Mediocre food and overpriced
Thing is with tapas bars in the UK they are overpriced and not worth paying out for. Having lived in Spain for years and eating real tapas at real prices (often they come free with a drink) it's hard for me to be complimentary

What a wonderful vibe at this lovely restaurant; food fabulous & service first class. Happily changed our booking time when Theatre got cancelled and so helpful & friendly

My wife and I visited this restaurant last night, fantastic really very good, very buzzy, typical Spanish , staff friendly and helpful, the Tapas was great, the mains Meat balls & The Cod was to die for. Will be returning very soon.
Be the first to ReplyStill awaiting a response to my feedback
I had a very poor service experience at The Swan in Esher on 9th July. Following up my verbal complaint to the on site manager on the evening, I emailed via Jose Pizarro's on line feedback template (reference Yates booking) . Zero response to date (as at 25 July), not even an acknowledgement of my complaint. I cannot find any other way of letting head office know of my displeasure, hence resorting to TripAdvisor
Be the first to ReplyBest tapas
Having eaten tapas in many locations in the UK and abroad I am pleased to say that the food here was as good as I have had anywhere. Service was friendly and efficient. Restaurant had some bizarre shortages, eg no bottled water and no coffee available but that didn’t detract from our meal
Be the first to ReplyLack of customer care
So I visited this evening with clients only to have to endure a Dog barking the entire meal, I tried to tolerate the noise but as it went on too much I alerted the manager, the reply I got what not expected !! “ we are Dog Friendly “ I also informed him I have a severe animal allergy that can result in hospital, I also reminded him how other allergies are catered for. Will not be returning to an establishment that priories animals over customer welfare . Maybe dog should be welcome when eating outside to be inclusive of us all as oppose to just those that can tolerate animals

Very average. Staff not well trained or integrated. Good was average. We go to Brindisa a lot, and this is similarly priced but a lot less quality. Amateurish, slightly dingy dining room - I’ll never go back. Good wasn’t terrible
Be the first to ReplyOkay if you have money to spend on small portions of ordinary food...
Visited Jose Pizarro after visiting Barts Hospital.
My husband & I decided to treat ourselves and the menu looked ok.
We were however disappointed - we chose a bottle of wine plus 3 tapas meals to share. On ordering, one of our choices was unavailable so we had to choose an alternative. (Very difficult as I do not eat meat)...
Meals were okay and I understand we pay for the venue/ambience BUT £5.00 for a small portion (to be honest) was cold fried tomato on toast, £14.00 for 4 prawns, and £5.00 for fried dice potatoes was rather expensive.
Such a shame as we really liked the restaurant and the service, but it was not worth it.
Good but not great
Visited on Saturday for a joint birthday celebration- the waitress must have overheard us talking because they presented us with a complimentary slice of cheesecake with a candle. This was very unexpected and also probably the most delicious cheesecake ever.
The tapas were average - nothing wrong with them but equally not delicious. There was also too long between tapas so we ended up eating some dishes just on their own. The sangria was average but reasonably priced for London.
Service was good but overall we were a little underwhelmed. The cheesecake definitely saved the day.
Style over substance?
Lovely setting-great room. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Food not so fab. The meats were okay nothing more but the octopus was chewy and didn’t have much taste (although the mash with it was nice) - and the manzanilla wasn’t anywhere near cold enough. Bread was gorgeous. So, not awful but not the thrill I was hoping for.

Quite amazing! The food, the delivery, the instructions, the free paella dish, the delicate touches of the oils, the sauces, the quality of prawns and I now know how to make a paella! Great job, Jose!
Be the first to ReplyGreat tapas dishes
In a nice vibrant location this restaurant is well worth a visit. The tapas dishes available are inspiring and delicious and there is a varied selection of wines to choose from. Overall great and can’t wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyDrinks
We went for drinks at about 9.30pm it took ages to get a seat as the waitress basically ignored us and seated another group first. It was £32 for 4 drinks which was on the expensive side. We tried to order another round just before 10.30pm and we were told that the bar had closed! Although we saw them serving another table. Absolutely shocking service will not return.
Be the first to ReplyLunch in Broadgate Circle, next to Liverpool Street Station
We took a close friend to Jose Pizarro Broadgate as we cannot currently go to our house in Spain due to Covid. We thought we could give her the Spanish Tapas experience. Sadly the only thing Spanish about this place is the name!
The food was bland, the portions were small and very expensive. We had to send the spare ribs back, as these were just pure fat on a bone. The patatas bravas were about as far from the Spanish experience as you can get. The only thing that was good were the spicy prawn fritters but at £11.00 for five bite sized pieces (between 3) they needed to be. So disappointed as Broadgate is a lovely venue, but I wont be going back to this restaurant again. In fairness to the lady serving us, she was very quick to take the spare ribs off the bill but that made us wonder if we weren't the first complaint!
Amazing Tapas Dinner, Highly recommended
We really enjoyed this lovely tapas restaurant, the food was delicious and the service amazing, a great thanks to Jairo who made the dinner really delightful! We’ll definitely come back. Good job guys

We decided to make the most of one of the last days of warm sunshine and avail ourselves of the generous September extension to the EatOut promotion. Thanks José! The Broadgate Circle location is fun for alfresco people watching and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.
