Stay away from this restaurant!!!
True, Vegas only has 3 kosher meat restaurants these days but this place doesn't deserve your patronage. You don't deserve to be cheated either.
I know that the Kosher food market is tough, especially with Covid al all, but this place takes the cake for being the worst place I ever visited. Price wise, lack of services and food that is not fresh, in my opinion.
This place used to be Genesis and was taken over by current management not too lang ago.
The vibe is creepy and depressing, the place was nearly deserted when I arrived (7 in the evening) yet Iwas asked if I had a reservation... The food is mediocre at best, the prices outrageous even for an out-of-town restaurant and the service is poor to nonexistent.
BBQ Wings for instance costs $25, that's TWENTY FIVE dollars. You'd think the portion would be huge. But no, I got exactly 5 small wings. Yes five. That's $5 a wing for the chepest kosher item in any meat store.
The Chinese food is appalling and in my opinion not freshly made. The portions are ultra small and on top of it all they took a $27 dollar gratuity for an already exaggerated $150 bill.
There is one waiter (he seemed to be armed) and one manager/ boss. The waiter was trying to be nice but the manager / owner was as rude as they come.
Vegas deserves better. YOU deserve better. Try the other two restaurants in town. They are both reasonably priced and have decent food. Perhaps it explains why they're not as empty as this creepy place.
Not worth going to
Owner was a bit rude. Prices were way too high for what you get. I never had a schnitzel plate without a potato. Israeli salad only. My dinner companion ordered Chinese food. They charged $6 extra for fried rice. Stay away. Better places to eat in the area.
Be the first to Replygreat food
by the way they changed name to King Solomon Table, great food and service. a bit pricy but very good service ,fast and courteous..big menu
Be the first to ReplyNew Ownership, Great Location/Food
Genesis is now called Solomons Table and it is under new ownership.
The food is delicious, the service is quick, and the staffers are very friendly. They go out of your way to make you feel comfortable
The food was very fresh and the portions are nice sized. They have a 2 piece band playing live music during the Dinner hours.
Loud enough to be heard, yet soft enough not to interfere with your conversation.
Located minutes from the Strip, less than a $10.00 Uber ride.
Good Kosher Food, Reasonably Priced.
We highly Recommend the Yemenite Soup and the Ribsteak. Also, the bathrooms are clean and spacious.
Just watch your bill
At first our experience was pleasant enough, but as the meal progressed our experience changed. We ordered one appetizer, ate it and then they brought another to the table. We pointed out that we had already received ours so they took it back to the kitchen, but we were charged for two appetizers. Several things on the menu were not available. The food we finally settled on was fine--nothing outstanding. Very slow to come to the table. They had several desserts on the menu, we ordered one but once again, menu items were not available. They actually had only one dessert available so we passed as it was not what we wanted, but what we ordered originally showed up on the bill...now two items added to our bill that should not have been. The "icing on the cake" was the 28% tip they automatically put on the bill. When I asked if this was a Las Vegas regulation (we were tourists) they pretended to not know. When I asked them to remove the tip and I would leave my own, they had to call a man that looked like he might be the owner to the table who rudely told me "just fine, don't leave a tip." But, since they had already run my credit card, he had to bring me cash and tried to short me on this, telling me rudely again how I shouldn't leave a tip. When he brought me the correct difference he practically threw it on the table. I also saw them question a customer of another culture before they would seat him because he didn't "look" like he would be able to afford the bill. He had to tell them he wasn't going to run out on the check. Bottom line: Rude to people that were not part of their community and dishonest in their business practice. I suggest you go elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyKosher dining and also Chinese food
A nice strip mall place with Kosher food. Middle Eastern food and also Chinese food. Small table salads were very tasty (cole slaw, red cabbage salad, corn salad, pickled beets, ect..). Schnitzel was good, not great. Rice or fries come with everything. Deserts were good, not fancy (and non-dairy). If you want/need kosher food, then this fits the bill.

Service was great. Food was fresh and tasty. Highly recommended for eating out in Las Vegas. Thank you ...
Be the first to ReplyReally Nice Place with Great Food!
We traveled to Vegas for the first time last month and decided to try Genesis Restaurant. The decor was very nice! The place looks clean and the food was delicious! I believe they are the only Kosher restaurant in Las Vegas that offers Chinese food and that is why I chose them! The only problem we had was that it took VERY long for the food to be ready. They seemed to be a bit understaffed (and the restaurant wasn't completely full). I also found it a bit strange that they covered the table with a large sheet of paper instead of changing the tablecloth between guests. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would definitely go back.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice, well appointed, clean
If you are looking for a nice, clean, glatt kosher restaurant minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, the Genesis restaurant is the place you've been looking for !
A great bar, reasonable prices, good menu, fast service, and delicious food. What more can you ask for ?
Less than $10.00 via Uber from the Venetian Hotel, the Genesis is an upscale quality restaurant that stand apart from the similar restaurants in the neighborhood.
We were very impressed with the soups, salads, and steaks. They also have a wide range of Chinese dishes available in addition to shwarma, falafel, etc.
Go and enjoy !!
