish it because it was soggy, and my mother-in-law ordered the branzino and said it was good but nothing special. The cocktails however were great and their happy hour menu would be worth coming back for and trying it out (we just missed it). Our server was great, I think his name was Marcelo, but my memory is fuzzy. He was attentive but not overbearing, always there to fill our water glasses and even surprised my partner with espresso martini shots for his birthday. He also hooked us up with the wings that were only for happy hour, that and the cornbread were full of flavor.

Chris was a 10/10!! He made this experience more than worth it. I rarely visit Miami but I've found my new "go-to" place whenever I do! The food is outstanding and the drinks are out of this world! Totally swanky vibe- and I loved every second of it!! Don't forget to ask for Chris when you visit!
Be the first to ReplyWaiter couldn't have been nicer.
..however food and kitchen service were terrible. Xmas Eve, empty restaurant and still we had to wait for ages, things didn't come out when they were supposed to. One toilet had no toilet paper and the other had no hand towels. But the deal breaker was the food. Scallops were stringy and chewy (at $10 per scallop). Succotash didn't taste fresh. Salad came at the end and didn't have enough dressing. Highlight were the fries, and pretty sure those came out of a bag. They were lovely and gave us a 2nd drink and cornbread on the house for the inconvenience. But we didn't feel great the next morning. Shame because it's a lovely venue and we wanted a nice Xmas Eve dinner.

I was looking for a last minute place to take my bf for his birthday. His only request was that he wanted seafood. Joliet had been on my mind to check out for awhile, based on their menu being described as Cajun & Low Country inspired, so I made a reservation on Resy for their outdoor seating. From the moment we were greeted by the host to the moment we left, every member of the restaurant staff we interacted with was super friendly. Such a rarity in Miami Beach! The outdoor seating is very whimsical and romantic at night, with strung lights and fun music. The inside dining was very cozy and they have a nice, big bar in the middle, but if it's busy (and it was the night I went) just an fyi it gets really loud inside. The cocktails were tasty. My bf was excited that they had a Sazerac on the menu, his favorite cocktail. My favorite was the spiced grapefruit. It's effervescent and refreshing. Most of the food was awesome. The local catch carpaccio & yellowfin tuna crudo were amazing. The steak of the steak frites was out of this world delicious. The fries were kinda cold and way underseasoned, but our server brought us their hush puppy sauce (a spicy remoulade) for fry dipping, and that was delicious. The succotash of my seared scallops dish was tasty and I really liked the side of grilled asparagus. I could have done without the scallops. They were very underseasoned and the honey-benne seed topping coated the sear on the scallop, making them taste rubbery. The coconut cake was a nice finish to the meal. Great coconut flavor, not too sweet, and nice and moist in the middle. Overall, a great dining experience. I'm excited to go back for their happy hour and to try some other items on their menu. My bf called it the best meal he's had in 2023 and proclaimed Joliet to be his new favorite Miami restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyThere was a crying baby.
We asked the server to please ask the parents to take the baby out when the baby cries. She refused and later suggested that we move to the outside garden area. Very upsetting. The dinner, that was probably wonderful, was overshadowed by the server refusing to do anything about this problem. My suggestion is that your wait staff be better trained in hospitality.

Great place, love the ambiance, drinks and food on point, friendly and well prepared staff. Coming back soon!
Be the first to ReplyI made a last minute reservation here a few weeks ago.
We sat outside. I was thinking that would be table on the sidewalk ( I never noticed it even though I have passed by). I was pleasantly surprised with the quiet patio where we were seated. The service was effficient and reiendly , the drinks were good and the food was great. The menu is simple, but the food was far from borning. I will come back.
Be the first to ReplyReally cute vibey restaurant.
I came here with a group of friends and overall everyone was pleased. AC was a little strong so I would recommend bringing a sweater. I ordered the shrimp and grits, the sauce was delicious and the shrimp were pretty big. It's a good place for a weekend brunch with friends.
Be the first to ReplySpotted in for happy hour.
It was great. We had wine and my mom had the fish dip. Can't wait to go back for dinner!
Be the first to ReplyA little bit not enough for 5 stars.
But it's out there. Gotta train employees a bit better . Food was pretty good and prices don't bite. But service charge for that service to be included is a bit too much. If they would of left the tip optional I would definitely put 5 stars. Service I was a bit disappointed . By that I mean. New restaurant and hostess doesn't give you a menu. Then some girl comes to the bar doesn't know any liquor names and screams thru clients to get hostess to come or give her something . Good wise is good but I wouldn't say it was wow. It was above average I would say that. Would definitely recommend to go once at least and try it out .

Went to this place for happy hour and had an excellent experience! $2 oysters, half off cocktails and discounted wine until 7pm. I had the Bordeaux - it was great quality for a happy hour. Chic ambiance, superb service - the bartenders are super nice people. I will be back!
Be the first to ReplyJoliet is great and a solid addition to a Miami food scene
Joliet is great and a solid addition to a Miami food scene that's severely lacking in Cajun/creole food. Joliet helps solve that problem. Menu highlights are just about everything: Crab Louie, Oysters Joliet, Johnny Cakes, NoLa-Style BBQ Shrimp, Gumbo, Cornmeal Fried Yellowtail, Hushpuppies, Corn Bread, and Creamed Corn
Be the first to ReplyWe loved everything about this place.
The great bar with lots of seats, the interior decoration, the music, and specially the warm and kind service. The food is unpretentious yet so complex in flavor with a southern flare including the most famous iconic dishes from New Orleans and Seafood. We tried the Oyster and they were so fresh and delicious with 4 different mignonettes. We also tried the Steak Tartare topped with fried oysters (very different and delicious) also to enjoy more dishes from the amazing Raw Bar we tried the Local Fish Crudo. For the mains we went with the AMAZING scallops, so generous in size and the flavor was incredible. We also tried the Lobster and it was amazing. The coconut rum cake was out of this world. They also have a wonderful outdoor space by the pool and feels super cozy and romantic for a special date. We cant wait to be back and try more menu items
Be the first to ReplySuper cute inside.
It has possibilities only if the staff was a little more inviting and friendly. It's typical south beach lack of service. Went for happy hour and the bartender conveniently didn't offer happy hour wine.

When I saw the photos on Instagram I knew Joliet was a must visit and I am so glad we checked them out. We've been back twice since this visit and the food is so delicious . Probably top three oyster selections and shuckers, the bbq shrimp are not to be missed neither is the blackened fish. The steak tartare packs a nice punch and leaves me wanting more. I would avoid anything broiled. The service is friendly and a laid back vibe which is nice. We prefer to sit at the bar as it is spacious and comfy. The bartenders know there stuff and keep you engaged in conversation. All in all, we felt welcomed by everyone and that is a Win Win. We Will be back again..
Be the first to ReplyFantastic ambiance.
A really cool spot with great decor and music throughout. Was a huge fan of the food, especially the scallops. Rarely has a scallop been so worth it! Maxwell was a great server, and I would definitely come back again! Keeping at four stars, it's still a solid choice.
Be the first to ReplyFrom start to finish what an awesome experience.
Monica was our waitress and she was absolutely spectacular. She walked us through the whole menu and gave us recommendations. The food was amazing, top 5 burgers I've ever had and I love a good burger. My wife had the skirt steak and she loved it. The atmosphere was amazing! What a beautiful place! The dessert was probably the best slice of coconut cake I've ever had in my life. Can't wait to go back!
