Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Service was slow.
We were seated right away, but the whole time, most of the trays on the conveyor belt were empty. Their soy sauce dispensers are a pain, and it takes a long time just to pour a little bit of sauce. The food was tasty, but the portions seemed smaller, fish/meat were sliced thinner, and plates were more expensive than a similar revolving sushi place that I prefer. We ordered water on the touchpad and it took a long time to get it. Same with our check. We had to waive down a server after 10+ minutes to get our check.
I think the 3 star rating is pretty accurate.
Unfortunately, I don't think Kura is anything special, considering all the amazing sushi spots in Vegas. The service was good, and the staff was nice. I did love the robot that brought our drinks out! So funny. The selection of sushi was good, I feel like I wasn't really impressed with all the options. A lot of salmon options, and not very many speciality rolls. Obviously, we could order the specialty rolls, as well as a variety of other things. The California Roll was my favorite. At $3.20 a plate, it doesn't really seem like a a great deal either. A lot of other places offer better quality sushi plates for less. Overall, not super impressed unfortunately.
Great, fast & CLEAN Great selections! & they even give
Great, fast & CLEAN Great selections! & they even give you a little prize bonus when u eat over 15 plates (which makes it very interactive) Aldric personally came out to hand us our babies sippy cup which is his favorite and that made our experience so much more personal to us.
I don't live in the Vegas area but visit quite frequently,
I don't live in the Vegas area but visit quite frequently, but whenever I eat sushi here the food is always good, the prices are more decent compared to the sushi places where I live, it's always clean, and the service is good.
The place looked cool so we decided to try it.
Service needs work. There was one girl working the floor and it seemed like she didn't want to be there. The ordering system was weird. They need a better and more efficient way of ordering. Portion of the food is really small for the price. The fish/sashimi is cut really thin as well.
We've been to a few Kura revolving sushi locations across
We've been to a few Kura revolving sushi locations across the nation. This one was a similar experience as the others, although this location has the least amount of sushi revolving along the primary belt. We did happen to go closer to late lunch time, not dinner, so perhaps that had something to do with the (lack of) demand. The service was friendly, with robots delivering drinks and sushi arriving directly at the table. It's unfortunate seeing how much the prices have crept up- especially the ramen bowls. Despite that, Kura is continually our go-to place for fast and reliable favorites such as Inari pockets, sesame balls, takoyaki, and soy paper wrapped shrimp avocado handrolls.
We are fans of revolving sushi and we go to one at least
We are fans of revolving sushi and we go to one at least once a week. We are always in this area so we decided to give this place a try. Food - 4/5, The food was decent and has ample choices. There is a conveyor belt and a tablet where you can place an order such as hand rolls, ramen, sides and etc. We liked everything that we got on the belt. The only thing we thought was bland was the tonkatsu ramen. Service - 1/5, the only decent person who gave an effort to give good service is the front desk lady who walked us to our table. The server that "tried" to check on us was absolutely one of the worst servers we had in any restaurant. We told her specifically that we would check out with her and she totally forgot about us and left us hanging. She walked to our table with half her body always ready to walk away while asking questions and we can barely answer. She also has a smug face the whole time that she wouldn't want to serve us at all. Honestly, it was one of the worst service we have experienced. She looks like she is having a bad day and took it on us. Ambience - 4/5, it looks clean and organized. The whole system of getting a token after 15 plates seems a bit fun esp if you have kids. Overall it would be 3/5. Will I ever go back? Probably not. There are other revolving sushi in the area where you get the same menu and a better service. The servers are not snobs like this one. We came here after a long run and is ready to eat but it wasn't a good end to a very long day so far.
The restaurant advertised 15 plates for the peanut series
The restaurant advertised 15 plates for the peanut series toy, so I decided to dine there. However, when I checked out, the server gave me a different toy. I informed her that this was not what they advertised and requested the Peanut series toy instead. But the server stated that it was only for "customers." I was confused as I was also a customer. The server was rude and refused to provide me with what they had advertised. Although the toy itself was not a big deal, the way the server treated me was unacceptable. Moreover, the restaurant did not give customers what they had advertised, which left me disappointed. The food itself is nothing special. For $60, you could get something better somewhere else with AYCE.
It's fine.
I eat here every once in a while with friends because the vibe in here is fun and trendy, and the little prizes you get per every 15 plates is fun. However, at $3.20 per plate it's not as much of a deal as it used to be. The sushi quality is slightly below average compared to the several amazing sushi spots around town. It's passable, but you could get way better. All of that aside, if you aren't very hungry and you only want around 5 plates, it's still a decent deal. If you're looking for great quality sushi, go elsewhere.
The automation of the restaurant was a neat novelty.
The food was okay, the revolving sushi is all available to order on the machine in front of you so use the carousel to see what looks good and then just order it fresh. The staff was not very friendly. Good thing you have to interact with them minimally. Had a hair in miso soup and staff really didn't care. Not impressed, plenty of other great sushi places in town to choose from instead of choosing this mediocre establishment.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
